Anyone else with a super faint BFP showing a due date for June 2016?

Got a barely there, second line on Sunday but has taken me this long (and 6 more tests Blush ) to accept that I am finally pregnant again after my mmc in April. Sooooooo excited. Anyone else on the preggers boat with me? :)

Oh mrsmugoo it is such a worrying time isn't it? I have friends who have had 2 or even 3 children with no losses. I don't think everyone has them. It doesn't make the anxiety any easier though. Flowers

jbiscuits · 06/10/2015 13:38

Just made my booking in appointment. It won't be until 10 weeks though because they couldn't fit me in until 9 weeks, but we're away. Last time the midwife made my scan appointment at the booking in, so hopefully this will still be the same and there'll be enough notice. At least it will be the week my mum is visiting so she can look after DS1.

Violet88 · 06/10/2015 13:42

London I didn't know what to do either as it's first baby, but spoke to my Dr's receptionist today about when I needed to see someone. She said 16 weeks!! I was a little taken aback and said "but don't people normally have a scan at 12 weeks?" And only then she said "oh yeah you need to refer yourself to the hospital you want to have the baby at?" I asked when and she said "you can do that whenever". Its a good job I wasn't completely clueless and just took her first answer and did nothing for 16 weeks!

But anyway I now have an initial midwife appointment on the 16th of October at Liverpool Womens Hospital. I didn't think it would be so soon, I will only be 5wks4 then!!

Violet88 · 06/10/2015 13:43

Biscuits is mine ridiculously early then do you know??

nehagarg · 06/10/2015 13:52

Mine is around the same time as jbiscuits .. booking scan at 10weeks. Scan at 11. Yours seems quite early violet but hospitals seem to operate in very different ways up and down the country.

Glad you didn't listen to the receptionist. Can't believe she said 16 weeks! You would have been too late for a bunch of tests that need doing between 10-13 weeks!

Violet that does sound early, but it may just be when they can fit you in. It's an hour appointment so if they're particularly busy, or only do appointment s on certain days they may have decided to see you earlier rather than later. They don't do anything other than ask lots of questions about family medical history etc, so it won't matter being early.

tigress23 · 06/10/2015 14:27

I've got my booking in appointment now too. It's on 30 October, which means I'll be 9 weeks, but they had nothing before that. I'm told they will request my scan at that appointment. I should get in around the right time, though, because they are really quick to arrange things at my hospital.

I just did my online food shop and looking at a lot of the things we usually eat made me really queasy. I'm fighting the urge to run to the loo and vomit. The start of morning sickness?

MadrigalElectromotive · 06/10/2015 14:38

My booking-in appointment is a week on Thursday, when I will be just shy of 7 weeks. I haven't heard anything about my scan yet so I assume perhaps they arrange that after the booking-in.

tigress I feel similar - and yesterday I felt really sick in the afternoon and knew that the only thing that would get rid of it would be a banana. I don't even like bananas. Confused

tigress23 · 06/10/2015 14:52

Madrigal, isn't it weird what your body craves? I keep craving milk and I don't even like milk. I mean, it's okay on cereal but I'd never drink a glass of it and I have drunk several this past week. This baby clearly takes after my DH, the dairy-lover.

Violet88 · 06/10/2015 15:03

Thinking about it now, she didn't say "booking appointment" but "first appointment". Had a google and google says some places do an appointment before the booking appointment and its called a "first visit" , so maybe its that?

Madrigal I'm another one eating bananas recently, and i thought they were horrible and shouldn't even be classed as a fruit as they are so unlike any other fruit! Now I'm having at least one a day!

nehagarg · 06/10/2015 15:29

Anyone else had constant pain on one side of the abdomen? Cant really call it cramps as it is relentless and I have had it since this morning. Its just at one point but not too painful. Enough for it to remain at the forefront of my mind.

Does anyone else have it? So far, all the pains I have had have come and gone. Today's has stuck.

tigress23 · 06/10/2015 15:43

Nehagarg, I had a pain in my abdomen on my left side, but it was my intestine, as things had been moving very slowly in there. Could it be your bowel, do you think?

nehagarg · 06/10/2015 15:49

Maybe. Its definitely not ectopic as I have already had a scan. Its probably just general niggles but I havent had constant pain in the past.

