Okay, this will out me as the massive nerd that I am, but all the Star Trek tv programmes just came onto Netflix UK. Like, ALL the Star Treks.

I was going to get so much done today. Hoovering, laundry, and tidying up. And technically, I could still do all that while playing Star Trek in the background. But you know what's about to happen? I'm going to make pregnant lady nest on the sofa (many pillows, blankets, and an unlimited supply of tea and biscuits) and only move when I have to pee. Which'll be every 15 minutes.

Has anyone else been adding things to their Netflix list in preparation for mind-numbing boredom of the last stretch / first terrifying weeks of breastfeeding and sleeplessness?

Eeck we're in July. Lots of babies due now. 18 days and counting here ( still got it in my head that daughter was 2 weeks early!!!). Not ready for his arrival yet though.
Really sorry to hear your news Anna. Difficult to handle at the best if times but not when heavily pregnant and moving house. Try and rest while your visiting your mum. Thinking of you.
Busy week trying to get organised. Lazyish day today, managed to get a pedicure and afternoon tea. Now for a weekend painting nursery!!
Take care ladies. Keep posting and keep us informed of more new arrivals. Xx

mascaraisamust · 01/07/2016 18:36

18 days here too Birchy! Feel rather achy tonight, just not right. Already in bed! X

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 01/07/2016 18:52

7 days here. Eek

mascaraisamust · 01/07/2016 19:08

So exciting!! Need to keep busy! Can't wait!

photographerlady · 01/07/2016 20:30

gnat99 hayfever and pregnancy is rough, I have found this season particularly bad.

Bluebell20 How you feeling after the sweep? Yeah don’t feel bad its not the time to entertain people… I should know I have been hiding away from my mother house guest cause I just need me time.

Jem01 Hows breastfeeding going? It took me almost 10 days to get my milk to come in, can be so frustrating

Cookiesandcoffee sorry you are so tired. I find I have to nap 4-6:30pm everyday especially if I want to do my DD nighttime routine. Struggling to stay awake til 4.

BeauticianNotMagician81 wow a wax, I would be so scared if I was the person waxing, just cause I would be worried I set someone off in labour :)

Mega pregnant and booked in tomorrow for my first sweep. I have been trying to get up and out the house by 10am for a walk and coffee in town. Today was mother daughter day with a friend who is just 4 weeks behind me but is set for induction on the 15th. Its nice to have one of my local NCT mums also having her second at the same time, we let the 3 years olds eat cake and we moaned about our cankles.

Hello all! Haven't been doing a very good job of keeping up, sorry!

Anna so sorry to hear your news x

Jem my milk came in about 4-5 days after DD was born. She was born Wednesday afternoon and it was properly in by Sunday afternoon.

I'm doing OK. Feeding was initially a nightmare but it's starting to settle down. Unfortunately I have developed an infection in my c section wound. I've started a course of antibiotics today and am hoping that will nip it in the bud: it has seemed to get dramatically worse very suddenly. It's pretty painful, but I don't feel unwell generally. I'm a bit freaked out by it tbh and have convinced myself it will take weeks to get rid of, or that I will get really ill and end up back in hospital Sad it's a shame as I was just starting to feel a bit happier and more confident after a teary first few days.

HopesAndDreams15 · 01/07/2016 21:29

Apologies to those not in the FB group but I couldn't update the thread using the MN app whilst in hospital.

My gorgeous boy arrived safely on Wednesday at 17:25 weighing in at an impressive 7lb 5.5 oz at 36 + 6.

We came out of hospital today and the whole family is so in love with him...enjoying our newborn cuddles.

Looking forward to watching the rest of the July babies making an appearance...come on babies!!

Liz09 · 01/07/2016 21:48

Thanks for the warm welcome, ladies. Smile

HopesAndDreams15 Congratulations! Does he have a name yet? Smile

pulpi · 01/07/2016 22:11

Congrats Hopes! That's a decent sized baby for nearly 37 weeks, eh?

Cookiesandcoffee · 01/07/2016 22:49

bluebell I'm also feeling like everything is down to how 'able bodied' I am at the moment in question. Your patchwork quilt project sounds exciting! Joining you on hands and knees; today's 'necessary' task was skirting board cleaning Hmm

pulpi I've done the opposite with Netflix. I swore I was going to save OITNB for sleepless nights/endless feeding.. However I have binge watched the entire series already. Blush any recommendations much appreciated!

photographer best of luck with your sweep tomorrow ; really hoping it gets something going for you. If there was an opportunity in my day I would nap, but on a rare occasion I am childfree I am compelled to take on a hormonally-fuelled nesting task.

youandme really sorry to hear about your infection. Fingers crossed the antibiotics clear it up ASAP. Hope the pain isn't too bad. You poor thing. Hope you can get some rest. And also enjoying your little bundle of joy

hopes I will congratulate you again GrinWine
Glad you are home and well. And yes a really good weight for the gestation indeed! Enjoy your cuddles- you can never have too many!

