OohNoDooEy · 09/11/2016 18:13

No, I really can't Shock

Popularcontrarian · 09/11/2016 20:41

Are any of them twins purple? Yikes I think I'd have a nervous breakdown!

purplebella · 09/11/2016 21:13

Lol no popular although 1 isn't quite born yet! She just pops them out one after the other! She seems to cope quite well, I certainly couldn't

fluffandsnuff · 09/11/2016 21:17

My boss has 3 under 2 😂
Poor guy

I had forgotten just how long the list of forbidden things is! Tonight's was the Calpol plug-in thingy (DS has a stinking cold and got sent home from nursery). Apparently essential oils are a no-go so DH is on duty if the wee man wakes up tonight. Every cloud...!

sparkle789 · 09/11/2016 21:19

Wow, she's a braver woman than me!

I think your right oohno, so much is down to their personalities. My girls get on fairly well mostly, they clash at times but dd2 is very strong willed and dd1 is at the dramatic pre-teen stage!

purplebella · 09/11/2016 22:28

I hear you fluff! I'm down to one coffee a day til i get decaff, I had to read the list cos I forgot what you can't eat!

Portolady85 · 10/11/2016 00:48

Mine is my 5th pregnancy and I have two boys and 2 girl already, expecting another boy.26 weeks pregnant now and can't wait to see himSmile

purplebella · 10/11/2016 07:11

portolady I bet it's awesome at christmas round your houseGrin (not having to buy all the presents though!)

Kitsandkids · 10/11/2016 07:15

Are you all being really strict about food? I am sticking to the guidelines about tinned fish and caffeine limits, but I'm just carrying on as normal otherwise, though trying to eat generally healthy (I don't eat things like pate anyway). Is there anything else it's vital to be strict about?

purplebella · 10/11/2016 07:31

I'm gonna be eating alot of crap but I won't be eating anything forbidden, kitsandkids. At least until I know it's a sticky bean! The worst thing for me is the caffeine Hmm

Sasspop · 10/11/2016 07:55

I've cut down to two small cups of tea per day, don't think I can do less than that in the winter.. And I've started having well done steak (I'm a medium rare usually) not even eating eggs as don't like them well done!

crombanna · 10/11/2016 08:03

Damson sorry the scan wasn't as reassuring as it could be. These two weeks will be tough but you will get through it. I'm also a "the worst will definitely happen" kind of person. But your partner is right, it could well be good news in 2 weeks. Everything crossed for you.

As for eating... erm...I probably won't eat mould-ripened cheese and am having 1 cup of tea a day rather than my normal coffee plus several strong teas. I love pâté might have a little bit at Christmas. Generally in the mood for healthy food at the moment but am under no illusions that this will change in the next few weeks!!!

Kitsandkids · 10/11/2016 09:10

I've just had a sausage and fried egg sandwich from the local cafe. I did ask for the yolk to be cooked through and it was, but was still a little squishy. What's the risk with eggs? Is it 'just in case' they carry salmonella or is there anything else?

fluffandsnuff · 10/11/2016 09:38

Think it's the salmonella risk. Don't worry though, I'm sure you'll be fine 🙂

DS woke in the night screaming for me so I ended up sitting in a room stinking of lavender anyway. Guess we are all just doing the best we can. Have now caught DS cold and feel like crap because every cold remedy says check with doc before taking when pg so haven't taken anything.

Damson- how are you today?

wildone81 · 10/11/2016 09:38

I baked on Tuesday night, and threw a right strop when I realised I couldn't eat the left over cake batter! Was worried about cutting out diet cola but I've not missed it at all. No withdrawal headache at all, which is a pleasant surprise. Not happy about a brie free Christmas though Angry

Glitterbandit · 10/11/2016 09:58

Morning everyone. DS has come down with chicken pox today. Awesome! I'm other news I saw the midwife yesterday and she said I was 7+4, which I know isn't right. I'm booked in for a scan on December 7!

LuciBee231015 · 10/11/2016 10:21

I gradually cut out my caffiene when was ttc so it's not been a shock for me at all.

Today was the second morning of me feeling sick as soon as I opened my eyes. Are a pitta bread whilst putting on my make up 🙈 And then went for my flu jab. Not had one before but fingers crossed for no side effects.

I have a meeting in London all day tomorrow and need to get on the train for about 6.45... That's going to be intesresting. Think I better get some biscuits to keep in my bag and fingers crossed I don't start gagging on the train in front of everyone!

Portolady85 · 10/11/2016 11:33

Purplebella yes can get quiet hectic but I love being a mom and if I could I would have more but have decided this is our last oneSmile.Xmas is expensive though ConfusedWink

MsJuliaHen · 10/11/2016 11:49

Can I join too? I'm due around mid-July. Just been to the doctors today, and trying to get a midwife appointment but not in the catchment area for my preferred hospital.
Has been trying for over a year and this is my first pregnancy, so I'm quite nervous. Think about booking in for an early/reassurance private scan for piece of mind. Is 8 weeks around the best time?

LuciBee231015 · 10/11/2016 12:05

Congrats Julia! I booked my early one for 8 weeks. It's next Sunday. Xx

sparkle789 · 10/11/2016 13:43

I don't like most of the foods that are on the banned list so it doesn't bother me too much.

Miami81 · 10/11/2016 14:06

Hi there.
Can I join? Edd is 11th July. Have my flu jab next week. First dc, had a Mmc at 8 wks April so totally bricking it. But trying to stay positive. Have really sore boobs and some general stomachy twinges. No illness yet (weirdly I really want it as didn't have it last time and am hoping this is very different), just really want to feel pregnant so I can relax a small bit. We are thinking an early scan at around 9wks as the stats I have seen suggest that is the same risks as at your 12 wks (if that makes sense). Best of luck everyone.

MsJuliaHen · 10/11/2016 14:18

luci best of luck for Sunday! Hope it all goes well :)

DamsonGinIsMyThing · 10/11/2016 15:33

Hi ladies. I'm ok today. Went for lunch and a bit of Christmas shopping with my mum. Told her I'm pregnant and that I've been bleeding etc. She's really happy for us. She used to be a midwife, and well, if worst comes to worst I'd be telling her anyway so it felt right to tell her I'm pregnant. Plus she's my mum and I needed her support.
I'm just pretending nothing is wrong, I'm almost behaving like I'm not pregnant, well, without the drinking and smoking. But I suppose it's a way of coping with the wait. One day down, 13 to go. Keeping myself busy with a load of elearning for my new job.
