I haven't been on mumsnet at all lately, since the outages/hacking I've been unable to get on via the app and hate coming in through safari so I've more or less given up ????

Popped on today to see how SJD got on on Friday- have we heard from her at all?

How did the wedding go Paper?

Sorry for anyone that's not having a good time. Ginger - it's so worrying. I've never taken any of the screening in previous pregnancies, simply because I can't face the added stress and worry. I'll deal with the hand I'm given without worrying/stressing anymore than I already do - I'm a terrible worrier, worry and stress about everything anyway. I hope it turns out to be nothing to worry about for you.

I'm 12 weeks today and symptoms pretty much gone. Got a tiny wee bump (beneath the fat) loving that I no longer have to pull my belly in tho and just letting it out - I have an excuse, I'm pregnant ???? 12 Week scan is on Wednesday and t really isn't coming quick enough. Who are my scan buddies again? Loving seeing everyone's scan and the odd bump pic too ????????

BeautifulLiar · 30/08/2015 10:13

Missdee we are scan buddies so stop disappearing! ;) what time is yours?

I'm apparently 13 weeks today and still feel awful. Really bored of it now.

Celen - are you ok? And Ginger - I hope you get answers soon xx

Celen · 30/08/2015 10:23

Bollucks I wrote a reply and then it disappeared Sad

Thank you for asking everyone. I'm mostly pissed off to be honest.

Celen · 30/08/2015 10:25

No bleeding overnight but then more this morning. No pain as yet.
Just bloody pissed off really Angry DH has taken DS to see his Nanny which he'll enjoy but we were planning a really cool day out so pissed off over that. Pissed off because we've had to tell MIL that she may or may not be a nanny again and it's a really crappy way of telling her. Pissed off because I'm a quarter of the way through my pregnancy and it's not fair that it might be all ending now.
So not great Angry Sad

lilmissiehopeful · 30/08/2015 10:33

celen you poor love. Sorry you're in limbo wondering if all is ok. As others have said bleeding doesn't necessarily mean it's bad news. I had spotting at 10 weeks and 22 weeks with DD. Hope you get answers soon. When's the soonest you can get a scan? Sending hugs :-)

sherazade · 30/08/2015 10:38

celen- I hope you're ok. Any pain as well or is it just bleeding, and is the bleeding light or dark?

Celen · 30/08/2015 11:26

The bleeding is light at the moment & pink in colour. Talked to a nurse on the EPU and she can't get me in til Thursday Angry I'm going to have to find somewhere private but that's going to be hard aswell over bank holiday. Frustrating all round Sad

sherazade · 30/08/2015 11:37

Thursday is a really long wait, I hope you get seen sooner. I can't imagine how frustrated you must be feeling. Hang in there, hopefully it is just a case of common pregnancy spotting. I've just remembered though- when I had spotting in early pregnancy with dd1 (who is now 10), I went to a&e on the advice of my gp and was offered an internal scan straight away. Is this an option?

Gingerlady123 · 30/08/2015 12:36

Have my nhs scan on 9th September. Originally wasn't having combined test but I am now, just hoping baby doesn't have 13,18 or a major heart defect, hoping its life can still be of good quality.
Really sad today. Struggling to eat. Lied awake most of last night just numb.

Celen- I hope you can get a scan quicker, I've had spotting this pregnancy and all was ok at the scan. Fingers crossed it's so hard waiting isn't it xx

sherazade · 30/08/2015 12:57

Ginger- hope you have a lot of support in rl , thinking of you , hopefully your September scan looks more positive xx

Gingerlady123 · 30/08/2015 12:59

Thanks.
I have my partner who is great.
Just sat staring at the walls since 8:30 and it's 1pm now, don't know what to do with my self. I know I need to pull together but I can't do it x

Missdee2014 · 30/08/2015 15:41

Hang in there with the light bleeding. I bled for 14/16 weeks (can't remember which) with dd2 and she's now a healthy 8.5 year old. It is frightening though, I mc between dd1 and dd2 and the bleeding was identical to how it was with dd2 so it's really hard to tell. Try not to worry too much though (easier said than done I know) adding stress isn't helpful to anyone. Shame they can't fit you in sooner! we really lucky here that they usually fit u in next working day (mon-fri).

Beautiful, don't worry I'll keep popping in. Just bloody annoying having no app! Doing my head in now tbh. Hate having to log in each time through safari. I'm so not patient these days lol My scan is at 9am so thankfully don't have to wait about all day. Am I right thinking you're the afternoon? What time?

BeautifulLiar · 30/08/2015 16:33

I'm using the internet on my Samsung, but it does stay logged in! I couldn't see pics on the app :(

Well remembered, mine's at 12 so not toooo much waiting! Do you think you'll buy anything after this scan or wait a few more weeks/months?

sherazade · 30/08/2015 16:44

Missdee- I use safari and don't use the app; what I do is log in and then have it bookmarked - and it stays logged in.

IndomitabIe · 30/08/2015 17:07

I use opera on iPhone. It stays logged in, I can see pics. Works for me.

