Cookies what a cute picture, very jealous of all you ladies who have your babies already.

Mum I'm desperate to not be pregnant anymore and can't wait to meet our baby but scared of the unknown of labour and also the lack of control I will have over the early days with no routine.

Beaut how are you feeling this morning?

Anna you're being so strong it's inspirational and makes me ashamed at my minor annoyances with family etc. Sounds like you had a productive day, hope midwife and visiting your mum goes well today.

Dats everything sounds like it's coming on well with the house, it must be a relief.

Elliz what a lovely picture, so glad everything went well and I hope they're taking good care of you in hospital.

Foobio fingers crossed your sweep will do the trick.

I'm feeling pretty crap, I'm on iron tablets for anaemia and they've been giving me terrible diarrhoea the past 2 days which in turn sets off Braxton hicks. Been feeling drained so haven't got much done around the house. Only had about 3 hours sleep last night, gave up and got up at 6 going to get lots done around the house then bath and back to bed to see if I will sleep then.

36+5 blah Wink

Cookies, that's one cute baby!

Today is the first day of my maternity leave (I've been on annual leave since 14 June) and I'm two weeks from my due date. Off to the midwife this morning and hopefully she has good news and this baby has finally engaged. Although judging from this heartburn, he's not dropped much at all...

38 weeks today!

KayTee87 · 07/07/2016 07:52

pulpi sorry to hear your news Sad
My wee one wasn't engaged last week and I've not noticed a difference since then, I suspect on Wednesday at my next appointment I will be told he's still not engaged. Fingers crossed for you today!

KayTee87 · 07/07/2016 07:54

37+5 * putting myself back a week Shock

Ellizardo · 07/07/2016 08:21

Morning all!
Managed to snag a private room like Jem which has made all the difference. LO has fed well and we've all managed to catch a couple of hours kip here and there. Here she is with Miffy - Grandma's gift - chillaxing in her cot.

Anna - hope your Ma ok and that having a day away has done wonders. ELCS vs. EMCS was very different experience- staff more relaxed, the spinal a breeze and even had a theatre with windows overlooking trees which was nice. I felt a lot of the surgery tho. Not excruciating pain per se but pressure and discomfort for the 20-30 mins or so. Certainly wanted it to be over. And The drugs they give you to contract the uterus mean I was in quite a bit of pain after despite the morphine.

Feeling much better today and managed to walk to bathroom and wash my face. Catheter is out and can 'see' normality in near future now though there's no way Ted is getting picked up by me for a while yet which makes me sad. I can't pick her up yet but figure I will later today or tmw.

How is everyone this morning?! Thinking of you all and wishing you well. The end result makes it all worth it! And Kaytee, they've just given me a lax to get my bowels working again so am dreading the loo dash!

Congratulations Elliz!!! What a gorgeous baby. Looks so contented snuggled on you like that. And it's lovely to see your happy face too SmileFlowers

Jem01 · 07/07/2016 08:30

Primary congratulations! Such a sweet photo!

Cookies - congrats to you too! George is so sweet loved the photo you posted on Facebook his outfit was so cute!

Elliz huge congrats, what an adorable little girl! And how beautiful do you look too?! Hope you are ok and resting up. So glad you got a private room too! Can't wait to find out the name :-)

Now that I'm breastfeeding and topping up with formula, Jacob has put on lots more weight so feeling v happy about that!

How is it everyone else feeling?

mascaraisamust · 07/07/2016 08:40

Dropping in to say a big congrats to primary, cookies and Eliz! I'm being induced on Tuesday, really nervous! Need to get everything in place this weekend now!

HopesAndDreams15 · 07/07/2016 09:00

Congratulations Primary, Cookies and Elliz! I'm loving seeing all the new arrival announcements flooding in!

Good luck for Tuesday mascara and to all the other mummies in waiting!

Keep those babies coming ladies!!

Harry had to have a short stay in hospital at the weekend with jaundice, my hormones were going wild so found the whole experience very upsetting but home now and jaundice levels are under control thankfully. Can't believe he's a week old already!

Rubytuesday2980 · 07/07/2016 09:30

Morning All,

Congratulations Eliz, she's a cutie and good to hear you have a private room, must make a big difference.

Lovely picture Cookies Smile

Hopes boo for the hospital trip, but yay to bring back home again

Kaytee I get the anxiety about the first few weeks, have real mixed emotions about looking forward to meeting bubba and uncertainty about what life is going to be like. Trying to be calm and patient, but feel like am just sitting around waiting for this massive change to happen.

pupli hope the midwife has good news, wouldn't if be great if our bodies could tell us what was going on without having to wait for appointments?!

