Oh Mardy. Thinking of you.Hoping for a positive outcome.

I'm just popping on to say I'm still about and PG. Was away for Xmas so couldn't keep up with posting. Congrats to all who've had their little ones.(Olihan,I thought we had a deal)

Take care everyone.

satinshoes · 30/12/2006 08:26

Mardy - just posted on postnatal thread. My thoughts are with you and your family.

Calmriver · 30/12/2006 17:34

Come on girlies...popping time! Tomorrow is New Years EVE!!!They going to be little CAPRICORNS!!!!!

Indith · 30/12/2006 17:43

I know! Pretty safe to say we all want to pop I imagine!

Thurs-curry followed by nipple stimulation. resulted in a couple of twinges but that was all.
Fri-bored therefore spent most of afternoon and evening in front of TV bouncing and rocking on my birth ball getting in a fair amount of nipple massage and then persuaded DP to a little action but apart from one fairly painful twing this morning nothing!

I bet someone told this baby it was cold outside........

I seriously feel for all those that went/have gone really overdue.

spina · 30/12/2006 21:59

still nothing happening here except my bp has shot up to 147/84. (from 110/60) but since I've measured it myself "it doesn't count." I've got "patient induced high blood pressure" according to the midwife who was actually civil to me today. Actually it's patient RECORDED high bp. Mu machine has been relible the whole way through but now that it's actually giving less than brill numbers, the NHS has decided that "those things arn't reliable".

I'm half tempted to go in and waste their time hooking me up to a montior rather than trying to take responsibility for my health and utilise my training.(Not that you need a degree in pharmacy to use a bp machine)

Oh.Sorry. Can you tell I'm a bit pissed off. I woke up with a splitting headache this morning, have measured my bp at least seven times today(relaxing, not having eaten, etc, etc) and I'm two days off 41 weeks. Is it the end of the world for them to check me out and give me the pessary (Just to shut me up)?

And why does everyone ask me if it's my first as if

  1. THAT would explain everything
  2. it makes any differance to the fact that my bp has shot up!!!

Sorry to whinge. I'm at the stage where I'm happy for lo to show up when he's ready(HONEST,but I wouldn't say no to any time now) but I've gotton through two pregnancies without any problems. I'd like to get to the end of this one with my baby in as good a situation as poss.

spina · 31/12/2006 16:21

just had a bit of a show I think. Thought my waters had gone but all I've got is a bit of slightly pink mucus. I feel I've used up all my trips to hospital that don't result in a baby as I've being in three times in two weeks for low fetal movement, suspected rupture of membranes and last night suspected pre-eclempsia(sp?)

So i'm going to sit here till ctrx start(which may be days) or something gones dodgy(hope not).

Feel really calm about when lo turns up as I've realised it WILL be within the next week most likely, so by next Sunday I should be a mum of two!

Take care all.

xxx

accessorizechristmas · 31/12/2006 16:24

go spina!

Indith · 31/12/2006 16:41

Still pg

not a single twinge today and I've been on 2 good fast paced walks!

Does the daft little baby not realise coming out and being cuddled by mummy and daddy is far btter than getting over cooked and wrinkled in all that fluid he is swimming in?

No?

Didn't think so

spina · 31/12/2006 17:32

no twinges here either and I'm really beginning to wonder if my waters have gone. I'm currently refusing to go to hospital in case they send me home again and I HATE being a serial offender when it comes to turning up with no sign of labour!

Have just gone for a walk but the rain was awful and I felt another gush of ????whatever. So i'm balacing on the birth ball,a callipyllum pill dissolving in my mouth, hoping that at least if I start to get ctrx i can go in to hosp in the next 24 hours. I really don't want to wait more than that with potential ruptured membranes!!!

I actally thought at one point last night that this was it, I can't go through another pg with this hopping back and forth to hosp. And I really want three children!

Indith · 31/12/2006 17:35

Think I'm off for a bath then it will be an evening of sitting on my ball watching a good film and massaging my nipples! (now in what other situation could that possibly be classed as 'clean'?). See if I can get a massage out of DP later with my clary sage.

Debbsyandson · 31/12/2006 17:54

Spina sounds promising keep me updated good luck xx

stokeymonkey · 31/12/2006 18:05

hey all,

still pg too, and hating every second!
No show yet, but have got a constant low-level period pain and terrible backache and feel really grouchy and teary.

Anyone think this could be the start of something?
Someone say something positive PLEASE!!!

stokeymonkey · 31/12/2006 18:07

oh, and good luck Spina - hope this is it!

accessorizechristmas · 31/12/2006 20:36

stokey, i had that before i went into labour...you never know!

spina · 01/01/2007 04:04

stokey, that's how labour1 started. didn't have a show until i was having reg ctrx.

i've been to hosp to get the waters checked out. m/w wasn't 100% sure (what else lots of gushing pink/straw coloured liquid that i have no control of could be is beyond me) However she's happy to go with the theory it is membranne rupture. Hooray!!!!Went home.

Following her examination, I had ctrx starting at 5mins apart and getting to 3 mins apart.(at which point I was getting worried we'd have to get DS1 up and drag him to hosp) then my ILs turned up and everything calmed down Not their fault obviously!

don't want to tempt fate but I'm up cos I can't sleep(still having a few whoppers of ctrx), but they going to induce me(or speed things up) at 8 tommorrow! Don't really want to be induced, but dont want to go around with ruptured membranes either and it will mean I finally get to meet him.

Stokey and Indith, will you be joining me in the "Dec,but actually New Years DAy gang"!! Gosh I hope I do have LO later today!!

I'll obviously keep you all posted.

Indith · 01/01/2007 09:33

Good luck Spina!! Sounding good!

Think I'm heading for 'should have been December but looking at well into January.' Managed a couple more painful twinges last night but thats it.

May have to kill the next person who asks me if I've had it yet. Would kill DP next time he asks me 'is the baby coming yet?' but I'll need someone to grab onto in labour!

Indith · 01/01/2007 12:02

Ok I know I'm stupidly pregnant and fed up but is that really reason enough to start crying while playing tetris? Makes it very hard to see the blocks.

Maybe the rest of a chocolate santa will help.........

Sod all sign yet today.

Indith · 01/01/2007 14:03

Ok one of you had better gt on here or I'm going to start thinking you've gone and started having babies without me!

Seriously frustrated with it today. My French cousin says I should clean the windows to get labour started. Hum. Well I have just done the bathroom. Kitchn neds cleaning next so hey if I'm on a role I might well! May get laughed at by DP though.....

bewilderbeast · 01/01/2007 14:10

Indith, I'm sorry you feel so frustrated, I hope baby shows up soon. I have no advice I'm afraid and I don;t want to say hang in there cos it won't make you feel any better so get hod of that chocolate santa and eat his legs!!!!!! hugs

Indith · 01/01/2007 14:14

The feet are all that is left

Just have to keep repeating "by a week on Friday I am guaranteed a baby one way or the other"

And I do hope things are moving for Spina and Stokey really!

jabberwocky · 01/01/2007 14:15

Just had to pop in and say hi! to you guys.

spina, they did that with me both times (checking waters). Especially the last it seemed pretty silly as it was literally going everywhere! Even the nurse was a bit embarrassed that she had to do it b/c it was quite obvious. Evidently a procedural thing

bwb, come and join us on the post-natal thread. I was just wondering yesterday how you and lo were doing.
