Any joiners?

This will be dc2. Edd of July 2nd.

Not one symptom yet. Going to enjoy that and hope it lasts!

tatatetelle · 12/11/2016 21:27

Hi Ladies, can I join? I am 5 weeks today, of #1 Clomid baby 😊 EDD is July 15th, which feels so far away!

Kitsandkids · 12/11/2016 23:27

I've just been to the loo before bed and there was a very small streak of dark red blood in my pants which freaked me out a little! Nothing when I wiped so I suppose that's a good thing. I've had no spotting or anything up to now so can't help but think it might be the beginning of the end. Hope not, obviously. I'm 7+1 today.

I've got a doctor appointment on Monday anyway so hope things will stay fine til then and that the dr can offer a bit of reassurance.

DamsonGinIsMyThing · 12/11/2016 23:51

It's probably nothing Kits but it's always best to get these things checked out.
I'be just cleaned the work fridge out cos it stunk of sour milk. And that does nothing for my middle of the night time morning sickness Grin

crombanna · 13/11/2016 07:20

Morning. Kits, tiny red streak sounds totally fine. Although when it happens to me in a couple of weeks (5+4 today) I'll be on here saying the same thing!

Worrying about everything though...well, that's part of being a parent now I think. After the 12 week scan it'll be the 20 week scan, then labour, then how to feed them, then schools, then jobs, then ARGH!!! Cheery ain't I? Smile.

I've become "the thrasher", I sleep ok but I toss and turn a lot and always without fail wake up between 4-6 in the morning. Have to be very careful with how I lie as my boobs feel so stabby. But no sickness. In fact, appetite reduced and I've lost a bit of weight.

I've told a few people now but have this strange desire to not tell anyone else until it's too difficult to hide. I'm enjoying having this happy little secret, and still being just me, if you see what I mean.

Seahawk80 · 13/11/2016 07:57

Morning Kits, I'm sure it will be fine. I'd just wait for the drs tomorrow as the only other option on a Sunday is a&e and you'd probably have to wait a long time. Hopefully it's just a totally random thing. I know what you mean about the worrying though - I can't stop at the moment!

Kitsandkids · 13/11/2016 08:18

Thanks all. I've been Googling and seen it's quite normal so hopefully all will be well. In a way it's a good as it is proof 'something' is going on. I originally made the dr appointment because I was concerned it's not pregnancy but the start of the menopause!

Sewingbeatshousework · 13/11/2016 08:57

Can I join? Got BFP yesterday, I'm only 3+4 today. I think EDD is 25/7 . This will be DC3 - complete shock to the system!

10Betty10 · 13/11/2016 09:16

Hi can I join?

My EDD is 19th July 2017 so am currently 4 weeks and 6 days pregnant with my first baby.

Have been having a little read of this thread- so it isn't just me that is MEGA bloated and constipated/gurgling guts then!!!!

GreedyDuck · 13/11/2016 10:29

Hello all. EDD 16/7, already have a DD who turns two next month. I'm 42, so wasn't expecting this, and not expecting it to stick but you never know.

Will have an early scan at 7/8 weeks to check for hb, am quite paranoid about getting too excited too soon due to having a mmc in 2013. Then Harmony at 10 weeks just before Christmas.

Ate a ton of super mature Camembert last night, a runny unstamped egg this morning, and am still on 5 cups of strong tea a day. Think I may still be in denial.

Sunshineeyes · 13/11/2016 10:44

Welcome all newbies. Hello to everyone else, so I have had an interesting few days! As I don't get regular periods and only ovulate every other month I really had very little idea how far along I am so I went by when I last had some sort of a period(24 Sep) which was really a small gush of blood when I woke up and nothing else.
I had my booking appt at Rosie on Friday which lasted 2.5 hrs, when I told my midwife I didn't really know how far I am she asked to feel my belly, she reckons from feeling that I am around 10-12 weeks!!!!!ShockShock
I won't know comprehensively until Wednesday week when I have my dating scan. Does anyone know if it possible to "feel" how far I am as I thought it was a bit weird that she could?
In other news, my boobs are killing me but I went to debenhams yesterday and bough 3 maternity bras- they are Miriam Stoppard- I have to say, it is so comfortable and I haven't taken it off since putting it on. My friend told me about them and I am so grateful she did as my boobs defo don't hurt so much. Debs are on mega week this week so there is 20% off them so if your boobs are hurting I recommend you get one.

MrsBobDylan · 13/11/2016 13:54

Hello sewing, betty and greedy and congratulations!

Kits it's all such a bloody worry isn't it?I had a bleed with dc1 and all turned out fine but it was such a shock.

