Any joiners?

This will be dc2. Edd of July 2nd.

Not one symptom yet. Going to enjoy that and hope it lasts!

I think the hungover feeling is also caused by the raging thirst. Doctor said that is normal today. My latest symptom is just being cold - am sat at my desk with a heater!

LuciBee231015 · 04/11/2016 12:13

I coughed a few times earlier and got pains low down... I'm sure it's fine there is a lot going on in there...

I'm 6 weeks tomorrow. Still waiting for a letter from midwife with my appointment details etc. I think if I don't get my 12 week scan in before Xmas I will book a private one.

I'm feeling ok today actually. Just sore boobs and that's it.

OohNoDooEy · 04/11/2016 12:47

So baby centre says that we will have our scan between 11 weeks and 13+6 which is December 11-31 for me. I REALLY hope that it is before Christmas so I can tell people! It will be so obvious making excuses.

I feel rotten today but cramping has gone. This thread is helping me by reminding me that its all normal.

MrsBobDylan · 04/11/2016 15:26

I have experienced the pain when coughing or sneezing - I've always found it comes and goes through out the nine months. It can be eye-wateringly painful sometimes!

My colleague got me to smell her Nero coffee which had cinnamon in it which repulses me anyway. I nearly showed her the contents of my lunch, right in her cup!!

fluffandsnuff · 04/11/2016 15:57

Ive been craving sausage sandwiches for breakfast. Have definitely got fatter in the last week just from that- but it has to be chippolatas with red sauce, nothing else will do! 😂

LuciBee231015 · 04/11/2016 16:09

Fluff 😂😂😂

I haven't had any cravings yet. The thought of yours makes me want to gag tho 😂

Kitsandkids · 04/11/2016 18:58

Yes to feeling cold! Yesterday I was shivering so violently I was worried the shaking might do some damage! I am currently fully dressed, with a dressing gown on, lying on the sofa under a blanket.

Seahawk80 · 04/11/2016 19:23

Does anyone still have spotting? It's getting me down a bit. Doctor said it should be ok but I'm finding it hard to relax and get excited. Ten days until my second scan, feels like forever. And I used to think the TWW was hard!

Ihavenousername · 04/11/2016 20:23

I've been feeling rather cold today, but getting too hot when I put a cardi on, I assumed I may be coming down with something but hopefully not.

Also, I'm glad to see there are a couple of others expecting dc4, I'm not sure why I wasn't expecting that Smile

thumbsupforthesixbillion · 04/11/2016 21:38

I've had a thoroughly awful day, arguing with DH and really bad planning means I've just eaten my first proper meal of the day and settled down. We cannot have another day like this! I need a rethink on our approach to food so we aren't struggling along til 9 o clock like we usually do. Hopefully eating better will improve my energy levels too. Any suggestions on how to do this would be much appreciated!

fluffandsnuff · 05/11/2016 06:42

Thats a tough one. Don't beat yourself up. But supplies in the handbag just in case you start feeling rubbish? (bananas are working for me right now).

LuciBee231015 · 05/11/2016 10:21

I had my letter through today, scan booked for 15th December and blood test 18th November.now I'm glad I have something to look forward to

crombanna · 05/11/2016 10:55

thumbsup forgive me if this sounds super basic but I find doing a whole load of cooking, then freezing it, frees up time in the evening and makes me more likely to eat well. Soups, stews etc. Spending a few moments to meal plan is good. Men seem to be allergic to this unfortunately. I try and make things which last 2 meals because I can't generally be arsed to think of 5 new things a week.

'nana in the bag works well, too!

No symptoms at the mo, just yawning a lot and sore boobs. Notthere cheers for the list - it's my first btw

Bloopbleep · 05/11/2016 12:32

I too get the chills then through the night I get sweats.

My eating hasn't been great as everything makes me feel sick, although I did have some slices of a dominos pizza and loved it. I usually hate dominos. Certainly not a craving. I never had any cravings with my first.

