Hi all, I've also been experiencing the night time thirst and peeing - about three times a night. Generally get back to sleep but quite broken sleep - lots of dreams, waking up, etc., so am feeling quite knackered. Have started having afternoon naps now that the hols have begun. Melvali, hopefully you'll fit in a few two while you're off work!

Mascara, I also get the sharp pains in side when turning over in bed. Think it was mentioned by others earlier on in the thread too. Have almost stopped worrying about it now. Almost Wink

We would have done the Harmony, as I'm 38 and I've read that it is so much more accurate than the NHS tests, but money is very tight just now as DH is in between jobs. We paid for a private Nuchal scan so that we could tell our families over the holidays, but couldn't stretch to the Harmony. Perhaps if I am lucky enough to get pregnant again it will be available on the NHS by then!

Speaking of which, they were really quite positive about us having our blood test results back before Christmas. But we've heard nothing! I'm a nervous wreck, checking my phone every 5 minutes.

Your Christmas plans all sound lovely! I'm off to church on on my own in a couple of hours - DH & family aren't into any of that unfortunately for me. Then things should be fairly festive here after that.

Am so annoyed though - my nausea has come back today with a vengeance, right when I am in someone else's house, everyone is jolly, and there is loads of rich food!

Have a lovely time everyone. Just think how different things will be for us this time next year, all going well!

12 weeks today Xmas Smile

mascaraisamust · 24/12/2015 17:26

Gnatt that's reassuring to know! Tiredness has just hit me midway through the day just as I needed to start prepping dinner, just been to bed for a nap! Now trying to find the energy to get up and do something, gosh I feel such a bore! I have been invited out for dinner, drinks etc but can't even be bothered to hoover let alone get myself ready! The most exciting things today was eating a cheese and pickle sandwich, the pickle was divine!!! DH didn't quite understand my happiness of actually enjoying eating something. Nearly 10 weeks here now. Gnatt I can't wait to get to the 12 week mark! Another milestone Smile

Ladies it's been an absolute age since I posted on here, have been away with work and then too tired to post (I kept trying to catch up on what I'd missed but then fell asleep every time)!

I think I'm pretty up to date with all your news though now. Was v sad to read about Loki and hope she's ok. Beautician hope all good with you after your tumble too.

Brilliant to see so many scan pictures on here! We had ours today and was amazing to see the bean on the screen, jumping and wriggling. DH didn't realise they move so early so think he was pretty choked up!

I am supposed to be doing some last minute present wrapping while DH is out getting MIL...but soooo tired, anyone else wishing for some magic elves to come along and just have everything ready? (Even better if they could do that while I'm having a nap...)

I love Christmas and am super excited...last one before all us first-timers lives change forever....

BelOfTheBall79 · 24/12/2015 17:49

Here is the scan pic. My dad wrote back to the email I sent with it on saying "no idea what goes where"! He was super chuffed though when I explained...

redstrawberries101 · 24/12/2015 20:07

Aww lovely pic! I really wish DH would agree and have an early scan. 8th Jan seems an age away X

Cheery1 · 24/12/2015 20:22

Merry Christmas lovely ladies. Thanks for all the wonderful support. Here's to a happy, healthy 2016 Xmas Smile xx

gnat99 · 24/12/2015 22:48

Mascara, hope you got a second wind this evening! I've just finished all our wrapping. Phew! Sadly the elves didn't materialise, but DH helped.

Bel, delighted your scan went well. Gorgeous picture!

Merry Christmas ladies Xmas Smile

beckslovestimmy · 24/12/2015 23:00

Merry Christmas to all you lovely ladies. I'm fighting to stay awake with a heavy head cold while on nights as a nurse. So tired and another 9 hours to go. Can't wait to see DD's face in the morning when she sees Father Christmas has been. Hope you all have lovely relaxing family days.

mascaraisamust · 24/12/2015 23:48

I got my second wind Gnatt! Went out for the meal, ate it all (achievement), enjoyed it (achievement) and I've only just got back from being the designated driver! Now time to sleep. This could be our last Xmas on our own, eek!! Wishing you all a very merry Xmas.

wantingno2 · 24/12/2015 23:56

Merry Christmas everyone hope you all have a lovely day xxx

Merry Christmas from Canada, ladies! No white Christmas for me this year (le sigh) but plenty of snuggles from the nephews makes up for the dreary weather.

