Welcome to another riveting instalment of TTC#1 grads.

We've got new grads POAS every day just to make sure, 1st Trimesters wondering if they will be hit by the dreaded morning sickness or not, those approaching the hollowed promised land of the second trimester where all is good and the glowing will prevail... Those who have reached the second trimester and are thoroughly miffed at the lack of glowing.
We have scan photos, bizarre symptoms and the joys of baby shopping, and very importantly we now have Stark!

All are welcome on the wild gas powered ride that is TTC#1 grads Grin

Miley I second everyone else saying don't feel guilty! You've had it worse than any of us and it's totally understandable to hate being pregnant.

I love my little Potato (who is now a 18 week old croissant who keeps punching me) but I hate being pregnant and am really glad I only want the one. I can't wait for it to be over so that I can have my body back.
I think it's made worse by the fact that we're all brainwashed into thinking it will be this wonderful experience. It's not, it's uncomfortable, painful, at times distressing and a constant source of worry. The only good thing about it is the baby you get at the end!

Anyway, you have a good old resent of being pregnant and don't worry one bit about all those people who want to be pregnant. They have no idea what it's like but they will learn Wink

Agree with everyone miley - hang in there, you're doing really well.

Been woken up by heartburn, this is new.

I think I'm 3+6 and due at the beginning of December. So still on the very early side of things, but keeping everything crossed!

ImpYCelyn · 26/03/2016 07:40

Starky just seen!!! Amazing news!! Massive congrats to you Thanks

Jamjar12 · 26/03/2016 07:46

Hugs Miley Thanks

Congrats impy! I found out at 3+6 too Smile It felt like I had to wait forever for anything to start happening because I'm so impatient!

BunchOfBobs · 26/03/2016 07:55

Welcome and congrats Imp.

Miley as everyone has said do not feel guilty. More than once a day you'll hear me say "stupid baby" or "damn bump" if I can't do something or eat something I want. No one expects you to be walking around on cloud 9 because you're pregnant 24:7. Be kind to yourself you're having a hideous time of it.

I felt rather rough last night, think it was low blood pressure and hunger. I had mega food aversions and couldn't face any food on offer and had to go to bed at 8pm.

Feeling much better this morning and I'm 20 weeks today. Baby boy is the size of a Belgian endive Hmmor a mango (much more imaginable).

ImpYCelyn · 26/03/2016 08:04

Don't feel guilty Miley. I was really ill with complications with ds2 (not HG though) and had 3 hospitalisations and loads of trips to the hospital foetal monitoring unit at all hours of day and night. I spent months crying and saying I just wanted it to be over and I wanted him out. Then I went into labour at 28 weeks and felt like a monster. They stopped that and he stayed put til 38, but I felt so guilty. Looking back though, it was reasonable to feel like that. No one would want to be going through it, and pregnancy stuff can last for ages. My sil had HG and lost 10kg. She was in and out of hospital, and then it did just vanish and she loved the rest of her pregnancy. FX that happens really soon for you ThanksThanks xx

Thanks Jam and Bunch Smile

StarkyTheDirewolf · 26/03/2016 08:23

miley you poor thing, get to bed, rest as much as possible. You need much tlc. Flowers

Ive woken up with oral thrush. Well, no, I thought I'd just burnt my tongue in a too hot cup of tea but after three days I did some investigation. Off to the pharmacy shortly. Apparently it's not unusual in early pregnancy. Bloody uncomfortable though.

Pinklily1 · 26/03/2016 08:49

Congratulations Imp and welcome!

ImpYCelyn · 26/03/2016 09:38

Thank you Pink Smile

IndiX · 26/03/2016 09:41

Hope today is a better day for you Miley.

So after yesterday's post saying I'm completely normal, feel great and no more nausea I think I jinxed myself. Me and DH went for tapas for lunch yesterday and think I had too much garlic as I felt sick for the whole afternoon. Ended up having a sleep and then waking up and being sick. Feel better today though so hoping it was just a one off.
How's everyone doing today?

shelbTa · 26/03/2016 10:04

Welcome imp.

That sounds rough stark!

I think I felt a proper kick this morning! Smile was lying in bed waiting for the gaviscon to kick in and it was a definite prod just below my belly button to the right!

LisaTheGreek · 26/03/2016 10:07

Quick question for everyone - I went to the loo and suddenly got an incredibly sharp pain on the left side of my pelvis. It was so sharp and strong I cried out and tears came to my eyes.

It went away quickly and hasn't come back since. No other weird symptoms (except ongoing sickness).

Has anyone else had anything like this? I've had cramp-like pains, which have been strong, but this was really something else.

LisaTheGreek · 26/03/2016 10:25

Probably worth adding, the pain came when I 'stretched' (so to speak) to go the loo (number two). Sorry for TMI

LaraG13 · 26/03/2016 10:50

Morning all!

Welcome imp! And congrats!

lisa I get sharp stabby pains occasionally as well as cramps, but maybe not quite as intense as the one you've described.