My random aches and twinges of today have amounted to nothing. Darn. Especially now DH has finished work I would ideally like to get him out in the next 24 hours (laughs) Today was the day I've said for a long time I thought he was going to come, and part of me feels disappointed that he hasn't?

primarynoodle · 02/07/2016 04:39

So after weeks of intense braxton hicks and a couple of days of diarrhoea ive been up with some rather painful crampy waves coming every 5 minutes or so for the last hour.... could this be it?!
PROBABLY NOT! STARTING TO THINK THIS BABY WILL NEVER COME OUT (and im not even 40 weeks yet Angry)

pulpi ive got my netflix playlist set up with 'want to watch' and 'put on in background to fall asleep to' programmes, because i always spend hours faffing about trying to find something to watch when i am actually intending to fall asleep to it!

hopes congrats - do we have a name? Thats a very impressive weight for a not-even 37 weeker!

you glad the feeding is going well. Im sure the infection will clear up soon enough. Be aware that the baby blues dont turn into something else, your hormones are strong little blighters - im being really upfront and honest about my chances of pnd as i think itll be the best way to make sure i dont get it! Your friends and family (and us!) are here to support :)

photographerlady · 02/07/2016 06:21

Happy due date to me. Anyone else waking up pregnant every morning and feeling a bit disappointed? I'm off for a sweep and cream tea.

primarynoodle Here's hoping it's the real thing! How exciting if so. Smile

primarynoodle · 02/07/2016 06:47

Well have been up scrubbing the house since 4.45 and they havent tailed off yet - although maybe a little further apart? Got a ctg booked at 8.30 at the hospital - am i right in thinking if it is contractions that they will show up on there?

Cheery1 · 02/07/2016 07:48

primary sounds like this could be it! Good luck! X

ValerieTheHorse · 02/07/2016 07:53

Good luck primary!!!!

How do I join the fb group? I can't keep up here!!

39 weeks today - no baby yet but I'm very impatient!!!

Cheery1 · 02/07/2016 07:53

Thanks everyone for stretch mark sympathy - bought some expensive snake oil to make myself feel better! cookies - alas as a ginger the tan option isn't really there but hey ho. I get a baby so what are a few stretch marks?!

pulpi I love Star Trek!! That's v exciting!!!

Come on baby bluebell! You never know, having your dad around might be a good distraction and make that baby hurry up...

Welcome liz

Totally feeling the impatience/tiredness with being pregnant. I'd quite like a baby now please! 7 days to go til DD but who knows!!!

Happy Sat all x

Cheery1 · 02/07/2016 07:54

hopes huge congrats to you! X

Cheery1 · 02/07/2016 07:55

you - so sorry you're having a rough time, you poor thing. Really hope those antibiotics start work pronto and you start feeling a bit better. Sending hugs x

beckslovestimmy · 02/07/2016 08:40

You sorry to hear about the infection. In my experience 24-48hrs of antibiotics and you'll really see an improvement. Great job on the feeding, glad it's starting to get easier.
*
Primary* good luck definitely sounds promising. Hope the CTG shows that they are contractions. My time line was period pains at 3am ish, waves of back pain from 6.30ish that got stronger. They were closer together when I was moving and slowed when I rested (I just kept walking circuits round the living/dining room), I went into hospital at 4pm, baby born at 18.53. Here's hoping you'll be having newborn idles at some point today!!!!

Photo happy due date!!

Come on baby cookie, it's a shame these babies are not so accommodating with their timing! Smile

Hopes massive congratulations and well done. I bet you'd have had a wopper if you went to your due date!! Ben was 7lb 10oz at 40+2

Welcome Liz

mascaraisamust · 02/07/2016 09:14

Hope congratulations!

Primary it sounds positive! The ctg will show if you are having waves of contractions, they should be able to see if it's Braxton hicks or the real deal! Hope it's the latter for you.

I've had a bit of brown spotting over the last few days, is this is a sign?! Baby is moving fine! People are saying I've dropped even further, just felt off it last night. This morning I'm raring to go, ready for washing, ironing, scrubbing...a ikea trip Confused

julfin · 02/07/2016 09:14

Photographer - "I'm off for a sweep and cream tea" - not at the same time?!

Primary - good luck! Cheering you on!

Hopes - think I've already said it on fb, but congratulations!

You&Me - sorry you're having a tough time. Hope things right themselves soon.

Bluebell - sorry you're feeling cranky. Understandable of course. Good luck with your dad.

Ruby - hope you enjoyed lunch with your friend. Sounded like a welcome break. Did you manage to answer the country's problems?! Wink

As Indians said, I hope those of you who had your babies in June will stick with our group when we officially become a post-natal group!

Beaut how did the wax go? Very brave! I'm sticking with cream for now. Due to lack of manoeuvrability, the current result might make me look a little bit like a hand-me-down threadbare teddy, but I just can't brace myself for waxing pain at the mo. Will enjoy getting my hair redone next week instead Smile
*
Valerie* - hello again! Miss Scase administrates the fb group. She's not on this thread v often nowadays but you can nudge her via fb and she'll let you in!

Pulpi/Primary - v good point re Netflix. Ladies, once I've finished game of thrones (am on S4 now), and noting that I've previously enjoyed west wing, spooks and 24, what would I enjoy next? I think I'd be up for something with a bit of history in it (but not crucial) - am open to suggestions please! Failing that, I'm looking forward to being able to keep on top of programmes like the daily politics and question time over the next few months

Well, I finished work yesterday - hurrah! Went out for a nice lunch with people from my unit - felt v chilled and civilised. They gave me a beautiful bunch of flowers, plus a really lovely set of Peter rabbit babygro and bodysuit - really smart and good quality (and will make a nice change from the white multipacks I've been buying!). Also the book of Peter rabbit. I am totally not sad about finishing, but it was a very sweet send-off. I've also started receiving presents from friends and family - will post a pic later of Monkey, Duck and Bear! Have been feeling blessed. And DH has come out of his black cloud and been lovely and supportive/involved this last week too, so my whole world is feeling rosier Smile

For those who asked, here is Harry George. I can't begin to tell you all how in love I am with him....worth every second of a hard pregnancy!
