On day 7 of stinking cold, I miss medicine :(
Luckily OH is doing the cooking (he would say like usual) and I can load the washing machine and sit til it finishes (no option for a quick wash, oh dear...) so things aren't going too badly on that front.
Just so tired at work. I do a (mostly) desk based job but I'm wrecked. I also read that work have to provide you with somewhere to lie down if you need to. Not sure what my boss would say if I disappeared off to the ambulance for a nap though!

SaraC8 · 12/04/2016 11:04

Ugh I'm also full of of cold, my stuffy nose and cough is making me throw up which is not fun. Having a duvet day today before work tomorrow (I'm a hairdresser so can't really chill out at work, have to be cheerful all day, lol) Confused

dottydimples · 12/04/2016 11:50

Just had my scan. All is good, baby even did a few jumps for us and a couple of waves Grin DD is now 14th October which makes me 13weeks and 4 days. Woohoo!

FuzzyOwl · 12/04/2016 12:09

I miss medicine as well MeDown and hope you feel better soon.

And hope you feel better as well Sara. I am dying my hair at home today because I can't face being cheerful to my hairdresser so maybe there is a job market in a non speaking salon for pregnant women! Grin

Great news dotty.

Hi again everyone
I had another scan and results of Harmony test today. All looked good, and low risk for the 3 common trisomies - hooray! Also found out that we are having a boy! Exciting - I have one of each already so was good either way.
I'm 13+2 and looking absolutely enormous already... not good for the summer!!

Gigglebert · 12/04/2016 13:46

Sitting in waiting room for my scan, husband couldn't get afternoon off so I'm by myself and am super early as I was worried about the crap parking situation and thought I'd end up miles from the hospital but got a space no bother! Desperate to pee as I drank a huge volume of water in prep for the scan! Fingers crossed all still ok in there!

positivity123 · 12/04/2016 14:01

Good luck gigglebert
Sara I'm due same day as you. Hope you feel better soon.
I weighed myself yesterday and have lost 1lb but I reckon now my appetite is back I'll start to put on. I've given up chocolate for the pregnancy as I'm such an all or nothing personal i know I'd just binge. Also trying to do my 10000 steps every day which I'm managing about 4 days a week.
fairgroundsnack lovely that you are having a boy

Gigglebert · 12/04/2016 14:12

Thanks positivity, just had my scan, baby looks absolutely fine but placenta is low which may be the cause of the small bleeds I've been having. Apparently they will check again at 20 weeks and if it hasn't moved up will look again at 28 weeks. Waiting to see the midwives now- unsure why so not sure if I can go pee yet!

Delighted baby is ok! :)

FuzzyOwl · 12/04/2016 14:37

Great news fairground and Giggle.

I'm 15 weeks and have thrown up twice today Envy

I'm sure I should be feeling better by now!

pod100 · 12/04/2016 17:03

Congrats on your scans dotty, gigglebert and fairgroundsnack! Had mine today too and all good! Baby was very wriggly and active, waving and kicking all over the place and NT measurement was 1.6 which is a big relief! Had to go and empty my bladder part way through scan as it was so full they couldn't do the measurements properly! 😂

My dates were brought forward too from 11+4 to 12+2 so I'm now due 23 Oct!

Paige84 · 12/04/2016 17:07

Hi Fuzzy, myself and my tiny warrior are hanging on. A&E first thing on Monday where I was told I was having contractions and they wouldn't be stopped at this stage (14+5). They listened to bubs with doppler and sent me home to "wait and see" (horrid phrase hey?!) on strict rest and recheck this morning. Lovely scan shows s/he's happy and very wriggly today, checked me over and they're happy enough contractions have stopped. Que a deep sigh of relief! I'm now happy, home and terrified of even taking the dog for a walk!
Hope everyone else is doing well today too :)

FuzzyOwl · 12/04/2016 17:30

What a stressful few days for you Paige but so glad he or she is stubbornly staying put.

