Natural Birth after Myomectomy

Hi, my wife is 28 weeks pregnant. She had a Abdominal Myomectomy on 1st August 2012 and the baby's due date is 7th August 2015 (After 3 years).
She had a 15cm subserosal fibroid removed where no Uterine Cavity was open. I am concerned about the natural birth as we heard that there can be the risk of uterine rupture. Anyway our doctor in St.Mary assured that for 90% a natural birth is safer than C-section and that after 3 years the scar should be completely healed and , in case of rupture for other reasons, they would manage it straight away with a emergency c-section.
We feel we can trust the doctor ... We just want to hear about it from someone that had a Subserosal Fibroid removed and then had a natural birth

The fibroid was external attached to the rear left wall. No uterine cavity was open but there was a cut on the wall(according to the doctor that did the surgery) as it was SLIGHTLY intramural!

Thank you in advance