I've got my booking appointment next Tuesday. I'll be 7w+2. I phoned my doctors to cancel my smear test a couple of weeks ago has I just found out I was pregnant and she booked me in. I then got a email from the midwife the next day with lots of useful info.
tigress23 I'm just like you when it comes to milk but baby seems to love it.

tigress23 · 06/10/2015 15:56

Nehagarg, if it is your bowel, it might help to lie of your left side (intestine expert here, as I have IBS/IBD)

Snowflake, one of my friends said her newfound desire for milk only got worse, especially during the phase when baby was building bones. I'll have to start buying more, I guess!

nehagarg · 06/10/2015 16:26

I will try that tonight tigress .. Thanks a lot .. For now, off to see the new movie Martian! Grin

I'm a bit worried that I feel like my symptoms are fading? Does anyone else feel like that? I do feel shattered and my boobs still hurt but the stretching cramps feelings that I had a couple of days ago have now gone Confused
Am I just worrying for no reason?
I hate this it before the first scan, I remember last time driving to the scan feeling that I might have just made the whole thing up and that they would start the ultrasound and then laugh at me saying that I never was even pregnAnt!

MrsSparkles · 06/10/2015 16:40

London I had my first at St Thomas - couldn't fault it. I was in a couple of times before for check ups and there was never any problem. Delivery suites were fine (especially the home from home), there's something magical about watching the sun rise over the Houses of Parliament with your new baby. I felt very reassured being in such a big hospital with so much expertise.

I didn't enjoy postnatal - we were in for 5 days - but I don't think that's particularly common to St Thomas, I think its pretty grotty everywhere. If I was doing it again I'd pay for a private room.

I don't know whereabouts in London you are but if you can get referred to the Community midwives you get consistency of a midwife rather than just who's available. Any other questions give me a shout - and congratulations!

MrsSparkles · 06/10/2015 16:44

I'm off to the doctors tomorrow - a whole new county for me so not sure how it works. Much less nausea the last few days, but still very tired - just trying to take it easy.

Obsessed I also hate the feeling before the scan and not feeling real until then. We've told our parents who were spectacularly unexcited - too many grandchildren now I think.

tigress23 · 06/10/2015 16:49

You're welcome, Nehagarg! Enjoy the film Smile

LondonGirl83 · 06/10/2015 17:01

Thanks MsSparkles that’s really helpful. How much are the private rooms? Can you book them even if you aren’t going fully private?

My GP surgery I’ve realized are useless. The midwife called me and asked me a few basic questions and told me she’d refer me and I’d have an appointment between week 8 and 10. The GP refuses to see people unless there is a complication and send you straight to midwife and the midwife gives you know information at all. I’m reasonably educated but this is my first baby and no one has discussed vitamins, exercise, food etc with me at all, which I’m pretty sure is against NICE guidelines. I’ll figure it out but if I don’t think it’s reasonable to expect all first time mums to be 100% clued up on what they should and shouldn’t be doing for the first 10 weeks of their pregnancy with no guidance when calling heath care professionals.

nehagarg · 06/10/2015 17:07

I agree LondonGirl ... The most important things that should be discussed are not discussed until the first trimester is almost gone and that's the period when most can go wrong.

I phoned the midwives today & got an appointment for 20th October. I have been worrying a bit & ended up in tears at 4.30 this morning ridiculously enough because my boobs didn't feel as sore, I know that sounds pathetic! The only other symptom is feeling thirsty more than normal. I also worried when I got in the shower that my nipples were looking more pink again but I think I'm just a worrier. I've had no pains or bleeding since implantation and boobs feel really sore again now.

With my first I just went to the dr & he referred me to the midwives, I just rang the docs this time & asked if I needed to see the Dr first & she said no & gave me the number for the midwives.

I told my mum today & she was thrilled, the news really cheered her up as she was feeling down about my grandad being poorly. She's going to tell my dad & sister.

Violet88 · 06/10/2015 17:21

London I know what you mean. I'm 27 and reasonably educated too, and I was actively trying to conceive and have researched everything that I should and shouldn't be doing, but I live in what's regarded as a deprived part of Liverpool and it did worry me today at the doctors when the receptionist initially told me I didn't need to do anything for 16 weeks. Was thinking that a lot of young girls from around here, whose pregnancies maybe were unplanned would have just taken that information and not questioned it, because why would you? They probably would not have known to take folic acid or had any idea of what they should or shouldn't be doing for that 16 weeks and then would have missed all the tests!

Violet88 · 06/10/2015 17:25

Tink how many weeks and days will you be when you have your appointment?