Just checking in on new thread and trying to keep up.
Hello to everyone who is new :)
And so glad to hear of all the positive scans since I was last on.
How stressful for you Paige but I'm so glad all is ok. Sending lots of positive wishes your way.

14+5 here and back to work tomorrow as have been off on and off for nearly 4 weeks with hyperemesis.
It's finally settled to the point I'm feeling sick but not being sick. Very glad but also quite anxious about going back.

MeDownSouth · 12/04/2016 17:55

Yay congrats Paige and Giggle! Nice to hear everyone's happy news!
Thank you Fuzzy, feeling better and mainlining orange juice but I know it would've been shorter and easier with decongestant. We have a work research trip out tomorrow so I'm hoping I'll stay normal and not get car sick or have to eat 'weirdly'. At least I can try and blame it on the cold!

MeDownSouth · 12/04/2016 17:56

Good luck Pink! I'm sure you'll be fine :)

SchnitzelvonKrummsverylowtum · 12/04/2016 18:48

So nice to hear all the positive news, and that some of you are starting to feel better.

12 weeks today, and still feeling (and being) sick Sad. Scan on Thursday - I'm getting nervous now. I'm hoping that I start to feel better soon, the nausea and fatigue are making working full time and dealing with an active toddler particularly difficult. Have no idea how those of you with more than one DC manage it!

goldenpineapple · 12/04/2016 18:48

Checking in to new thread at 13+2 - just had my screening results and all super low risk - big relief and now finally think i may be ready to share the news! Woohoo!

Hello to all new people and congrats for all positive scans and news!

climbingcheesecake · 12/04/2016 18:50

congrats everyone on scans and positive news!

Does Raynaulds give you sore nipples fuzzy?

Afreshstartplease · 12/04/2016 19:50

Congrats to everyone on good scans

Glad to hear you are doing okay Paige!

After feeling movements atleast once a day I now haven't felt any for two days, telling myself baby has probably just found a new place to lie but can't stop feeling something is up

However, no midwife is going to listen are they I'm only 12+6 and they'll say I had bloody wind

It's baby four I know what I'm feeling!

FuzzyOwl · 12/04/2016 20:19

No climbing, only fingers and toes but it is quite well known for affecting pregnant and breastfeeding women's nipples.

I think it is still worth a call Afresh. Always best to be safe than sorry and, as you say, it is baby number four and you know what you are feeling.

Hi everyone! Lovely to see more scans coming through! I had my second scan today, as I was too small last time, and I'm now 13+1, which makes my EDD 17 October! Baby was upside down and very cosy initially, so the dr had to keep wriggling and poking my tummy to move it. Eventually it swam up the right way and the NT measurement was recorded as 2, which is great news! Now I'm busy trying to guess if it's a girl or boy!

BadlyWrittenPoem · 12/04/2016 21:21

Good to hear about all the good scans. Smile

My MW messaged me today to check I had a scan date and is now going to chase it up.

Wow, 10000 steps positivity?! I'm spending most of my time sitting or lying down still. My friend gave me a book about Pilates in pregnancy so am thinking of trying that soon. I'm currently feeling rather dead though as I went out twice and missed my afternoon rest (I lie down in my youngest's bed while the children tidy their room; they are very slow!)

Re colds the NHS says that decongestants aren't effective and can actually be counterproductive so you might as well take paracetamol by itself anyway rather than the special cold tablets if you want to take something. I've never used that stuff though so don't have any personal experience.

Northernlight22 · 12/04/2016 21:36

Fab news on the scans :)

Not much happening here - tired, grumpy and just counting the days to my next scan and hoping alls ok.

Weight wise, I've lost about 5lbs since I found out I was pregnant (I'm chunky though) haven't really been sick so I'm guessing it's because I haven't been eating as much as I had been doing!

Northernlight22 · 12/04/2016 21:37

Thinking of starting pregnancy yoga shortly - anyone else?
