Hey Bluebell - you do indeed look lovely - very svelte too! Only thing left to say is - come on baby!

Dats - yes think we're sorted now post builders! The nursery is another matter but hey ho! Got a cot, and working kitchen so think we'll be ok. How are you doing? Sorry you've got a cold - miserable when so blooming pregnant! Come on babies!!!!

I reckon the massage is in part foof bootcamp ahead of birth! I've not been doing it as long as I should but it's making me feel like I'm doing something ahead of the thing that we can't really prepare for, and could happen any minute! I do wonder if it contributed to my UTI….

Mumof281 · 06/07/2016 14:20

Hello!
Jumping into the club... 3rd bambino due 14th July. Planning a home waterbirth, anyone else?
Lots of BH & period pains but nothing substantial yet.
Can't wait to be a mum of 3!

Rubytuesday2980 · 06/07/2016 14:46

julfin I say do stuff while you have the energy, and buy lots of biscuits - have no energy and no biscuits right now and it's affecting my ability to watch Wimbledon.

pulpi those chairs are lovely, good job on the painting.

beaut I do feel for you, so many 'could it be happening?' moments, that would really test my patience. Love that the lunch of choice is crunchy nut cornflakes.

Bluebell you're looking fab Smile Teddy looks like he enjoyed his bath, he's very sweet. Would love to give mine to the baby, but he's so threadbare from all the love and washing when I was little I think it might all be a bit much for the poor bear.

primary if I can be arsed, will pop to Sainsburys for said bras, good to know of some that work. Personal question, but how did you judge what size to buy? Predicting much unpredictable-ness on the boob front in the next few weeks...

Hello mumof281, you can be another one on my list of heroes who are somehow managing to be pregnant and look after other children!

primarynoodle · 06/07/2016 14:59

ruby they are the ones that come in plastic packets and is a lycra type material - my boobs must be an F now the milk is in at least, but i have D size ones and theyve been brill. Much more comfy than maternity bras (and cheaper) and just as practical as you just pull the cup down.

foobio · 06/07/2016 16:03

Hi everyone, sorry I haven't RTF (well I have but can't remember who said what) just wanted to say I've just had a sweep and it was barely even uncomfortable, so nothing to be apprehensive about. Unfortunately less than 1cm dilated though and only 3/5 engaged so although the midwife says she has a good success rate, I'm not holding my breath!
Crossed fingers to those wanting baby out, and crossed legs to those that don't!
40+2

birchybaby2 · 06/07/2016 17:01

Hi folks. Just catching up on the news. Congratulations to those who've had their babies already. Love Annie and George. Daughter wants our little boy to be George as she has a baby boy annabel of that name.
Well finally feel we could be ready to meet the baby. Friend has painted the nursery for me, while I've glossed the paintwork in the hall. Also washed new born clothes!!! A productive day. Now time for our wedding anniversary tea (8 years today) before I go to a parenting class on my own while Hubble does brownies and bedtime. Warned him not to drink too much while watching Wales as painting may hopefully trigger labour. Xx

Doingitover · 06/07/2016 17:18

I've been reading. Just not been brave enough to post. But I'm feeling pretty confident now that I'm 38 weeks. Had consultant last week and babba was 3/5 engaged. Midwife today and he's wriggled free!!
Booked in for c-section next Thursday so I'm a little relieved that he isn't ready to turn up. Has anyone else had them wriggle free?

Ellizardo · 06/07/2016 18:22

You get me too I'm afraid!
Baby born 1530. 8lb7oz. Name tbc! All good. Will post more soon. Morphine is amaazinnnngg X

Congratulations elliz! What a gorgeous little one you've got. Hope you're not feeling too sore (and the morphine doesn't wear off any time soon).

beckslovestimmy · 06/07/2016 19:30

Wow elliz, gorgeous!! And a pretty mummy too. Enjoy the morphine!!!!! Congratulations.

julfin · 06/07/2016 19:38

Congratulations Elliz! What a cute and happy baby! Glad you're feeling ok Wink

Doing - welcome! Yes, my baby was less engaged this week than 2 weeks ago. Apparently it's normal for them to bob around a bit. I am 38w (+1)

Cheery1 · 06/07/2016 19:48

Congratulations Eliz! You both look beautiful! Well done ladies x

Cheery1 · 06/07/2016 19:48

Hi Doing - welcome! x

dats · 06/07/2016 19:50

Elliz MASSIVE CONGRATS! She's lovely and you look serene and beautiful - good weight (her, not you although I'm sure yours is fine ah erm...lalala Grin) FlowersStarBrew Can't wait for name (although we took two weeks to decide so I'm in no position). Enjoy all the drugs!

Welcome Doingit! and Mumof281 - congrats on the imminent arrival of your 282nd child Wink

foobio sending successful sweep vibes. I've now started thinking about brooms as well as small grey puppets!

