LOL

EllieKwithabigbump · 05/02/2007 21:38

sorry, that sounded really awful
didn't mean it to x
you'll get to learn all these wonderful characters soon enough, we've progressed through the Bob the Builder phase but are still stuck on Thomas. don't mind too much tho, he loves Raggy Dolls too, perfect excuse to track down cartoons from my childhood

oops - yep - i have heard of him!

i have packed my hospital bag! cartons of juice, galloons of witch hazel, arnica ahoy, rescue remedy, TENS machine ( & spare batteries), cartons fruit juice and yummy lip balm to mention but a few itmes. ask yvie - she knows that my lists were like.

just still to turn the study into a nursery and get my work finished off so i can get off on maternity!

EllieKwithabigbump · 05/02/2007 21:47

hello

just popping in before bed.

WO! Can't believe you have your bag packed! Now i really am beginning to think i'm being a bit slack with everything!

Ellie ! makes me tired just thinking about what you got up to! Glad things are looking brighter

night SOL hope you get some sleep.

I've only just finished work! Guy i work with was late and we were meant to start at 3pm, but didn't start until 5pm! Hanging round some very spooky graveyards in the dark tonight was enough to make me go into prem labour! We startled a bird at one point and it really made us jump. And it was freezing! Had a good chat with some kids though, so wasn't all in vain!

EllieKwithabigbump · 05/02/2007 21:52

don't worry eca, bag packing is something i do as I go out the door to the hospital
of course, that might be why i ended up with 4 bags last time

And he's not even pregnant ellie!

Just seen on kia car website that if you have quinns you get a free car! £500 discount for one - not so great!

Right battery about to die in laptop, so off to bed!
xx

weeonion · 05/02/2007 21:58

nope ellie- what is on?

EllieKwithabigbump · 05/02/2007 22:02

was a very disturbing prog, about young carers. one of the families had both parents blind, the eldest daughter was 12 and looking after the others (with the help of the next eldest). they had 6 children but were hoping to keep going til they had 8.

weeonion · 05/02/2007 22:02

ellie - u must have tired him out ove the weekend!!
eca - i only really wanted to get the bag ready - mainly as a reason to not to have to do any work on reports!

EllieKwithabigbump · 05/02/2007 22:03

the disturbing bit was that the girls were doing everything, the children were falling asleep on the stairs, and when the older 3 were at school the younger 3 stayed home with the parents, who did NOTHING. their nappies weren't changed until the girls got back from school to do it.

OP posts:
EllieKwithabigbump · 05/02/2007 22:05

they refused help from social services, saying that the girls would lose their place on young carers days if they didn't help at home. AND?

OP posts:
weeonion · 05/02/2007 22:05

oh i read about that prog. they were refusing outside support and help? how did it end?

EllieKwithabigbump · 05/02/2007 22:06

wasn't just me that was horrified thread here

OP posts:
EllieKwithabigbump · 05/02/2007 22:08

apart from the younger girl trying to commit suicide and the 12 yr old saying she never wanted her own children?
they now have a family support worker and a bigger house.

EllieKwithabigbump · 05/02/2007 22:17

on a lighter note..........
take a look at the weeman

OP posts:
weeonion · 05/02/2007 22:21

lol lol - love the weeman. i wonder if there is a full size version - my big man seems to have trouble at times.

have u ever seen a female urinal?

EllieKwithabigbump · 05/02/2007 22:25

i've seen the travel ones, very odd!

OP posts:
weeonion · 05/02/2007 22:30

i do the commute from glasgow to edinburgh each day on the M8. there is only 1 service stop. when i am on the bus - you can spot all the bottles of pee thrown out of car windows onto central researvation.

i think that must be drivers. passengers couldnt reach to throw over there. i think that must be men. i dont believe women would find it as easy. there are cars full of men driving squeezing their willies into coke bottles, peeing whilst hurtling along at 70 mph. i am not reassured!

apparently there has to be a major wee bottle bottle gather up every 3 months to get rid.
yukkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk

EllieKwithabigbump · 05/02/2007 22:37

that is yuk!
but then i have a boy, we stop in the middle of the football pitch for a wee if he needs it

OP posts:
weeonion · 05/02/2007 22:42

i know - i am well used to men/ boys having the luxury of peeing wherever but somehow in a moving vehicle - i find more disturbing..

runnyhabbit · 05/02/2007 22:44

my mum has just text me, and says that after comparing ds scan pics and this lo scan pics, she has come to the conclusion that this one is a girl If she's right, it means that I'll have the perfect excuse to go shopping after its born

didn't see the ch4 prgramme, but had a flick through the thread, and am v glad I didn't. I find it hard enough watching programmes on couples trying to concieve

runnyhabbit · 05/02/2007 22:48

lol at the weeman

we are quite open in this house, and the toilet door is pretty much always open iykwim. But dh has started to wee sitting down, because ds was finding it amusing to put his hand in the middle of his daddys stream when dh was standing up

EllieKwithabigbump · 05/02/2007 22:49

shopping -
sadly i am still struggling to look forward to this one arriving so am not finding enthusiasm for shopping.
