Hi everyone🙋 I hope you don't mind me joining but I've been doing hpt's and I finally got a nice strong line this morning so I think I can finally say I'm pregnant! The nhs site tells me my edd is 19th July

Sasspop · 09/11/2016 11:17

MrsBobDylan I was lying awake thinking about those last night whilst arranging my 3 pillows to prop around myself and cuddle haha!!

Sasspop · 09/11/2016 11:18

Congratulations purplebella x

purplebella · 09/11/2016 11:22

Now I've joined I'm gonna read all your previous posts to catch up!
This is my 3rd dc and I'm really not looking forward to the sickness!

Littlemisssugarplum88 · 09/11/2016 11:29

Haha sasspop im not sure I'll be that lucky lol.

Ooh do you know the name for the pillows?! I'd like one too :) xx

Notyetthere · 09/11/2016 11:50

One of the unlucky ones here. Currently feel like I downed a bottle of whisky last night; even the shakes that go with a hungover, not helped by our office ac for sure.

Seahawk80 · 09/11/2016 13:28

My sickness gets worse through the day. Going to my sisters for dinner tonight and not planning on telling her yet so hopefully can get through dinner without gagging. She's almost 6 mths pregnant so at least she won't try to feed me tuna or pate!

OohNoDooEy · 09/11/2016 13:31

There's literally no winning. DC1 I was sooo poorly - lost quite a lot of weight and felt terrible but not overly worried about a MMC.

This one is showing no signs at all, I feel completely normal. Fear of a MMC is through the roof

Went to EPU this morning. They were lovely.
Had an internal scan which shows a gestational sac and a yolk sac but there's no fetal pole visible. Sac is measuring less than six weeks.
So I'm going back in two weeks to see if there's any growth evident. If not it will be classed as a miscarriage.
Because I have PCOS I don't ovulate on CD14, so it might just be I ovulated late and it's too early to see on a scan or it might be that my pregnancy isn't viable.
Have had a good cry, DP is being brilliant, trying to get through to the community midwives to put back my booking in appointment.
It just feels a bit cruel, I was told I wouldn't get pregnant without intervention and now I've conceived but I don't know if it's going to stick. I just needed to see a heartbeat so much.

Flowers Damson

Fingers and toes crossed for 2 weeks time. That's a long wait.

DamsonGinIsMyThing · 09/11/2016 13:53

Thank you.
The nurse was so kind. She's got me in for the first appointment of the day as I'm working the night shift before so I can go there straight from work.
She said the blood I saw could be old implantation blood coming out or a small clot, they didn't seem overly concerned by it.
DP had bought me a chocolate orange. Which is helping.

LuciBee231015 · 09/11/2016 13:59

Damson hope you're ok. Fingers crossed you ov'd later than you thought and all is ok. Two weeks does seem like a long time to wait in limbo. Just make sure you look after yourself. Fingers toes and everything still crossed for you and dp xx

Seahawk80 · 09/11/2016 14:05

Oh Damson, that's tough Flowers

I'm in the same situation, going back on 15th, also have pcos so not 100% on dates, I'm about a week behind what traditional workings out would say so they want me to come back. I was about to be reffered to a fertility clinic when I conceived so I know how you feel.

I won't lie - it will be a long 2 weeks, if you can stay away from Google, you will find people who were ok and people who weren't and it doesn't help. I've stopped googling and panicking now and I feel much better. But I still think about it all the time. DH and I have pencilled in a few things next month in case it's bad news next week that we couldn't do if I am pregnant, that has helped me too but then I've alsways been a planner. I've also bought a load of cheapy hpts and seeing a good line on them keeps me positive.

Fx for you and here's to the next 2 weeks passing as fast as possible x

purplebella · 09/11/2016 14:08

I hope everything is ok damson, this part is so terrifying x

DamsonGinIsMyThing · 09/11/2016 14:15

Thanks ladies. It helps knowing that you're here.
I've sworn off google. Im a nurse myself so don't trust Dr Google.
The planning thing is a good idea seahawk I'm going to pencil in a trip to the aquarium I think.
Dunno, I just feel numb. DP and I have had a good talk about things which has helped enormously. He doesn't understand how I'm feeling but he's trying his hardest and responding so well and I can't ask for more than that.

Seahawk80 · 09/11/2016 14:21

I think it's harder for the blokes as they aren't constantly analysing and second guessing their bodies. DH has been very good but I feel like he's basically of he mindset of we find out at the next appt and that's that, just have to wait.

sparkle789 · 09/11/2016 14:24

Sass - I'm the same my boobs are agony and i woke up a lot last night because of them. I've got bad trapped wind too.

Hi purple, congratulations. I'm having my third too. How old are yours?

I've got my fingers crossed for you damson.

I'm having a lot of cramps etc not too painful and I know it's normal but it's making me worry. I think I'm going to book a private scan, mainly to find out how far along I am but also slightly for reassurance.

DamsonGinIsMyThing · 09/11/2016 14:25

Yeah he's said that. He's taken it as positive that there is visible and healthy looking sacs, whereas I just saw empty spaces where the fetus should have been. But I'm very much a 'prepare for the worst' kind of person and he's the opposite.

Seahawk80 · 09/11/2016 14:30

Same here Damson let's try to let the positivity rub off on us!

purplebella · 09/11/2016 14:58

Hi sparkle my 2dd are 11 and 6, big age gaps eh?! How about yours?

sparkle789 · 09/11/2016 16:17

Purple mine girls are 9&3 (will be 10&4 when baby is here) slightly worried about the biggest age gap but I'm sure we will figure it out!

purplebella · 09/11/2016 17:36

Well I know my youngest won't be happy but she'd get used to it cos she loves babies, she just doesn't want us to have one! The eldest wouldn't care. As long as they have their own rooms mine will be fine!

OohNoDooEy · 09/11/2016 17:39

We're going to have a 5 year gap. Bit bigger than the average but there doesn't seem to be a good gap really - more down to the personality.

purplebella · 09/11/2016 17:46

I'm glad I'm not in the same boat as my friend, 4 dc, the eldest is 4!! Could you imagine?!?!Shock
