Wow another baby. Congratulations speak. Off bed now. Last shift at work tomorrow. Not sure how I'll manage but will give it a go. Xx

dats · 18/06/2016 23:34

Speak!!! Huge congrats, what a lovely boy! So glad he's here safe and sound. Hope you get some squishes soon. My DD was 7lb 2 at 37+4! Flowers

Anna that's some tough stuff to be dealing with all at once. And nice one hairdresser for fucking up the chance to make you feel a bit better! Sorry your mum is back in hosp but agree with Elliz - plan is good. Hope she can get some relief. Sending you lots of love, keep talking! xx

Pool party was good. DD went to bed at 10.30 but was good as gold. Hopefully she'll sleep ok and all will be fine tomor. I'm enjoying a nice sociable weekend but it's making me a bit panicky that I'm not gettin stuff done. Must chuck some homebirth/hospital bag stuff into the spare room tomor.

Sleep tight, especially baby Speak!

tams13 · 18/06/2016 23:42

Wow! Congratulations speak. He looks gorgeous. Hope he's feeling a bit better after his blood transfusion and you get a proper cuddle soon. I wasn't expecting that news when I logged on tonight!

anna sounds very hectic with you. Hairdresser can't have helped either. Hope they fix it on Tues when you go back in. Thinking of your mum and hoping she's as comfortable as she can be at the moment.

SpeakNoWords · 19/06/2016 05:40

Aargh, woken up at 5.30am for another blood test... I'm very fed up of being poked about!

Thinking about what happened yesterday, if anyone has any concerns about reduced movement, do please get it checked out. I don't think baby Speak would be doing so well if I'd left it a couple of more days.

pulpi · 19/06/2016 07:29

Congrats Speak and welcome baby Speak!

mascaraisamust · 19/06/2016 08:06

Speak, huge congrats! These babies and their movements do worry us! Maybe he was just 'ready'. He looks a good weight! Hope you get to enjoy lots of cuddles later. Congrats again.

Cookiesandcoffee · 19/06/2016 09:34

Congratulations again speak he's gorgeous. Great name and weight - Glad he's doing well and making me freak out a little as I think we were due date buddies or there abouts. Hope you're recovering well.

Talking of freak out... I think one of our DDs has woken up with chicken pox or similar this morning Confused neither have had it.

Will check back in later.. Off to panic and consult Google about newborns and chicken pox/shingles ....

Congratulations speak, he's gorgeous. I bet he would have a been a wopper if you went full term. Glad he's here safe and sound and doing well. Hoping you'll be home soon.

pulpi · 19/06/2016 10:22

Oh no, Cookies! Chicken pox is miserable. No idea about any effects on newborns, but hope that your DD feels better soon.

tams13 · 19/06/2016 11:29

cookies a friend of mine has been in contact with somebody with chicken pox while pregnant. As she's never had it, she needed a jab to protect her and the baby. It might be worth phoning your local antenatal unit to have a chat with one of the midwives about it.

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 19/06/2016 11:58

Cookies have you had chicken pox? If so you're both fine as your immunity gets automatically passed to baby. Hopefully he will stay in for a bit longer.

AnnaT45 · 19/06/2016 13:36

Congrats speak he is perfect!! Good weight! Definitely ready to come meet you! Please take it super easy for the next couple of weeks, the more you recover now the easier it will be down the line. Hope you're not in too much pain, just ask for more painkillers if so. It's just lovely news!

Thank you so much for your lovely messages. Mum doing ok today but we will see what the next few weeks hold. beaut I'm going to have a spa day once we've moved and I'm on may leave and DD in nursery. Just going to have a relax as I really really need it. Just been to buy lots of easy food for the week as I can't be bothered to cook lol!

cookies my nephew had changed corn pox when my sister was 39 weeks pregnant. I think she was ok as she had had it. But check with the midwife. Hope little one is feeling ok? X

AnnaT45 · 19/06/2016 13:36

Chicken pox! Not corn pox! Sounds like a cereal lol

Thom80 · 19/06/2016 13:42

Hi,

Yesterday was a day of babies, things went rapidly downhill & I had a EMCS at 16:30 yesterday. We had a beautiful baby girl weighing 4lbs at 36 wks. She unfortunately has premature respiracy problems & is in neonatal intensive care. She is absotuley perfect & we are both so in love. Due to her problems & the fact I lost a lot of blood, more than expected, I wasn't able to see her until 11:30 last night. That was very hard. We haven't been able to hold her yet but can't wait until we can.
speak - congratulations on your baby boy. We are now arrival date buddies. I hope that he is going from strength to strength. How are you?
