I don't think there is a thread for the July moms yet!
I'm due on July 2nd, just 4.5wks at the mo, but feel like I've known for ages as got a positive 5 days early on an early response! No real symptoms so far just a bit of cramping and some instant extra weightHalloween Biscuit.
This is dc3 for us. Haven't made any appointments yet. Looking forward to the next 8 months!

Hi everyone would love some quick advice! I always take my little niece ice skating each year. Last month (before finding out I was pregnant) we arranged to go later this month. I'll be 8+2 by the time we go... Do you guys think it is ok?

Online guidance says ok until 12 weeks so maybe I'm just being a bit over cautious? Xx

EllieJayJay · 12/11/2015 13:13

Ladies who are investing in the worlds best nipple cream, overnight did not wake up due to sore nipples!!! (Squashes boob yes nipples no) applied this morning and again at lunch and my nipples hurt significantly less! £12 very very well spent :)

Board is filling up I think it stops at 40?? So when we get to 39 we will need to start a July (2) and post a link so we don't loose each other xx

Hope Jade is ok, very worried about her and welcome any new ladies

Hating being in the office today!! Swear people think I've had a boob job!!

Inbetween losing my phone and a feverish 19 month old I didnt sleep much 2 nights ago, what takes the biscuit is a touch of insomnia like some of you have said but also the bloody peeing, driving me mad.

I have an appt with dr on 26th as they cant do any earlier its with the public system 8im in portugal and they dont have midwifes like the UK. We have insurance so will probably get an appointment with private as well just so I can pop along there if I have issues that arise as appointments at drs are so hard to come by an 15 euros a go is nothing really. There were no issues at all last pregnancy, so hoping all goes the same.

No morning sickness to speak of as such but the fatigue is a b**h very annoying even if slept ok.

I can only log on in evenings and random times im at a computer like now. I guess my xmas prezzie is sorted however.

EllieJayJay · 12/11/2015 13:57

No morning sickness here either Vicky, but constant fatigue!!! Gone from a night owl to passing out at 9pm! Sometimes 10pm dependant on naps...

2pm now and am struggling to keep awake! Meeting now and I'm sure I'm going to fall sleep

Wish me luck X

SoniaShoe · 12/11/2015 14:17

Mmmm Starbucks are now doing a ginger cake slice. Ginger good for morning sickness (my excuse anyway) and its really nice. A replacement for the red wine calories I'm not getting.

My morning sickness tip of the day!

mackinnonka · 12/11/2015 14:17

Hi ladies

Congratulations everyone!

Positive test last week, first pregnancy so pretty nervous! I'm guessing an early/mid July due date but not 100%, seeing GP at the weekend.

Has anyone told their friends/family yet? It's so hard to keep quiet!!

Hamsolo · 12/11/2015 14:36

I love Starbucks ginger cake. It's a real guilty pleasure for me too!

I have a strong sense of smell now too. When people come back inside from having a cigarette the smell makes me gag!

EllieJayJay · 12/11/2015 15:44

Discovered I can't be near popcorn!

Ooo that sounds nice!!!

I've gone off meat... Except sweet and sour chicken balls or Hong Kong style chicken... Packet meat/raw meat can even look at!

Sense of smell is really over whelming. Sorry tmi but was dealing with a number 2 clean up from dd2 (failed potty training, joy) and the smell really was ten times worse than usual. I think it's natures way of keeping you away from 'bad things'. Eg making sure you were to smell if food or milk was off?!
But it's not fun.

Three more spots today to add to my collection. I will need to buy more concealer by the weekend Blush

Mmm sonia the cake sounds incredible and now it's all I can think about! I dislike Starbucks coffee even more now I'm preg.. I'm a costa girl. Will have to get some to take away...
lollipop I was wondering the same about ice skating. My logic was that it's the size of a grain of rice right now and not going to be terribly much bigger... I for one have a lot of um padding...

Loki17 · 12/11/2015 17:45

I can't stop eating halloumi cheese and caramelised onion chutney. I've gone off everything sweet unless it's fruit. Chocolate is the most disgusting thing in the whole world. Anything creamy like yoghurt, milk or cream cheese makes me want to puke!

YouAndMeAreGoingToFallOut · 12/11/2015 18:10

I haven't really noticed the sense of smell thing, but then I already had a really really good sense of smell, so maybe that's why!

Loki17 · 12/11/2015 18:12

I haven't noticed an increased sense of small either. I did with dd but this time smells just make me feel sick.

Peyia · 12/11/2015 18:17

Ellie sorry where do you paste the list hon?

I don't have any cravings and not feeling too bad at the moment! Hope everything is well though...

My dd is my limpit, she wants to be carried everywhere and I'm nervous of straining things down there. When will the worry end??!!

Peyia · 12/11/2015 18:19

I've always been a hound for smells but last pregnancy was torture for DH as I forever complained about odours...

allthegoodnamesalreadytaken · 12/11/2015 18:33

Welcome mackinonka! It's my first as well so we're in the same boat. Lots of good info on this thread already from the more experienced ladies so we know what to expect. Haven't told our family as yet. Waiting until the first scan to confirm everything is all ok first. I probably will pay for a private scan just before Xmas (will be 10.5 weeks by then) and then do the big Xmas reveal. It will be the first grandchild for my side of the family so expecting lots of squeals and "it's about time" type comments.

Mel I'm looking forward to taking walks in the summer although I'm not sure how I will get out of the house with all 4 of the children at home in the summer holidays.

Ellizardo I'm already thinking about what pushchair I would like. Is that wrong?

Lollipop pretty sure you will be ok with ice skating is baby is sooo tiny right now. Ds3 has head butted me right in my bits today twice. I really felt it but I'm not worried as according to Ovia baby is the size of a chocolate chip today at week six.

My sense of smell has increased. DH eats a lot of garlic it's not nice.

Four where abouts in the midlands are you?

Hi ladies sorry for the radio silence. Well went out for a walk with my boss (working in the new forest most meetings involve walking round ponies) and told him I'm pregnant. Last two weeks I've been horribly horribly ill. Nausea nonstop and I'm snappy at work as a result.

We actually went walking talking about all the work we have on (he likes chats and completely forgot why I asked him out there) then I dropped in a "by the way sorry for being so off lately, morning sickness has been so bad so telling you a few weeks early" took a few seconds for him to click but all went well and we got back to chatting about our toddlers. Phew!

EllieJayJay · 12/11/2015 19:59

Good news photographer! Sorry it's so tough for you xx just noticed your not too far from me :)

Peyia just add yourself and post here in the comments :) you don't have too of course but it's nice to see everyone / know who's due the same date as you :) were becoming quite a group now xx

I am home after an office day, yuck yuck yuck people smells are vile to me - and rather stroppily said " can we not bash the nice pregnant lady please who is just trying to get on this tube!" at a very rude man who pushed past me and hit my right boob (bloody big enough you could see these things from space) he just shrugged and huffed at me - so I called him a wanker - I've never done this in my life but it felt jolly good :)