Hope Celen and Ginger are ok. I had spotting the day before my 12 week scan with DS. It was all fine. I hope it is for Celen too. And Ginger, try to remember they've given you an increased likelihood, not a definite diagnosis. And there's a high rate of false positives with the NT, as someone mentioned up thread. Hopefully this is just a worry before they give you the all-clear.

QforCucumber · 30/08/2015 17:10

beautiful I do same as you, Google Chrome through my Samsung and I stay logged in, couldn't get used to the app much prefer this. Got lots done today but exhausted now and really can't be bothered cooking for just me, however we had takeaway last night so I really really should find something in a cupboard hmpf!

marmitemofo · 30/08/2015 17:22

I also use chrome on my nexus phone and it keeps me logged in. I did prefer the convenience of the app though and I'm on android and apparently the new app will be iOS only Angry

Almost 13 weeks and still feel rubbish Sad I have stretches of time (an hour or two) where I feel ok but the rest of the time I feel exhausted and sick. Really bored of feeling like crap now.

My stomach has massively popped out the past couple of weeks; I told a couple of colleagues in work this week and they both said they'd thought so but didn't want to say anything in case they were wrong! I think I'm going to have to tell my boss soon - she is off on holiday till this week but I think I look so obviously pregnant now I won't be able to hide it!

Gingerlady123 · 30/08/2015 17:35

Thanks I will try to remember. Me and my partner have to be strong for the baby. What ever happens he/she will always have a place in our hearts.
We had bought a few baby bits at nine weeks when we had a scan and all was well but I've hidden them away and they may have to go to sil who is due in November if this ends badly.
Praying baby is able to live.
If baby has downs we will continue the pregnancy. Partners younger brother is 21 and has downs he is an amazing person. If they have 18,13 or some other major defect I don't know what the answer will be.
I just wasn't expecting to so high risk at 21 maybe my eggs are bad quality as I have 35-44 day cycles.
So worried about the cysts and tube to. I had one at 9+6 she said their was defiantly two on my right ovary and what looks like water or fluid in the tube which could mean it's blocked. So worried I'll never have a baby.

Marmite- hope you feel better soon. I'm only 11+2 but still suffering dreadfully with morning sickness.

IndomitabIe · 30/08/2015 17:47

Ginger if you're only 11+2 now it could mean the ability to accurately measure was compromised. I think the recommended time-frame is 11+3 to 13 something. Having done some reading, they should be able to give you clear odds in combination with blood tests, which will then be followed up by amniocentesis or CVS.

Have you had the combined results back yet? I really hope this turns out to be a horrible scare for you and nothing more. Unfortunately it's a waiting game for now. Flowers

Gingerlady123 · 30/08/2015 17:52

I haven't had my combined yet. This was an extra private scan.I initially wasn't having the nhs screening but I will opt in to it now.
Baby was stubborn took a lot of moving and jiggling my tummy to move it into position to get the nt reading.
She could see before that they had extra fluid though.
It's strange I never thought I could care for someone so much. Their tiny and unborn but I feel protective over them like I have no one before.
Going to speak to dp mum about it tomorrow. She has a son with downs and other issues and she gave birth to still born triplets for him, she will be great real life support for us both as she's been through similar. I'm glad she's their as my mum has cut me out my life since I got together with my dp.

Gingerlady123 · 30/08/2015 17:52

Before him

IndomitabIe · 30/08/2015 18:11

Jeez, that must be hard not to have your family on side. Yes, I expect MIL will be the best person to talk to. When's your NHS as scan?

Gingerlady123 · 30/08/2015 18:16

I have my dad and my nan thankfully as well but mil has first hand experience.
9th September it is :)

Missdee2014 · 30/08/2015 18:50

I'll try bookmarking but not hopeful. It logs me out every time I close safari. Maybe need to keep it open and see if it stays logged in that way.
I've already bought a couple of things, just towels and a pack of vests right enough. Both my mum and mum in law have been buying though! Nappies, wipes, baby gros, baby shampoo etc! They've been asked not to but they're both excited. Plus I think it's a bit of a distraction for my mum to take away from her own health worries. Will def start buying more after the scan this week. We're moving house next month and with Xmas coming up its such an expensive time for us so we reckon if we pick something up each week for the baby and for the dd's Xmas then we will manage. Hopefully! Ha

sherazade · 30/08/2015 19:09

missdee I've been holding on but you've motivated me to crack on! I was feeling a bit under the weather the other day so my mum bought me a gorgeous white hooded cardi from boots which I cant stop looking at. My sister in law gave me a set of babygrows and vests in 0-3 but I know I'll need some newborn stuff for the first 6-8 weeks or so. My sis has given me a really good medela pump, babies are expensive so am not saying no hand me downs! I really love neutrals, creams and beiges and yellows but there don't seem to be many of them, so will be getting a mixture of neutrals and gender specific if I get to know the gender.I really love shopping for baby stuff though and have held back mainly because once I stat I doubt I'll stop!