Sunshine that sounds quite exciting!I I have always wanted to discover I was about 6 months on at that first scan and save myself 6 months of waiting and worrying ha ha!

I like your style greedy...I am still on caffeine but it will start to make me feel sick soon sadly.I did have a nice lump of stilton the other day too, which was delicious. I'm 43 and have a whole load of age related pregnancies too, so I can relate! I might do harmony before christmas too, it's the cost which is putting me off those, so I keep wavering.

MrsBobDylan · 13/11/2016 13:56

That should say age related pregnancy worries...

GreedyDuck · 13/11/2016 15:22

Glad I'm not the only wrinkly MrsBob! I think I'm going to find this one a bit more tiring. I was v lucky last time and had no nausea or sickness throughout. I did have SPD, but have been fixing my core with a personal trainer over the last six months so hoping that will help.

I had the Harmony last time and it was a big reassurance, but yes, rather spendy. My hospital offers it free to old mums now though, so that's a bonus.

GreedyDuck · 13/11/2016 15:27

I wouldn't usually play quite so fast and loose with the food rules but we are in Whitstable for the weekend. I did draw the line at oysters, but it was tough. Had an interesting chat with the proprietress of a specialist cheese shop about the various risks. For any first timers on here I would recommend the Emily Oster book, Expecting Better. It's very good and uses actual science to debunk a lot of the conflicting advice pregnant women are subjected to.

Popularcontrarian · 13/11/2016 15:32

That Emily Oster book is excellent. It confirmed all the doubts I had about the various banned foods. I ate sushi, blue cheese, runny eggs and under done steak with DS. Got quite a few frowns off some people I have to say Hmm

DeliciouslyHella · 13/11/2016 16:57

Can I join in please?

Have just discovered I'm pregnant with DC2, due on 19th July. This is rather a shock - I had a miscarriage in the summer and although we had planned to start trying again at Xmas, we had one tiny moment a few weeks ago... and here we are. Blush Am desperately trying not to get my hopes up, but there's definitely a flicker of hope between the shock and surprise.

Sunshineeyes · 13/11/2016 17:05

Welcome delicious and congratulations. Have everything crossed for you! How far were you gone last time?

LuciBee231015 · 13/11/2016 18:55

Sunshine I can't believe that!!! How amazing! 10-12 weeks and had no idea! Love it. I've got to wait another 3 weeks for my midwife appointment, I'll be 10 weeks by then.

I have a blood test booked for this Friday.

I have booked an early scan for next Sunday. I just want to see a heartbeat. The wait for the 12 week scan is sooooooo long!

MrsBobDylan · 13/11/2016 19:27

greedy and popular I agree that there are quite a few foods which pregnant women are told to avoid, which are fine. I always have some kind of inappropriate craving when pregnant-last time it was champagne which was very galling I don't really drink normally. You'll be pleased to know I did the responsible thing and held off.

That's great your hospital offers harmony for older mums greedy-that's awesome. Do you remember how long the results took to come back? One incentive to pay up is to have it done at 10 weeks with the hope the results are in just before Christmas, but I think I'll be cutting it fine.

Congrats deliciously!

Sasspop · 13/11/2016 20:19

Sunshine I'll be interested to know how far you are when you have your scan as a midwife should not be able to feel that your 10-12 weeks pregnant.. Please do let us know! And thank you for the bra advice, mine seem to be feeling loads better now but will have a look for them I think x

wildone81 · 13/11/2016 20:34

God, I've just been sick again, for 5th day in a row.....and this time it was an advert for an egg mcmuffin that set me off Confused

Anyone else feeling green?

alex171 · 13/11/2016 20:45

Hi can I join please? I'm 5 weeks 3 days so due 13th July. I have a 22 month old little boy and I've got my first midwife appointment on Thursday. Can't seem to remember anything about this time of my last pregnancy so I'm trying not to stress too much about symptoms/lack of symptoms but the 12 week scan seems a long way off :(

Popularcontrarian · 13/11/2016 20:55

Wildone that's awful! I'm too early for sickness I think. I hope it passes quickly for you. Is it possible you have a bug and it's not pregnancy related?

Sunshine I'm also amazed the mw could tell that from just feeling, keep us updated!

Congrats newcomers and welcome Smile

wildone81 · 13/11/2016 21:02

I thought I was too, because I'm only 6 weeks today, but feel fine apart from having zero appetite and loosing pretty much anything I manage to eat (that isn't a white carb!) so I don't think it's a bug....

Sewingbeatshousework · 13/11/2016 21:09

I've been feeling ill for a week and I'm only 3+4 🤔, extremely tired & gassy also. I also had very early symptoms with dc2. Just nauseous though not been sick.
