Evening all, sorry i'be been AWOL for weeks ... have felt like shite for the last few weeks, just been trying to get through the days. Scan next Friday, praying all is ok. Sorry to hear your news anne Flowers. I've kind of been surrounded in bad news these last few months, hoping that our news will be good and it's able to bring a bit of joy to my family and friends.
Have been feeling tons better these last couple of days, food tastes nice again and I'm not in bed at 7.30 which is a record.
How is everyone? Fox you were in the depths of sickness last time I checked in how are you now?

beachsands · 05/11/2016 20:33

Evening all. Sorry for your loss Anne.
While I'm feeling much better overall I've a lot of lower back pain. I don't recall this on my other pregnancies and it's so early on in the pregnancy. It's bothering me as I feel anxious enough about the scan on Wednesday. Anyone else have this?

Rabbitykins55 · 06/11/2016 08:27

Beach I'm also experiencing a lot of lower back pain, to the point it hurts to walk sometimes. I think it's just the bit of extra weight and stuff moving round.

Anne so sorry for your loss.

growcookeat · 06/11/2016 09:57

Beach I had lots of lower back and pelvic pain early on but seems to have eased off mostly now I'm at 14 weeks. I found not sitting for long periods helped and resorted to paracetamol on a few occasions. Hope its better soon.

KJW is there any way you could wait? We were meeting up with friends for a 30th birthday the day after our scan, they were all coming from far and wide. We told them the day before and didn't speak much about it on the day as we didn't want to take attention. Some mutual friends announced their news 10 minutes after us (she was 9 weeks along) and it definitely took away from ours. I think they realised though as the husband apologised to my DH the next day!

growcookeat · 06/11/2016 11:15

Meant to say, we had to tell them the day before as it was an all day drinking event n couldn't hide me knocking back the juice! Otherwise we would have waited!

Flingmoo · 06/11/2016 11:31

I'm 11 weeks and no lower back pain unless I over exert myself with hoovering the house etc (which I did just now...)

Still nauseous although a lot better than I was 2 weeks ago. I realised the whole of October this was basically a write-off for me, I spent all month wallowing in general crappiness and failing to be a good mum, wife, and employee. I'm glad it's slowly fading away now. Only 1 week and a day until my scan!

Nelly, Beach we're scan buddies, mine on Wednesday too. Was excited last week, more nervous this week. Thankfully it's at 10 am for me so not long to wait on the day Confused

1004Rise · 06/11/2016 12:07

Oops posted too soon....

Re back pain I've spent most of the past few of days feeling like I've done 300 sit ups to start the day, I just feel all stretched Confused(for want of a better description) I've been trying to stand up when on conference calls rather than just sitting at my laptop which has helped a bit. I think I'm missing my yoga... I'm looking forward to when I can manage getting up more than half an hour before I'm supposed to start work to doing some again!

Brightsmoke · 06/11/2016 12:26

So sorry to leave your news Anne, look after yourself and I wish you th best of luck in the future TTC.

I've also been suffering back pain and pelvic pain. I've been lathering stretch mark cream on, but my boobs are already marking :(

Flingmoo · 06/11/2016 16:01

Brightsmoke My Bio Oil only arrived from Amazon today, I should have ordered it sooner really as my boobs have already been growing.

Last pregnancy I slathered Bio Oil on my bump religiously from the first trimester, but never put any on my boobs. I literally don't have a single stretch mark on my belly despite being a petite woman who grew a massive bump, meanwhile my boobs are absolutely awful and covered in stretchmarks. They look better now they've faded but at first they were deep red and I looked like I'd be clawed by a vicious animal!

This time round I will basically be coating my entire body in Bio Oil twice a day from now on. Grin

MrsJW15 · 06/11/2016 16:42

Mamushka I'm covering myself in E45 and hoping it does the trick!

I'm pretty exhausted this weekend. Had a bit of a meltdown in John Lewis yesterday and hubby had to take me to the cafe for some cake! I've finally got some maternity leggings but still struggling wardrobe wise.

