Hi, thought I would start a new thread as the other one was full.

Congratulations women. How fast that was. Hope your both ok.

She is doing well with feeding, she was fed with expressed breastmilk in hospital, but took straight to breast when she same home at 4 and half week so is now exclusive. She feeds a hell of alot at night time, so isnt currently sleeping great haha but she's well worth it. Jabs done... Absolutely awful the needles looked way to big for her teeny legs :(

Congratulations woman glad you're back home.

Well my day didn't go to plan, no phone call to go in so I called at 12 and I wasn't even on the list! Not that it mattered as she slotted me where I should have been and there were still 12 ladies ahead of me! Nightmare. Have to wait til 12 tomo then call for update but hardly looks likely does it! She said there was still ladies that were due to be induced on saturday waiting. Waaa!

Penguin - good luck tomorrow with the induction, I hope you're not left waiting too much longer.

I'm 40+5 with my second pregnancy and temporary midwife (normal one retired last week) has said I can have a sweep at 41 weeks. Had a few strong Braxton hicks over the weekend with mild period cramps but all quietened down now. Boo!

Anyone had a successful sweep before?

I had one yesterday (post was already long enough so didn't want to mention!) mw asked about movements when I called to find out about induction. I said she'd been quiet so she asked me to go in and get checked and they'd do a sweep whilst I was there.

Not gonna lie it bloody hurt, I've Googled since and it seems it depends who does it, and it's hit and miss regarding pain. Nothing seems to have happened though for me. Again Googled about effectiveness of sweep and that seems to be 50/50 too!

Keep reading that same bloody line "baby will come when baby is ready"...Oh do one

Must admit not looking forward to a sweep but this stage plus the heat is a real killer.

Waaaah I just wrote out a long post and lost it. Damn phone. Still not gone in. Still grumpy!

How is everyone else getting on?

Oh gosh penguin how frustrating! Are they still really busy? fingers crossed today is the day.

Well, I had to go in again yday for a scan due to 2 reduced movements (even more annoying having to go there and leave again!)and they said they said I'd be going in last night, but never got a phone call. Plus side though baby was just lazy both times as all ok with blood flows etc.

I don't mind about being overdue, just tell me a week from Thursday and stick to it! - I swear I'm not normally this moany

I had a s&s this morning, not as bad an experience as I imagined. 1cm dilated and 50% effaced so hoping she'll kick start something soon before I have to go in and speak about an induction on Tuesday too. Wish I was told peeing after would feel like it did first time after labour!

As much as I'm enjoying this pregnancy it is no fun in this heat a week overdue!

Oh bless u, sucks doesn't it, I keep hearing talk about storms to clear it but nothing yet!

I called today and she said I was second in line..but also said it wouldn't be today, most likely tomo..

I had a show this morning, so never know I might go on my own!
.no pains though so I doubt it.

I had a stretch and sweep too this morning with consultant. Currently 39+5. She said I was about 1.5 and had a good root around!! Said it was quite favourable but not brilliant. Bled a bit after. Booked for induction starting next Thursday if nothing happens by itself before then. Have been bouncing on gym ball!
Any news penguin?

X post. Show is hopeful! I don't know if my bleeding was a show or just stuff from the sweep. Feeling v clueless! Also dh is in bed with a hangover. Not best pleased with him!

Hey everyone! Just popping by to wish you all waiting for babies the best of luck and I hope it all happens sooner rather than later for you all and those of us lucky enough to have our babies already I hope your getting more sleep than me! Exhausted doesn't cut it, I'm like a walking zombie. Does anybody know if a post-natal thread has been started for us?

Crepe I was very pink after my sweep, but not red. Was quite weird to see something on a tissue after so long of nothing!

How are you woman? I've not had a look at the post natal board yet but surely there is, Sept is a busy busy month!

So what no Dc is this for everyone? I have an almost 7yr old ds who is super excited about getting a sister, well he was until this week and now he's just miffed he's missed out on sleepovers where I haven't gone in yet!!

Been feeling ridiculously tired after my sweep, plus everytime I stand up its mega painful where baby's head is. Nothing significant seems to have happened during the day so a second sweep Saturday morning it is.

Crepe I hope yours starts before your indication date next week. My induction is booked for Tuesday so really hoping for baby to arrive before then!

Bet we all can't wait to post on that one!! So I'm still waiting to be called, I'm next in line tho, as if that means anything!

Still losing bits of plug, and realised how useless dh is going to be during labour as I couldn't even get him to look at it!

I've also lost some plug today trying not to get excited about it though! My mum's taken my DC for the night but won't be going out or anything, really can't be bothered!
I've asked dh not to drink till baby's here after his hangover day yesterday. Wasn't impressed.

I'm the same as both of you today, been losing bits of my plug through the day.

2nd sweep in the morning and not looking forward to it - still feeling sore after the first one!

I've gone sad! I'm so upset I've not been called in its such a joke, I just want to meet her it's so unfair nothing goes to plan. My life has been such a mess for last 6 weeks I just want her here to draw a line under it all. (mice, leak,new bathroom floor, broken oven,now this!) whens my break eh?!

Sorry to rant for you all!

AND I was sick up until 36 weeks!!!! I hope she's not as much trouble when she's here
