So sorry primary, will be thinking of you in the coming days and weeks x

Brummiegirl15 · 30/07/2015 18:30

Primary I'm so very very sorry.

As for experience, I've not had a termination but I have had 2 x ERPCs. My advice would be, and of course this is very personal, is to find out the time limit of an ERPC under general anaesthetic. I believe with most hospitals it could be 14 weeks.

After that you will have be induced and be awake. You may feel that is what you want to do, but for me an ERPC was absolutely the best thing. The procedure is exactly the same as a medical termination before a certain date.

I needed to close my eyes and it all be over. But it's so personal and I completely understand if you don't want that.

I'm thinking of you and if you want to pm me to ask any questions then please do

I'm so so sorry xx

Sal1977 · 30/07/2015 18:44

Gutted for you Noodle.

I second what Brummie says and I opted for the ERPC instead of the drugs to bring it all on after a MMC at 11weeks. It's awful emotionally but physically it's fine. And it does take the guess work out of when it's all going to happen. Again, it's personal choice but I figured that I had enough shit to deal with without the physical stuff as well. Please PM me if you want nitty gritty practical details about it.

Xxx

How did you get on with your boss fox? I told mine, he was great about it. Everyone knows now, it feels so weird!

primary thinking of you xx

StockingFullOfCoal · 30/07/2015 20:00

primary Flowers I haven't experienced it myself but I nursed my sister through one (abusive relationship in which she was repeatedly raped) and I'd suggest pyjamas, bed/sofa, eat, don't eat, watch TV, sleep, cry, basically whatever you need to do. Practically? Painkillers. Lots of them. The worst bit for her was the wait between the pessary going in and going down for the GA, about an hour, although I'd imagine that varies. Anything else, please PM me.

Glad it went well fox! Have fun telling your family! I just told the rest of my office straight after my boss, then friends. my family already knew too. I just wanted it done and out in the open now, I dragged it on and on last time and I found it stressful thinking who knew and who didn't and who might mention it to who and would they be offended they didn't find out first etc etc last time.

RattyCatty · 30/07/2015 21:03

Lovely pic badgie Smile

QuackQuackers · 30/07/2015 21:18

just catching up.

thinking of everyone having a challenging time.

was at fmc today for first scan and harmony bloods. they've moved me forward one day so in now 10+3 due date 22nd.

baby wouldn't stay still for a second so ended up having an internal so they could see it easier. photos are all really blurred though. on screen it was amazing to see the waving! Grin.

BadgieBear · 30/07/2015 21:27

Thanks for your lovely comments everyone. Nice to know I have a due date buddy fox Smile

Could someone add me to the stats please, I'm too stupid to do it myself:
Location: Yorkshire
Age: 31
Due date: 12/02/16
DC 0
Symptoms: Vomiting, burping, sore boobs

Big thank you - I don't want to delete everyone's info by accident....Hmm

primary, my heart goes out to you, it really does. My experience is different as ds was a late miscarriage, so I don't know if it's useful for you... I laboured with him but was given a d&c under general anaesthetic to remove the placenta. I have to say that being put under was like receiving air after being under water. It gave me a break. I am thinking of you and sending all of my thoughts and love. I'm so sorry x

badgie and others who put DC # 0 on the spreadsheet- I think we're saying what number baby this pregnancy will be, rather than how many we already have Smile

Pagerty · 31/07/2015 00:54

I hope you don't mind me popping back but I wanted to see how all my this week scan buddies had got on and also to thank each and every one of you for the heart felt messages you left for me on Monday, they were all so much appreciated and comforted me more than you will ever know (although I know that sounds daft seeing as I don't actually 'know' any of you). I am so so gutted to see there is more bad news Sad

Primary my heart goes out to you my lovely. This week has been flipping awful for me but having it all out of my hands in one way made it easier. You have some tough choices ahead, I hope you get the support you need to find the right one for you. You will be in my thoughts and maybe when we are both strong enough we will meet again else where on the boards. Huge unmumsnetty hugs to you xx

To everyone else who had their scans today, I truly am delighted for you all. And if we decide to try again and if I am lucky enough to get a BFP before February, I shall be sure to tell you all know!

Good luck and best wishes to you all xx