ImYourWomanJonSnow · 06/11/2016 17:59

I have been using mothers balm from neils yard in my first pregnancy and haven't got a single stretch mark.

lullaby23 · 06/11/2016 18:21

Anne what sad news, so sorry to hear that. Hope the clinic can support you and wishing you all the best for a healthy future pregnancy.

I'm back home for a friend's wedding this weekend, I quietly mentioned my pregnancy to a couple of friends including the bride who is one of my oldest mate. As I live 6000 miles away I don't get to see them much. But yeah I wouldn't have made a big announcement!

Anyone else getting scanned on Friday? Can't wait but also so nervous.

Adventuregame · 06/11/2016 19:38

So I know some of you were waiting for my Seraphine jeans review ! Well, they are a great colour and quality and very comfy but I need to be a bit bigger before I can wear them properly !! They are just a bit wide under the bump band but I think I'll fill them eventually !

Badgerbird · 06/11/2016 20:05

Ooh blimey think I've been a bit silly by not thinking about stretch marks yet! I better get slathering especially as I already have them from being overweight as a child :( jonsnow I'm gonna try out the Neil's yard one as I love their products.

Thinking coconut oil would be pretty good too, had anyone used it for stretch marks? I use it for just about everything else!

mrsjw glad your hubby came to the rescue with cake!! I'm struggling wardrobewise too as I'm just chubby at the mo not pregnant looking!! Generally sticking to my primark jeggings and baggy tops I got in bigger size.

EsmesBees · 06/11/2016 20:39

Bio oil is excellent. Slathered it on last time, and no stretch marks.

I'm being scanned on Thursday lullaby. Also a mix of anticipation and fear.

Adventuregame · 06/11/2016 21:04

Gosh hadn't even thought about Bio oil etc !!!

RasperryInAMelon · 06/11/2016 21:10

I've been using BioOil in the mornings and DH has been kind enough to slather me in Cocoa Butter in the evenings which has been lovely and relaxing Smile

Glitterbaby17 · 06/11/2016 21:57

Hi everyone I'm new so hope you don't mind me joining in. I'm expecting my first on 22nd May and have my 12 week scan on Friday. Looking forward to getting to know all you Mummies to be ❤️

MissMooMoo · 06/11/2016 22:52

I've read (and midwife confirmed) that stretch marks are mostly due to genetics. My mother has had 4 kids and NO stretchmarks (3 born at 42 weeks) and my sister is currently 27 weeks with none so I am hopeful I don't get any! I am putting cream on anyways every evening.

Welcome glitter hoping scan goes well on Friday.

RasperryInAMelon · 07/11/2016 03:30

Anyone else suffering with cramping? I've noticed some mild discomfort in my sides and back as well as cramping along my knicker line over the weekend. Particularly noticeable when I pee... I know now our bodies are working overtime with growth and stretching... just checking is this normal? I don't seem overly constipated but have a lot of wind Blush which I guess could be a contributing factor?... Might text the MW in the morning just for reassurance...damn scan isn't until next Tues...

First PG and keep having vivid dreams of MMC so scaring the bajeezus out of myself I think...

Brightsmoke · 07/11/2016 06:21

Only I could book my 16 week appointment when I'm not in the country! I'm looking forward to the holiday, but shows where my mind and priorities are currently lol.

I've been using some lovely cocoa butter stretch mark cream, but DH won't put it on me because of the smell, useless bugger lol. So think I might get some bio oil, then he has no excuse 😂

Hello Glitter, best of luck for Friday, and to everyone else having scans this week.

WishIWasSleeping · 07/11/2016 06:57

If you're still on the catch up Anne, just wanted to say I'm sorry to hear your news.

I have my scan this afternoon. The wait has been driving me crazy. Will finally find out if there's a real baby in there! Shock and how far along we actually are. I'll feel amused and probably horrified if we're not 13wks!
My mum is convinced because I've been actually Envy twice this time (only once last pregnancy) that obviously means twins.. Grin hubby is not amused at her jokes!!

A little disappointed at the jeans review! My search continues!

Hope you all have a lovely Monday. BrewCake

FoxMulder · 07/11/2016 08:53

Hey peas glad to hear you're feeling a bit better. I think I'm on the up now too. Feeling queasy but functioning for the most part. Although I did puke twice yesterday which felt like a step back!