Our 5 1/2 year old nephew knows we're pregnant, but we haven't told my grandparents yet. I imagine the cat might get let out of the bag tomorrow at the big family dinner. I'm not bothered about it, though. If we really wanted to keep it secret, we wouldn't have told a 5 year old! Also, I think he already told his kindergarten class. And his other grandparents. My mom accidentally announced it at the supermarket when trying to convince me to buy the healthy organic pasta when all I wanted was Kraft Dinner White Cheddar (so good, guys). "But you should get the organic one because you're pregnant!" She shouted down the aisle. The middle aged lady looking at pickles turned to me a big smile and said "congratulations!" while Mom let loose an expletive or two as she hadn't meant to blurt it out!

9+2 today.

Scase1firsttimemum · 25/12/2015 08:13

Wow just realized I havent been on here for a while, been so busy!

Loki I am so sorry to hear of your sad news, what an awful thing :( thinking of youThanks

And getting up to pee in horrid hours in the night is all too familiar here as well! It was worse when I was earlier into the pregnancy I was up 2-3 times a night to pee -.- but now its either not at all or just once but closer to the time my alarm goes of which is really annoying because then I dont sleep and have to get up for work ughh..

Anyway.. Merry Christmas ladies, i hope you all have a lovely day and get spoilt rotten as you all deserve it carrying these little ones :) [santa]

Merry Christmas everyone! Santa bought me a few things a size or two bigger than my normal clothing...! Hope you all have a lovely day [santa]

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 25/12/2015 15:08

Merry Christmas everyone. Having a great time. But I look and feel like a cross between Mr Blobby and the Marshmallow Man. I'm soooo FAT

redstrawberries101 · 25/12/2015 15:43

Loll!!! I'm sure that's not true... I woke up with a heavy head and it's just banging now. I've not taken anything but might just have paracetamol.

Been meaning to ask and sorry if it's TMI but I am having quite a lot of discharge. Just clear looking but been having it for a few weeks. Sort of like how you get it during your cycle. Anyone else experiencing this? For the first couple weeks I was very dry down there so it's quite a change.

Also my left breast is more tender/ nipple tingles more and last week I even noticed it had leaked very slightly??

MissClarke86 · 25/12/2015 17:36

Merry Christmas everyone. Hope you've all had a lovely day.

Santa bought me a wedding proposal and a diamond ring! Xmas Smile

YouAndMeAreGoingToFallOut · 25/12/2015 17:47

Oh that's so lovely - congratulations MissClarke!
*
Melvali* - not to put too fine a point on it I've got what sometimes feels like rivers of discharge! It's not cloudy or smelly though, so I'm not worried about it. It's annoying though.

I hope everyone is having a nice day. I'm so glad I'm almost 14 weeks now and feeling much better than I was: if Christmas had fallen when I was 8-10 weeks I was feeling so horrendous I wouldn't have enjoyed it at all. I'm not even missing the booze too much!

Pinseyboo38 · 25/12/2015 18:27

Beautician, I feel your pain, I'm only 12 weeks but definitely have a bump although I know it's not baby and more bloat lol. Have taken to just wearing longer tops and leaving my trousers undone lol.
Congratulations Miss Clarke, double excitement for you xxx
Hope everyone is having a wonderful day xx

redstrawberries101 · 25/12/2015 18:42

Congratulations miss Clarke!!!

So I've just had a tiff with my mum as she said she is a 'little concerned' that I've not had strong symptoms. I've had nausea and tiredness which both come and go in waves but that's it really.

I've already been worrying because of my medical history and how my body will cope/react and now she has just added to it. Scan is 2 weeks today. It won't be the end of the world if it doesn't work out, I understand these things happen but I would just rather know ASAP and deal with it sooner rather than later.

10+3

BelOfTheBall79 · 25/12/2015 19:18

Wow, congrats missclarke!

Melvali try not to worry too much. My mum had zero symptoms with me whereas my best friend was SO sick with her first. So everyone is different. Hopefully your scan soon will give you peace of mind. Emotions run high at Christmas too, just say you're v tired and take yourself off for a nap!

redstrawberries101 · 25/12/2015 21:41

Thanks bel Smile

Gx91 · 26/12/2015 07:52