After spending yesterday indoors, have had to get up and out this morning. Not missing work, but definitely missing some sort of routine to my life.

39+4 and a bit miserable today :(

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 07/07/2016 10:10

Cheery I get the same a foot on my right side it pokes out so much you can see exactly what it is.

Cookies that is such an adorable pic.
I hope things happen soon. It's not even so much my impatience it's the fact I'm so uncomfortable now.

Kaytee sorry you are feeling rubbish. I hope you manage to get a sleep in today. I often find I sleep better in the day than at night towards the end of pregnancy.
I'm feeling ok just really uncomfortable. My tummy keeps rumbling like I'm hungry and I have hunger pains but I'm eating as normal. Strange.

Eliz I had a private room with ds1. It's makes such a difference. Wards are so noisy. With ds2 I was in for 4 days on a ward and didn't sleep as many of the women refused to get out of bed so were pressing buzzers every time their babies cried.
Beautiful photo I love her babygro.

Jem glad your little man is doing well. Feeding is so hard to call but eventually you find what works for you. I'm hoping to breast feed this time but who knows if I will be able to or not. I also plan on expressing from early on so that he can get used to boob and bottle. In fact my shiny new breast pump should arrive today. It's the little things haha.

Mascara eek I'm sure the nerves will kick in but at the same time you get to meet your baby soon. Yay.

Hopes so pleased that Harry is getting better now. I hope you are feeling better now too.

Well more signs during the night but woken up to more browny pink discharge. Walked to nursery to drop off ds3 in the hope it would start something but still nothing. I wonder if this baby is deliberately holding on until tomorrow daddy's birthday.

39+6

mascaraisamust · 07/07/2016 10:27

Ah beautician sounds promising...

I'm also keeping active trying to push this one along but he seems pretty comfy in there! No real signs. Having my nails done today. But apart from that it'll be a day bouncing on the ball! Xx

Cookiesandcoffee cute photo. Hows feeding going are you concerned about tongue tie?

KayTee87 Hope you get well soon and the tablets star making you feeling better. Iron tablets can be a bit rough on your insides.

Ellizardo lovely photo snd glad you managed to get a bit of sleep. Well done on the private room x

mascaraisamust and IndiansInTheLobby
good luck with induction!

HopesAndDreams15 sorry to hear Harry is a bit poorly.

BeauticianNotMagician81 hope things get moving for you soon.

Well I am still in the waiting game, no signs of a baby coming anytime soon. Yesterday I have noticed that the baby is very active at night but not so much during the day. This sort of resulted in me wondering all day if I should go in for reduced movement. In the end around 2pm I took a nap and she started wiggling.

In regards to induction I had the conversation with some pregnant yoga mums at my group last night about delaying induction as long as I can. I guess its one of those things hard to talk about.. I mean I don’t want to be foolish and risk the baby in anyway but at the same time I feel fine and really don’t want to go through another nightmare induction. I know they told me at this weekends appointment they will book me in for an induction I am just trying to figure out how long I can safely leave it.

40+5

pulpi · 07/07/2016 11:48

Well, he's 4/5 engaged, which is the least amount of commitment possible, but at least he's started to engage! Midwife said that if I want, I can have a sweep at 40 weeks or I can wait until 41 weeks. Thoughts? Would you opt for the sweep at 40 weeks or wait it out?

But as the wee one has not made any serious motions, I'm safe to book in for a last minute hair appointment this week without worrying that I'm going to shower the chair with my waters. I'll be joining mascara today with the ball bouncing... after a nice long walk up to the Coop for supplies.

Hope you feel better soon KayTee. I've never had the pleasure of iron tablets, but they sound just awful.

birdandbee · 07/07/2016 13:37

Eliz - Congratulations on your new arrival Flowers. She is gorgeous!! Look forward to hearing what you decide to call her Smile

Beautician Have been looking out for your posts with baited breath..... has been good to compare your symptoms to my own. Anything happening with you this afternoon? I was rather hopeful that I might have my baby by the weekend (after contracting all of Wednesday afternoon and loosing the last of my plug yesterday).... Yesterday I also felt like i needed the loo constantly, even if id just been. Lots of pressure down there. Baby movements were also really uncomfortable. However feeling comfortable and no signs today.
Is it possible to be having the odd twinge and then be contracting be the evening??

Good to hear that all the babies that have already been born are doing well!

Kaytee Sorry that you are feeling so unwell! Thinking of you!

Pulpi There is no harm in having a sweep and you can always have another at 41 weeks if it doesnt work 1st time. I found it helpful just to know whats going on down there / how close I am to going into labour.

birdandbee · 07/07/2016 13:45

Indians Sorry meant to ask how you are doing in my previous post! Hope all is now ok with you and baby?

dats · 07/07/2016 15:21

Indians oh no - why were you in? Hope you're doing ok.

pulpi congrats on baby pulp's engagement efforts!

