I don't think there is a thread for the July moms yet!
I'm due on July 2nd, just 4.5wks at the mo, but feel like I've known for ages as got a positive 5 days early on an early response! No real symptoms so far just a bit of cramping and some instant extra weightHalloween Biscuit.
This is dc3 for us. Haven't made any appointments yet. Looking forward to the next 8 months!

Hello!

Well that was a fun school run! Felt fine this morning, had a couple of cups of tea then went on the school run - massive wave of nausea in the playground, chatting to people and not letting on was fun - felt like swaying with the strength of it. Then walked home (live quite close) and ran the last wee bit as I was retching and my mouth was all full of saliva. Ran into the house and retched for ages - I don't think there was anything to bring up. Still feel queasy but feel better now after some Special K - my instinct was telling me to eat as my tummy was empty. I would like to take the day off sick, but I'm a bit behind at work just now so had better power through!

In other news, DH has bought one of those scented room things for our bedroom, its sickly sweet berry smell and its driving me mad. I put it outside the cat flap late last night.

EllieJay - is this your first baby? That sounds like an amazing birthday treat!

Lucky - my scan is the same day as yours, yahoo! Hopefully nice news to see in 2016 for both of us!

Happy birthday for yesterday, Ellie!

I am just coming to the end of my vile cough and cold, and had a bit of a surprise this morning in the shower when my nose finally cleared... I could not believe how strong my shampoo smelled! Or the conditioner! And even now, I can still smell it in my hair! It's not overwhelming or awful, it's just the fact that I can smell it so clearly, if that makes sense? How funny!

Happy birthday elliejayjay for yesterday! Sounds like you had an amazing day even with all the emotions!

Thanks to those ladies who posted about lemon curd yesterday, it's now all I want for breakfast!! I am having weird cravings...corned beef sandwiches with Wotsits being my current favourite.

I haven't got my booking in appt yet, I am guessing after my 7 week scan with the IVF clinic I will get handed over to my GP and that will kick start all those sorts of things. But it sounds like all you guys are on that already!

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 10/11/2015 11:59

Happy Belated birthday Ellie. I have taken your advice and ordered a couple of maternity bras. I went for new look ones. I measured myself and got 34E. I don't feel quite that big but I have those annoying boobs that look like they are running away from each other.Grin

Thank you to those who gave me a good virtual slap yesterday. I did my final frer test this morning and the line came up with seconds and is darker than the control line. I've decided that the cheapie tests are just too close to being out of date so they are unreliable and are just making me panic so I've thrown them away. No more poas. I didn't get many symptoms when pregnant with dd and I think this pregnancy is following suit. Last week my boobs were agony and I did feel really nauseous which has tapered off a bit but I think that my body is just adjusting. I can't remember having a strong sense of smell after my bfp last time and this time the smell thing seems to have settled too. My boobs are back to being sore again today so I think I need to accept my symptoms will waiver. I'm going to be positive! I've booked in with the midwife, we are planning a scan at ten weeks. I'm going to daydream about telling dd and our parents at Christmas instead of worrying.Smile

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 10/11/2015 13:40

Loki it's so difficult. I'm still panicking at not a lot of symptoms and I've done this 3 times before. I didn't have many symptoms at the start of my last pregnancy. We need to try and relax and enjoy it. These first few weeks go so slow whilst we wait for midwife appointments and scans. Hopefully with it being almost Christmas we will all have that to focus on as well to help pull us all out of the panic that is being pregnant Smile

Bluebell20 · 10/11/2015 13:41

Nice one, Loki! I was really tempted to POAS yesterday when I wasn't feeling very pregnant at all, but I didn't... If something's wrong, I'll find out when I find out. And in the meantime, no news is good news!

I too am daydreaming about Christmas announcements... DH suggested yesterday that we give a Christmas card to his parents, signed from the two of us and 'bump'! I quite like that idea. My dad lives abroad so it will have to be a Skype reveal for him...

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 10/11/2015 13:49

Bluebell & Loki I'm constantly thinking of the Christmas announcement too. I think I've decided on cards with the 3 boys dressed smartly with Santa hats on and Ds 3 holding a chalkboard saying something like "we are going to be big brothers. July 2016". Then inside I will get a print of the scan.

If I don't get my scan before Christmas I'm going to have to pay for one privately.

Hello I might gatecrash here a little bit if I may. Due 26th June but closer in "weeks" to some of you on here (7+1 now). Wishing you an uneventful 9 months ahead :)

photographerlady · 10/11/2015 14:27

dollydaydream84 welcome

xmas card I am planning on putting the scan photo in my parents xmas card that they will open when I am there on xmas day.

I folded today big time, I am now on the gingernuts. Nausea got the best of me today.

beckslovestimmy · 10/11/2015 14:29

Hi dolly were due date buddies!!

Loki17 · 10/11/2015 14:39

We are giving mum and mil their annual photo calender of dd with a mini copy of the scan attached to The 15th of July and a caption saying 'Due today!' we give them the calenders every year - they have become a bit of a standing joke - so it will be a lovely surprise.

