Congrats and welcome ihavenousername, sunshineyes and damsongin!

I treated myself to a look at prams in John Lewis today and it was fun!Am bonkers since I know I'll end up buying the same one I got 5 years ago which is worn out, especially since it's the only one dh can fold down. He's never forgiven me for the second hand bugaboo I bought which he had to fit, still up, in the boot of our car on a solo journey out with the kids. He said he felt ridiculous Grin

wildone81 · 02/11/2016 21:25

Can I join please? BFP tonight and looks like I'm due 9th July. Lots of odd things going on that could/couldn't be symptoms....will just have to sit tight for a 12 week scan around Christmas 😀

Dottyb21 · 03/11/2016 14:37

Hey Ladies ... I too got my BFP on Monday 31st ... came off the pill back in early September and assumed it would take me a while having had a few negative tests leading up it. Unsure of my exact dates too with not having had a proper AF, Clearblue digital said 1-2 weeks yesterday - so I called the drs and they have transferred me to the local hospital (they said I would be around 5 weeks) - I have my booking appointment next friday (11th) which I think is slightly sooner than normal just to them being full the week after and the week after that I am away. Completely worrying about it all ... everything is planned and my husband is super excited but I have always been a worrier ... right now I am worrying about everything!!! Does anyone else feel like this? I think I will be better after next friday and hopefully knowing that I am ok and tests are all ok. Good luck to you all xxx

rhodes2015 · 03/11/2016 15:06

Hi dotty, congratulations!!! I came off pill mid august and same here thought it would take a while. AF was 8 days late by the time I got my bfp last Thursday(clearblue digital said 1-2wks) but I'm unsure too but think il be 5wks (ish) like you!
Me too I'm a worrier but worrying so much it's waking me up in the night! I'm obsessing if I feel the tiniest cramp Blush!
That's great you have your appointment next Friday! Let us know how you get on! Mines the 23rd.

Dottyb21 · 03/11/2016 15:12

Thanks Rhodes ... yeah it is all feeling very strange ... today's the first day I have really felt anxious about it all day ... like you I wake up in the night with a panic ... but usually I can take my mind of it in the "normal" working day. Husband is so excited and he keeps asking if I am, but right now all I feel is worry. Hopefully after next friday I can relax a bit more ... good to read I am not the only one :) xxx

Seahawk80 · 03/11/2016 15:48

Hi Everyone and welcome to everyone new.

Dotty I'm a real worrier too, gonna be a long 9 months! I went for an early scan due to spotting and cramps and it really helped to reassure me so I'm sure you will feel better after your appt.

Has anyone else found that if they get cold their nipples are agony? It's so painful!

crombanna · 03/11/2016 15:58

Hi everyone....I'm joining. Very cautiously!

So I got my BFP on the 29th but according to all the apps etc im 4 weeks today. So EDD 13/07. I think I ovulated really early, but that said I was testing really early nonetheless!

I'm very much a "the worst will happen" kind of person and for that reason I have been taking tests everyday. Today my period is officially late and no sign of it, and a strong line on a test so I'm going to consider myself properly pregnant.

I'm a midwife which is a blessing and a curse. Feel like I know too much sometimes. But I'm really really happy and just keep pinching myself.

If all well at 6 weeks I will get in touch with the GP.

Looking forward to getting to know you all!

OohNoDooEy · 03/11/2016 16:19

I'm having a lot of lower tummy pain, getting paranoid about everything. Hopefully it will ease tonight.

Glitterbandit · 03/11/2016 17:20

Hi to all the newbies. I'm starting to worry as I've been feeling queasy on and off over the past day and I'm a bridesmaid next Friday for my best friend's wedding. I'm hoping it hasn't escalated by then. I don't remember feeling queasy this early on last time. My EDD is 12th July by the way, realised I hadn't said before - duh!