Penny85 · 05/11/2016 12:35

Can I join please? Got my bfp on Wednesday and have worked out that my DD will be 12/07/16. This will be our first baby, got the ball rolling yesterday at the drs and booked my flu jab and have been referred to a midwife. It has been a good week as I have been off work so have been able to enjoy the time by myself and do lots of research- am feeling strangely calm as I can be quite an anxious person. I have only told my hubby & best friend (who I work with) but don't really want anyone else at work knowing yet but I am wary that I might have to tell soon when I get my booking appointment- but that should be a month away. Not many symptoms yet apart from sore boobs ( hurt half the time anyway so I am used to this) and insane hunger ( again, I am quite a hungry person anyway!) Nice to meet you all!

LuciBee231015 · 05/11/2016 14:00

Congrats penny, and welcome! 😊

I want to book a flu jab too, but I don't know whether to or not. Did your doctor recommend it? I suppose why not really?

Penny85 · 05/11/2016 15:05

Thanks LuciBee :) The receptionist actually told me i could drop in in the morning for it- I haven't even seen a Dr. I am sure if you called your Drs they will be able to fit you in, I had to que up in a line of pensioners hehe might have been obvious why I was there.

LuciBee231015 · 05/11/2016 18:57

I called my local boots and I'm going to go down on Thursday morning and get it done.

I'm 6 weeks today and feeling very tired and hungover...

FiFiP89 · 05/11/2016 19:49

Found out on Thursday with a positive test although I had a weird feeling about if for the 10 days prior to that. Bit of a shock as wasn't something that we had planned. What are peoples thoughts on when you share the news with families? I saw the doctor on Thursday who wanted to remind me of how early days it is - It feels like a very confusing time as your body is changing but I'm too nervous to get too excited about it yet. I have been amazed at the symptoms that I have already - sore boobies, dull cramping, heightened sense of smell and since yesterday an appetite to challenge a professional pie eater

MrsBobDylan · 05/11/2016 20:32

Hi and congrats Penny and Fifi!

I'm planning to hang on until the 12 week scan before telling my family - in previous pregnancies I told them very early but this time, for various reasons, I've decided to wait a bit.

I'd forgotten how cross pregnancy can make me feel. My dh said yesterday how much more fiery I am when pregnant - I am usually so laid back and easy going! Luckily, he is also pretty relaxed so he's rolling with all the changes and not getting irritated with me.

wildone81 · 05/11/2016 20:59

We've told family (parents and siblings) but only because I look like death het up and they where asking why! Also because we they'll be the ones to support us if anything goes wrong. Anyone else got a horrible taste in their mouth? Nothing gets rids of it other than eating.....

Notyetthere · 05/11/2016 22:52

Wildone same here. I have a horrible taste in my mouth too. I have just had fried chorizo/potato/onion/peppers and I still have the horrible taste. But the other thing is that I am constantly thinking about food but really not having a particular craving for anything. Nausea is coming in small waves too.

BakerJ · 06/11/2016 10:12

Hi everyone, can I join you?
Found out a couple of days ago that I'm pregnant with our first baby. DD will be 12/07/17.
I'm only 4+4 so not feeling many symptoms yet, just a bit tired, and thirsty all the time!

How quickly did you all contact your GP? I was planning on waiting until around 6 weeks but it sounds like most of you called quite quickly?
X

LuciBee231015 · 06/11/2016 10:23

Congrats Baker!
I went to the GP about 6 days after getting my bfp. Had a phone call with a midwife about a week after that, and got letters through the post yesterday for 8 week blood tests in 2 weeks time and a scan booking for mid December.

O don't think it really matters if you do it straight away or not. But by me doing so it gave me the chance to ask a few questions to confirm that the vitamins I was taking were correct, ask about what happens next etc etc. just a bit of reassurance I suppose.

Popularcontrarian · 06/11/2016 11:57

Hello everyone, I'd also like to hop on this July thread. Got my bfp this morning putting my due date at 17th July.

Excited but apprehensive as I had a miscarriage in September. Haven't even had a period since!

Will have two under two, eeek!
