PRIVATE SCANS??? HELP ANYBODY!!

Has anybody paid for a private scan and how do you go about it?
We live in spain and have no idea what to do here! but am coming backt to the uk between the 26th -3rd jan so was wondeirng if i could pay for one?!?!?!

I had one at 13 weeks - a Nuchal Scan. I googled for screening centres close to me that did them, then rang up and made an appointment.

Not sure about spain, but there are lots of clinics over here that offer private scans. You can contact them directly to book. All depends on where you are and how many weeks you are. babybond have clinics accross the country, thats who I used for mine. Also private hopitals offer them.. nuffield/bupa etc.

Never done this myself, but you could maybe just call or email a private hospital (I would try The Portland) and see if they can fit you in. The Portland website has a list of individual prices for scans, so I would imagine they could accomodate this kind of thing. Their contact details are here .

Are you having ante-natal care in Spain? Do they not do routine scans there? (Lucy5 or SenoraPostrophe would be able to help, as they have both recently been PG and live in Spain)

It might be difficult getting a scan arranged in UK between Christmas and New Year though.

They were brilliant with me and the scan was so clear. They hardly had to tell me the sex of the twins. On Harley St London.

Try Create health also in harley street or Veralum clinic St Albans. I had scan at both clinics 3d/4d scan which are amazing. The Professor Campbell at Create Health helped develope this scanning system.