I've worked on that basis too, Indians so our parents already know. My boss also now knows as the dashing off to keep chucking up was a bit of a giveaway.

Cookiesandcoffee · 10/11/2015 15:59

Happy Birthday for yesterday ellie minus the tears sounds lovely!
Waves to newbies - Yey wanting you were on the Oct thread! Congratulations!!
Got in from the school run and made their dinner already, and I've literally just scoffed half of it. I think I did it sub consciously. Garlic bread is my #1 favourite thing to eat at the mo apparently. I wish I could stop eating. As much as I'm grateful I'm not throwing up, this appetite is less than ideal.
Symptom-wise I have a beard of spots all around my chin and jaw line, and resemble an adolescent spotty teenager. Humpf.

foobio · 10/11/2015 16:02

This thread moves too fast for me to keep up - congratulations newbies and sorry to all those feeling rubbish, hope you find something that helps soon. Someone asked what others could face for breakfast - at the moment its just plain hulahoops for me until much later in the morning! I have touchwood escaped MS so far, but there is a fine balance from feeling queasy on an empty stomach and feeling queasy on a full stomach.

Bluebell and Ellie - my nose has just cleared after a cold too and I have the supersmell powers. London stinks! As do our fridge, dishwasher, microwave and bins - blergh - but luckily DH has been reading up on pregnancy and is happy for me to keep my distance (how long can I make this last?!)

My problem is now commuting - nearly fainted on a packed train yesterday (smelly man with smelly red bull) and had to push through the crowds and ask for a seat Blush. Feels too early when I sometimes bump into people I know on the train, but have ordered a baby on board badge for an excuse in these situations.

Thanks for the flu jab reminder Jem01 - really quick and easy and free at Boots. Any my husband can stop nagging me now!

Silly GP still haven't put my registration through the system, so I don't even have an appointment yet, let alone a scan. Like the idea of a scan photo Christmas card, but no way I'll have it in time for the last post, so I might have to encourage technophobe relations to embrace Skype!

foobio · 10/11/2015 16:04

Forgot to add...
6+1 (but feel like that's cheating as I think I ov'd late...)

beckslovestimmy · 10/11/2015 16:35

Midwife appointment booked for Monday when I'll be 8+1. Hoping I might be able to have the same midwife as I did with DD.

Loki17 · 10/11/2015 18:02

The only reason we haven't told our parents is because we haven't told dd. don't want to tell dd until the scan and not risking mil or mum blabbing. dd is 4 and very astute so she'd know if people talked about it around her. I'd tell them if something went wrong still. I can't wait to tell dd!

Jem01 · 10/11/2015 18:32

Happy birthday for yesterday ellie!

Had a call from my hospital today they've moved my 12 week scan date as they worked out on 18 Dec I won't be quite ready for it yet. Now my scan has been moved to 4th Jan, right after Christmas! Was so looking forward to it before Christmas and telling family. I might have to book a private scan after all.

Bel when is your 7 week scan? Mine is at my IVF clinic at the end of November.

Also sorry for all those feeling ill. My symptoms are still sore boobs, tiredness and big increase in appetite!

EllieJayJay · 10/11/2015 18:46

Been sleeping on and off today was lovely to come back on and see all the birthday messages :) thank you ladies xx really was a lovely time despite the crying DP really has been wonderful :) stayed in a beautiful beautiful hotel and had an amazing breakfast this morning, was spoilt rotten

Can't remember who asked but yes DC1 for me :) spoke to midwife this morning and still won't get to see her until I'm over 9 weeks, but she suggested seeing my doctor before and told me she has already scheduled an appointment with a consultant for me - she seems very on the ball, kind and Carring so I'm pleased with this. Still going for an early scan which I'm booking tomorrow as my boobs are still bloody growing and I'm constantly tired, with my age, family history I think there may well be more than one sprout "sprouting"

on bras I found my M&S bras amazingly comfortable but a little lacking in the sexy... Having packed up all my beautiful bras up I felt a bit disappointed in the HUGE boulder holders left lol... So consulted the WWW and Found uk.hotmilklingerie.com/?gclid=CPHtvpfBhskCFUgTwwoduuQDQA don't be put off by the name some lovely bras in their that are a bit more sexy - the ones I ordered on Sunday arrived today and are actually very pretty and comfortable.

EllieJayJay · 10/11/2015 18:50

Foobio - we were in London last night and I work in the city - so glad I moved to the "country"before this happened I think I would have been house bound

Am dreading getting on tube on Thursday with the great unwashed - however... My bump badge should arrive any day now :D and whilst not showing (bloated like mad) I have hideous ankles and constantly dizzy on my feet so am going to be making full use of the badge of power!!!

EllieJayJay · 10/11/2015 18:52

I keep forgetting to add stuff! Last one promise

I am ADICTED to garlic bread!! With salad cream :) I live far to close to a dominos with this obsession... That and gherkins, beetroot and crumpets