Glitterbandit · 03/11/2016 17:22

Crombanna, you're going to get asked SO many questions now we know you're a midwife Wink

Ciderandskatesdontmix · 03/11/2016 18:42

I'm also finding myself strangely anxious this time around. I don't remember feeling like this with my last pregnancies. This is my first with dp and I know he and his ex experienced a couple of miscarriages, so that seems to have brought it to the front of my mind, despite never having miscarried myself Confused
Does anybody else get super grumpy at this time of day?! All I want is to get the kids to bed so I can slob on the sofa!!

thumbsupforthesixbillion · 03/11/2016 19:01

Hi all and welcome new joiners! I had my flu jab yesterday and I'm feeling like absolute crap today (probably unrelated!). I can barely keep my eyes open and getting lots of off feelings, mild sickness and cramps and I can't believe how much my boobs hurt already! One of my friends/colleagues has guessed already so doing well there!

LuciBee231015 · 03/11/2016 20:20

I think I want a flu jab too... Do you have to wait until you've seen the midwife or anything? As I could be anyone walking in saying I'm pregnant and want a free jab?!

thumbsupforthesixbillion · 03/11/2016 20:28

I called my doctor but they could only offer midweek daytime appointments so I went to boots. I just told them I was pregnant and they didn't really question it, although I brought my midwife referral form just in case.

crombanna · 03/11/2016 20:36

Oops - shouldn't have let the cat out the bag!

OhNo I've had a fair bit of cramping but it doesn't feel like period cramping. More twangy. And in different places. I don't get too worried about that. I mean there's a lot going on, ya know? Also I do a quick Google of threads on mumsnet about cramping and bfps, and then I realise how normal it is...

Notyetthere · 03/11/2016 21:24

Hi All, I haven't checked in properly today as I have felt rubbish today. I can't even put a finger on what it was, just generally feeling rubbish. I thought I was coming down with a cold and I left the office at lunch time (it is very frown upon in our office to hang around spreading contagious diseases). I arrived home and all manner of sniffles disappeared. It feels like I made up the cold.

Congratulations and welcome to all the newbies! I will update the list tomorrow.

The other thing that I have noticed today, I sneezed and it hurt below. Does anybody else have the same thing? It is making me very nervous.

Seahawk80 · 03/11/2016 21:52

I had that not -I think it's maybe all just a bit sensitive down there.

I feel pretty crap, have awful mouth ulcers. I'd normally only ever get them if I have a heavy weekend so it feels very unfair to have them after a week of not drinking and being healthy!

Kitsandkids · 03/11/2016 22:28

It might just be wishful thinking (the only time in my life I'll wish it) but my jeans have felt tighter the last couple of days. Not so much my waist, but further down. I've also got some big spots across my upper back. I'm 6 weeks tomorrow.

DamsonGinIsMyThing · 04/11/2016 06:49

Well I've spent my night shift in an exciting mix of constant nausea, occasional vomiting and constipation. Exciting times.
I'm stressing myself out worrying about before I found out I was pregnant, drinking, smoking, working nights, drinking energy drinks. So we've decided to get a reassurance scan to calm my nerves.

wildone81 · 04/11/2016 08:19

Well I'm feeling hungover, and although I was out last night, I was on the sparkling water.... not impressed!

MrsBobDylan · 04/11/2016 09:27

wildone I've always thought pregnancy is the closest feeling to having a hangover without the alcohol. Ooh, a nine month hangover!

wildone81 · 04/11/2016 09:50

yep Confused!!! hungry, but sight or smell of food making me feel very green indeed! this baby is going to be made of white carbs at this rate...

Seahawk The pain when I sneeze has now subsided but it was a concern yesterday as I felt like it was coming out down below. Hope you mouth ulcers bugger off soon.

Kits It probably isn’t wishful thinking. I don’t think I have put any weight on yet. Must be the lack of all that wine that I would have been consuming.

Damson I have a scan booked on Monday when I will be 6 wks. How far along do you intend to have your scan done?

Wild Y Y to a feeling of hangover. Exactly how I would have explained it.
MrsBob Like you, I also like to indulge in looking at the baby related items.

wildone81 · 04/11/2016 11:11

couple of people in the office eating fried egg rolls... trying very hard not to retch at my desk!

Dottyb21 · 04/11/2016 11:27

Up to now I have been lucky not had any nausea - may be it will appear at some point - just really bad cramps this morning - eased off now ... hoping to head out for a jog at lunch time ... always ran and been told there is no reason for me to stop as long as I am not being stupid and pushing my self too much. Keeps my sane too :) xxx Hope everyone else is ok today xxx