GoingLoopy I'm on FB, but it's a different beast, to here I think. Less of an all-round conversation, more a Q&A format and although it's far less effort, I feel like it's a lot less rewarding, too I guess. Good that we can have both - most people seem to prefer one or the other, going by the fact that there are folk on FB that haven't posted in here since first trimester!

birchy that is a productive day! Brownies of the cake kind or human kind?? Happy anniversary Flowers

I've had a productive day, too. And not just in snot terms (sorry, sorry...) I washed the front door Hmm. Not as odd as it sounds, really - it was covered in plaster dust. Looks loads better. And we've hung one pair of new bargain curtains so the spot for the birth pool is now not overlooked by the neighbours/Gatwick flightpath. Did all the washing, had a good post-plastering clean up (mostly DP). Plaster is drying nicely, so lucky with the weather that we've been able to have the bifolds open since 9am. Was meant to be going for dinner with old NCT chum but she also a cold so we've postponed. And had to cancel visiting friend with 8 week old tomor as I don't want to pass on my germs to them.

Beaut? Any news??! deliberately annoying question

AnnaT45 · 06/07/2016 20:29

eliz huge congrats!!! You look fab and my what a gorgeous bub! You'll have to tell me how you feel after the elective vs emergency. I'm starting to stress a bit about how I'll cope with the lack of mobility and DD and newborn. Think I'll get my sister into move in to help DH!

I didn't see mum today as needed a break which was great as I've got three loads of washing done and all the newborn stuff is ironed and ready to go. Managed to unpack two boxes and for my bro to fit some blinds plus had a play date. DD in nursery tomorrow so have midwife then off to see mum and an afternoon to myself!!! Hurray!!

It's interesting on sweeps. They attempted one on me last time at 40 weeks but my cervix was high and closed! I then had one at 41 weeks. It just gave me a show and a couple of contractions but then it stopped! I'm sure you should be able to request one at 39/40 if you wanted.

Re breastfeeding clothes def do the best underneath it's much easier. Nursing clothes are expensive and mainly quite mumsy I find. I know I'm a mum but you know what I mean.

Hope all are well! Beaut if you're in labour good luck! If not Have some cake x

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 06/07/2016 21:24

Dats I think this one is going to be different. I'm hoping for quick although not too quick. Ds3 is at nursery tomorrow and Friday so at least I have childcare sorted should anything happen.

Bluebell you look amazing. Teddy looks so sweet as well. Some lovely photos. Although I thought you were posting a newborn pic at first. Come on baby Bluebell.

Ruby it is annoying as its just not what I'm used to. My body usually does this but really well grr.

Foobio hope things get moving for you soon. Sending labour vibes your way.

Doing welcome. Babies often bob in and out of being engaged. The head can also engage at the very start of labour so don't worry.

Eliz huge congratulations. You both look great. Lovely picture. Enjoy those newborn snuggles. Jealous.

Anna haha thank you. I had some strawberries and ice cream Smile Pleased you are getting some of the jobs ticked off your list. Delegate, delegate, delegate and have some you time.

Well I've had browny/red discharge all day. Lost another bit of what I think is my plug about an hour ago. Still no contractions just feeling very uncomfortable. Baby is moving loads and it hurts . Plus I need a wee every five minutes. I just can't call it this time. I'm just going to try and get a good sleep. I think I'm probably so anxious this time around as I have 3 children that need to be looked after as well as DH working 45-60 minute drive away.

39+5 and not at all impatient

Mumof281 · 06/07/2016 21:33

Lovely to see some new arrivals... I keep swinging between feeling desperate to go into labour and get going..... And hoping it doesn't happen because I'm scared! Silly I know.... Anyone else feel like that?!

Liz09 · 06/07/2016 21:40

Congrats Elliz what a gorgeous bub.

Mumof281 Yep! First baby here, so I'm anxious that something is going to go wrong. Baby still isn't engaged at 38 weeks, so I don't think it's happening anytime soon, but I keep thinking "well, I've had such an easy time of it so far, something is bound to go wrong during labour/delivery!"

Cheery1 · 06/07/2016 21:51

beaut - totally hear you on baby moving and it being painful.. I'm getting a heel or something in the same spot, now really quite sore! No signs he's on his way though.

Cheery1 · 06/07/2016 21:52

Mumof2 - also sounds v familiar!

Mumof281 · 06/07/2016 22:08

Liz09 Oh I'm sure that a trouble free pregnancy should result in a smooth labour.... That's my philosophy!

Mumof281 · 06/07/2016 22:11

Being a bit new to this... How do you directly respond to someone else? Getting their username in bold?

Rubytuesday2980 · 06/07/2016 22:35

mumof2 tap on the I symbol below the box you type in and there's all sorts of handy hints Smile

pulpi · 06/07/2016 22:40

Congrats elliz! Good to know the morphine does the trick!

Cookiesandcoffee · 06/07/2016 22:51

Congratulations elliz looking great both of you! Keep us posted with a name Smile

Come on baby bluebell !! agree with others you look incredible and very svelte for a pregnant lady- never mind one at 41 weeks!! Go you !!

beaut I really do think any day, your others have literally come within days of each other around now so this really must be it! I feel sure you'll have had him by the weekend! I completely understand your anxiety of childcare/husband difficulties.

About breastfeeding tops - I bought a pack of 2 from h&m for about £15?? Maybe less. They are great and I've been putting them
Under stuff if needs be. I always try and not be toooo mumsy. Having said that as someone else said I also find the £3/4 camis from H&M pretty much as useful.

Took G back to hospital to see the tongue tie specialist and was so surreal going back to post natal ward. They really are so lovely though.

Here is a snap of the little dude yesterday ready to go home from hospital
