Any joiners?

This will be dc2. Edd of July 2nd.

Not one symptom yet. Going to enjoy that and hope it lasts!

Thanks crombanna, that has made me feel better about my lack of symptoms. I'll try not to worry. Now the initial excitement has worn off it's pretty easy to just think I imagined it and I'm actually not, but 3 tests confirmed I am. I think my biggest concern is that one of the test's leaflet said that sometimes if you're going through the menopause it can give you a false positive and as I have been trying for years it sort of seems more likely that it would be the menopause than a pregnancy now. But fingers crossed that I really am.

I'm going to wait until after my next period would be due iyswim before I ring the doctor and get the ball rolling with appointments etc. I'll be 8 weeks then. At the moment I'm 6+4. So not long to wait.

Mine will be a c section too.. had emg with dd and won't be going through that again lol

LuciBee231015 · 08/11/2016 11:41

Congrats ladies!!

Sunshine, let us know how it goes with the midwife. I've only had a 5 min convo on the phone to mine, not had a proper booking appointment or anything, but have a scan appointment?!

sparkle789 · 08/11/2016 11:55

Subshine I'm dreading telling my parents to they aren't the best with kids and I know they think we shouldn't have any more.
Also I'm terrified too! Every time I go to the loo I'm scared to check in case there is blood but I remember this from the other 2 so I know it'll pass.

The vomiting has started :( all I want to do is curl up on the sofa feeling sorry for myself but dd2 is home from pre school and very hyper so don't think I'm going to manage that!

Congratulations and welcome to the newbies!

Luci and Penny Yes I have seen the groupon ones for £39 but my nearest is about 36miles away which I don’t know whether it is worth going that far for one at about 8/9 wks. Might as well book one closer to us and pay a bit more. I would have liked the harmony test but I don’t think my budget can quite stretch that far though.

Seahawk Yes there is a risk with going in earlier, especially any time before 6 wks. Definitely book one for 9 wks. Anything to give you piece of mind then I would go for it. I thought I was 6 wks yesterday at the scan; you could actually just about see something; even the heart beat flashing at you. I read online that the heart then is a primitive 2 chambers only but there was something quite reassuring seeing all of it. It only measured 5+1 instead. I did wonder whether you can see a heartbeat at 5wks? But one thing that I didn’t appreciate was how long that reassurance lasts, not very long as it were; I’m back to wondering as to whether everything is ok with the little bean. When I wasn’t sure I also used the ic hpts to make sure of it. I also used my last digital test on Saturday and it showed 3+ which was slightly reassuring as the one a week before said 2-3wks so at least the hpt indicates rising hormones.

Sunshine Hope your midwife appointment goes well. Definitely give us an update on how it goes.

Damson, my fingers and toes are firmly crossed for you. How scared you must be, I really do hope everything is ok. 💐

Littlemisssugarplum88 · 08/11/2016 16:31

Added you :) xx

Seahawk80 · 08/11/2016 16:48

Damson my GP gave me some advice that would have been really good if she'd told me before my first visit to the epu. she said I t can be emotional there and just because other people get bad news it doesn't mean you will. Take a really good book, something lighthearted that you know will hold your attention and keep your nose in it until they call you.

I have everything crossed for you. Because of my epic spotting I have spent hours googling and people have all kinds of bleeding and it turns out to be fine. x

Penny85 · 08/11/2016 16:49

I hope everything is ok Damson. Has anyone else had any changed to their sleep patterns? I keep waking up around 3am too hot. Last night I had a nightmare and work up and had been crying in my sleep, this has never happened before!

Notyetthere · 08/11/2016 17:32

Damson Fingers crossed it is all ok with EPU tomorrow. It is scary but hopefully once checked over all will be ok.

rhodes2015 · 08/11/2016 17:38

Fingers crossed all is ok damson x

DamsonGinIsMyThing · 08/11/2016 17:51

Thanks ladies. You're all so lovely.
DP is coming home soon and will be with me tomorrow. My heads just a bit tumbled up. I've been having stretchy cramps since I got pregnant and they're still there now but not for love nor money can I tell if they're the same as before I found the blood. I'm just glad they can fit me in so quickly. I'm impressed with it really.