Elliz big Miffy fans in this house! Also that sleepsuit! Where did you find it, it's lovely!!! Is it wrong that I want another girl just so she can have a navy spotty sleepsuit?? Hope you and that gorgeous girl are doing ok and you've managed a squish. How long will they keep you in?

KayTee iron is a bit grim innit? Although I'm lucky this time around as mine seem more agreeable than last time and the delicious rank orange drink I'm taking seems to keep things on the straight and narrow. Given the choice I think I'd prefer the loose side of things to the other..! Hope you feel better soon.

Hopes that's great news about Harry, glad he's feeling better.

Bluebell, Beaut, photog, bird COME ON BABIES!!!!

I sent DD to nursery today although she was a bit rattley - I think she started off this cold and now is a bit chesty but she seemed happy enough terrible mother. Anyway, they haven't called me, so she must be ok(!)

I've had a lovely day so far. After I dropped her off, I did a food shop and came home and had (free Waitrose) coffee and pancakes (store bought) and have been watching TV and knitting. Then had sort of a tapas-y lunch and am watching the tennis with my fat trotters up. Had a call from a lovely supervisory midwife earlier, just wanted to talk to me about my perineum (as you do) and shortly, when I've eaten some biscuits I am off to the osteopath. It's gone too quick - I'm rubbish at relaxing but today I've tried really hard!

dats (totally mistyped that as fats, how Freudian) 38+4

dats · 07/07/2016 16:06

Oh pulpi a friend of mine was talking about hypnobirthing and thinking about being in a place that you love and makes you feel peaceful and safe. No contest: Tofino Grin

tams13 · 07/07/2016 16:36

indians hope all is ok with you and baby. Not long now until you meet them!

Is it normal to have phone calls about your perineum dats? Not you personally but pregnant women in general...

Did a bit of ball bouncing earlier to no avail. Highlight of my day today has been a trip to Morrisons for some carpet cleaner. This maternity leave malarkey is glamorous!

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 07/07/2016 17:00

Indians hope all is ok. The end is in sight for you at least.

Pulpi if I'm still pregnant on Monday I will be having a sweep at 40+3. I don't want to be induced but I don't see a sweep as anything like that.

Bird I'm still losing the plug. Other than that no symptoms. Contractions can just start out of nowhere. Mine always do. They usually start with mild period pain for me and I think hmm this is it but I don't usually say anything to anyone until they start to get stronger. Who knows how things will happen for me this time.

Dats are you driving dd to nursery. I walked today as a little worried I'll go into labour behind the wheel but I think I'll drive ds3 tomorrow as the walk today was really difficult.

So had light spotting all day. Called the midwife to check this is normal apparently it is. I've just walked back from nursery and felt a lot of pressure. Been to the loo and more of my plug has gone. But still no contractions. It's so frustrating. I just want something to happen and if not could my symptoms do one so that I can get a good nights sleep.

I am very organised. Proud of myself. I've managed to wrap DHs birthday presents for tomorrow. Packed a special little vest hidden in my case should baby arrive on daddy's birthday. I've also ordered a yummy array of items and some prosseco for
an afternoon tea when DH finishes work. I usually do something amazing but that will do this year.

Ellizardo · 07/07/2016 17:56

Dats - its second hand M&S judging by the label! Only downside is the congrats on my baby boy when in fact we're welcoming Claudia Helene to the world!

And isn't Miffy fab? So darned inscrutable!

Beaut - v frustrating progress. Hope the endless plug finally gives way to baby!

Ps bluebell are you in labour yet?!

Cheery1 · 07/07/2016 18:04

Hi ladies!

Eliz - what a cutie! Lovely picture.

Indians - hope all ok?

Bird and Beautician - ah the suspense! Come on babies! Lucky DH Beaut - I'm in awe of your organisation skills as always.

Bluebell - how you doing?

Pulpi - second hypnobirthing and thinking of a safe place, worked for me when I had an examination last week….not pleasant but breathing and visualisation helped.

Dats - your day sounds pretty jam packed! As long as you feel you got some R&R by the end of it, that's the main thing..intrigued by perineum chat too!

Really upset stomach here (tmi) - not sure if it's anything starting or just reaction to antibiotics….bit of backache and a couple of cramps last night but who knows! I'm just keeping bouncing on my ball like you Tams…….nothing happening though…..

Cheery1 · 07/07/2016 18:05

Kaytee - sorry you're feeling rubbish you poor thing. Hope you feel better and can put your feet up soon.
