Welcome Fixup!

Good news on the results sauv and fluffin.

I now want Schloer. Damn you.

HaveTeaWillSurvive · 19/03/2015 18:59

I got a low risk letter too, though I was slightly displeased it was a 1 in 2800 risk as DS was 1 in 13000 - why am I never happy!!

thecrab · 19/03/2015 19:00

cravings got the best of me tonight - nachos for dinner!

lovesmycake · 19/03/2015 20:41

Cravings got the best of me too, sent DH out for a donut Grin

lastnightiwenttomanderley · 19/03/2015 20:54

I'm a fan of Eisberg Riesling - waitrose stock it but think others do too. Bit sweeter than normal but generally not bad.

Jessica32 · 19/03/2015 21:38

Hi fixup welcome.

Sauv I do think we get good service here. I got my letter today too (scan was Mon). Also low risk, a few of us having a good day today.

Treaclepie19 · 19/03/2015 21:42

Stomach jumping - wind or baby??? 13+5
I'm guessing wind :p
Especially after how energetic baby was yesterday and i didn't feel anything!

Fixup - great idea on the schloer in wine glass - it did make a difference!

Thanks for the heads up coffeetable - I can believe that given the sugar coating on my teeth now after a few glasses!

Great news on all the low risks :) chuffed for everyone, very happy day today!

lastnight I've heard about that wine before, very tempted to try - think it could be good in a spritzer in the summer...can you buy it in any supermarket??

My folks arrived back from their trip to Australia today (visiting my sis & bro) and brought back two ADORABLE babygros from Bondi and a cuddly toy kangaroo! Bless em! I wasn't planning on buying anything for ages but my gosh those babygros are CUUUUTE!!!! Grin Xx

sauvblanc21 · 19/03/2015 22:25

Just spotted your bit about Waitrose lastnight! Doh! I'll try there :)

amusville · 20/03/2015 08:31

Anyone else struggling to sleep on their side? I normally sleep half on my side onto my stomach but lying fully on my side is giving me terrible back pain even with my pillow. Only managing 2-3 hours a night like that then back on my stomach.

Treaclepie19 · 20/03/2015 08:59

Try not to worry amusville, you'll know when it's time not to lie on your tummy as it'll be uncomfortable.

THEworrywart · 20/03/2015 08:59

I'm struggling to sleep full stop due to tossing and turning amusville have you tried a pillow?
I feel completely drained and run down might actually go to my gp next week.

SomewhereovertheRainbow02 · 20/03/2015 09:06

Am I the only one that hasn't had a figure in my NT test result letter?
All mine said was I am Lower risk!
Im also feeling flutterings. not regularly but definitely feeling them low down on the left which is where I find Babys heartbeat with the Doppler Smile

THEworrywart · 20/03/2015 09:18

Somewhere I never had a figure or a letter just a text saying low risk!

monkeymoonpig · 20/03/2015 09:26

I have my pregnancy pillow with legs either side, kimda straddling it if that makes sense. So i have one end cutched up by face which is nice and the other end along my back also giving support. Love love love my Dream Genii! Manage to sleep all night with it (unless DS starts yelling of course lol)

monkeymoonpig · 20/03/2015 09:50

Sitting waiting for 16wk appt - so fed up. The 9.45 appt has gone in - im supposed to be 9.30 appt! And i neeeeeed to peeeeee. SadSad

SomewhereovertheRainbow02 · 20/03/2015 10:50

Must be different for different boroughs then WorryWart
Ive got my 16 week check next week so will no doubt find out everything then from all my bloods.
I know the NT measurement was 1.4 by the scan sheet we got given.
Im not worried just curious. Im one of these need to know people so I can understand everything in my head. Drive myself mad at times.

monkeymoonpig · 20/03/2015 11:08

Well turns out the mw wasnt expecting me so didnt have my records. Have to go back next week after all for my blood test results. Was nice having chat with lovely mw tho, and she's keen to keep close eye on my BP so can't complain too much..... will be booking them at MLU on future, save doc receptionists missing me off. Disappointed when she said they're not allowed to listen for heartbeat until after 20wk scan tho :-/

Stanway · 20/03/2015 11:20

I'm struggling to sleep on my left too, bad hip pain. But dream genii pillow made big difference. Still not easy but much better.

Cornberry · 20/03/2015 12:35

It's so odd how everything works differently from one area to another. At my 16 week appointment the MW let me listen to the heartbeat. I wasn't expecting it so it was wonderful. Four weeks until my next scan and it just feels like so long to wait. monkey did they give a reason why they don't listen to heartbeat?

THEworrywart · 20/03/2015 12:41

I don't even have a 16week appointment but I'm consultant led and there every 3 weeks but never talk about my pregnancy!

Sometimes they don't let you listen before 20 weeks as it can be hard to detect and can cause panic.

monkeymoonpig · 20/03/2015 12:46

As worry said, sometimes baby is still too far down in pelvis/tummy to hear and it causes worry (and possibly additional scans??) So consultants now advise to wait until after 20wk scan. This is Shropshire & Telford NHSTrust.

thecrab · 20/03/2015 13:12

been looking at travel systems today - I'm torn between the Cosatto Giggle and the Obaby Chase (Emma's Diary has awesome offers on these!).

Do any of you girls have these? My husband will be the main one using it I imagine as he'll be a stay at home dad. He's over 6ft tall and the Obaby Chase looks quite petite in the handle bar. Also need something that'll fit in the boot (but we call it a glove compartment) of my little VW Up!

Any advise?

First timer if you hadn't guessed =P

misssmilla1 · 20/03/2015 13:13

my consultant always tries to let us listen (we're based in the US) but the only time we've been able to hear it was when I had a vaginal ultrasound in the early days, and tbh, I'd prefer not to have to do that! She looked for it at the last scan but we couldn't hear it, but could see it (there's something on the screen that can pick up the heartbeat and showed it like a regular hospital monitor) I have my next scan this afternoon so we'll see what happens!

DeladionInch · 20/03/2015 13:38

crab most of my friends had flogged theirs in favour of a sling or umbrella fold by 12 months. My advice is don't waste your money!