Sorry to hear a few of you had a rough night of it. I'm feeling sorry for myself because I'm alone all Easter weekend and too ill to really get out of the house or do anything. And no chocolate!! I've decided I'm going to get OH to get me Easter eggs and I'm going to save them for a few weeks time when I'm no longer sick and have my own little Easter.

Yay for your first kick shelb! How exciting.

starky oral thrush sounds unpleasant. I have got thrush on one of my nipples and can't seem to get rid of it. Anyone else had this?

Mileymoocow · 26/03/2016 11:30

Thank you everyone for making me feel more normal. I can't say anything to OH incase he takes it the wrong way and thinks I don't want our baby, so it's nice to hear others hate being pregnant too. I'll be the first to admit I'm an absolute wreck at the moment!

starky hope it clears up soon! That sounds dreadful!

OH is doing far too much overtime at the minute so my mum is doing my shopping for me. You know when you just feel 100% useless? Yeah.

Anyway! Is anyone doing anything nice? I've decided I'm trying a new positive thinking approach. I will not end up back in hospital. I will get over this hurdle soon. I will be back to my normal self eventually. I will have a happy and healthy baby in October.

Mileymoocow · 26/03/2016 11:32

lisa yes!!! I get a stabby pain too. And also my bum hole is sore! Isn't pregnancy lush. Also, also... I have actual dark hair under my belly button! Only about 6 or 7 but wtf.

Jamjar12 · 26/03/2016 11:35

Following the theme of TMI lol, is excess ear wax a pregnancy thing? Just casually wiggled a cotton bud in my ear (yes, I was brought up better than that) and yuck!!

ImpYCelyn · 26/03/2016 11:36

Oh Shelb that's exciting!!

Lisa I got those sharp twangs in the last two pgs - mw told me it was ligaments stretching.

Starky oral thrush is horrid Sad I hope it clears up soon!

I had nipple thrush when I was bfing, you need cream for it.

Thanks for the welcome everyone Grin

ImpYCelyn · 26/03/2016 11:40

Miley we've got friends visiting this weekend which will be lovely. Except I can't drink lol. And I'm trying to get the house tidy and feel like I'm about to pass out.

When I was trying to stay positive last time I tried to find nice things to do to get ready for the baby... So buying small, not too spensive baby things online. And mentally planning how I'd organise everything (I like organising, the storage section of ikea is like a paradise on earth to me Hmm)

ElleSarcasmo · 26/03/2016 11:42

Hello! Nice to finally see you all Smile lovely to hear how you're getting on.

Elle
Age 34

I'm oscillating between being super excited and super terrified that it will all go wrong!

ElleSarcasmo · 26/03/2016 11:43

Congratulations Impy Flowers

Mileymoocow · 26/03/2016 11:51

jam it has to be. That and snot. I have a lot of snot.

Hi impy! Nice to see another familiar name. I'm definitely keeping myself occupied by online browsing. So many cute baby stuffs ❤ I'm looking for a bouncer at the moment. Everything is as organised as can be. I have FIL in when I'm back to work painting the entire upstairs including the nursery which I'm excited about.

Peaches8Posies · 26/03/2016 12:01

Morning ☺

miley the first time I was pregnant I was ill, and yes I questioned why I was choosing to do this on many occasions. I lost count of the amount of times I said it's all worth it in the end, and it is. And I'm here doing it again so don't worry it gets better. ❤

Hi imp hope you have a healthy 8 months ☺

jam yes! I done the exact same thing yesterday and was amazed/ grossed out with what came out. Thought it was just my body deciding to through in a random freaky pregnancy thing. Glad I'm not alone.

lara yes, stick away some easter treats and indulge when you'll enjoy them. In the meantime time get yourself something to binge watch on Sunday, a little box set or some cheesy feel good movies and enjoy a nice relaxing day.

lisa iv had a couple of sharp pains on right side during the night. Dont know if it's because my bladder always seem full (I need to wee a lot during the night) or if iv been sleeping too long in the one position and it's just a reaction to me stretching to turning around? As long as it's not prolonged I think it should be okay.

starky aww, that's sounds painfull. What about corsodyl mouth wash? Might kill of the yucky stuff. I swear by it if I feel any soreness flaring up in my mouth.

shelb yeh first kick 😊

Sorry if iv missed anything, lots and lots to catch up on this morning ☺

ImpYCelyn · 26/03/2016 12:08

Thanks Elle, congrats to you too!! ThanksThanks

Miley that sounds great! I might try to persuade dh this is a good opportunity to redecorate too! I still have almost everything from 1&2, so don't really need to buy anything, just replace some of what I gave away. I'm trying to console myself by thinking about how much money that won't cost me Grin(and that I can finally buy a Tripp Trapp high chair!) I'm going to get one or two nice things though. Tragically I can't wait til I'm far enough on I can get out all the clothes boxes and start cataloging what I have and what I need...
