Hello All

Hope I am correct in beginning a thread for July 07. BFP today (23rd October) and EDD 2nd July 07.

By way of a brief introduction; live in the South West, work part-time, have DD aged 5 and DS who is almost 3. Have been incredibly lucky this time as made decision to try for third and hey presto seem to have achieved it on first attempt (much to DH disappointment if you know what I mean!!).

Look forward to 'meeting' you and sharing this amazing experience with you.

Have sent you another message. Pleas let me know if you have received it.
Black crop m/care trousers (no 8) have gone to someone else, but you can have all other items.

Miaou · 17/11/2006 12:40

CATs are sent on manually by Mumsnet Towers so it may take a few hours to get to you (particularly as I suspect they are pretty busy just now). You should have it by the end of the day though as it's a weekday

Chooster · 17/11/2006 13:01

Thansk Miaou and Firststar - I never realised how ignorant about conception / pregnancy / childbirth etc until I joined MN - And I've had 3 pregnancies and one labour

Hello all, I have had a really energetic day today, done all my christmas shopping, as have to move house in 2wks so really needed to get it over and done with. This also means that by tonight, I am sure I will be in bed by 8.30.

Hope everybody else is doing well and has found cures for their nausea. Uh oh small monster is crying from bed, gotta go.

Cakehead · 17/11/2006 15:09

Ooh flipflop, that's good going. I'm meant to be working at home and have had two naps so far... Got to fetch DD from nursery now. See you!

flopflip · 17/11/2006 15:28

Thankyou, but if I didn't do it now i would be stuffed. Moving from London to Lancs on the 1st of dec, then to somewhere near Leeds in Jan. SWIM. Anyway well done for the naps, my dd doesn't sleep much during the day, so I don't nap but today she had two hours, bugger !!!

swift1 · 17/11/2006 15:31

Is anyone who has been feeling rough starting to feel any better yet? Please tell me I wont feel like this forever. I am quite weak in the mornings , then in the evenings im either feeling sick or asleep,. Flopflip Im so jealous that youve done your xmas shopping , youre so organiased well done!!

flopflip · 17/11/2006 15:34

P.s wasn't calling dd bugger by the way. Talking of dd, does anybody elses dc's get hiccups when they laugh ??

Mumpbump · 17/11/2006 15:35

I feel alright, but knackered as ds is waking up 3-4 times a night at the moment. Really irritating 'cos there is nothing wrong with him. He generally just needs a quick cuddle and will then go back to sleep. Not sure if this is separation anxiety kicking in.

I wouldn't mind so much if I had third trimester insomnia - it would give me something to do in the wee hours - but I am sooo tired at the moment... Think I'm going to leave work early and get an early night tonight!

swift1 · 17/11/2006 15:36

that sounds good mumpbump. The only thing waking me at night is the need to go to the loo. I wake up at least 3 times, and each time my tummy is hurting as though ive been hanging on to it for hours!

Swift1, you probably will start to feel better at some point, but not just yet... With DD, I was like you until week 16, but after that was just absolutely manic with energy, which was great. But slowed down the last few weeks before she was born. I'm faring better this time, but evenings are worse for me too. It's all in a good cause, though...
I think I must be week 8 now, and still feeling a bit green [she says having devoured yet another packet of Wotsits before dinner...]

JennStarOfWonder · 17/11/2006 18:44

Saw midwife today and she had a feel of my belly because we are in the dark about dates, and I felt uncomfortable and full in my pelvis when doing physio exercises. She said it was probably my bladder but could be 10 weeks and not the 6 I thought I was.

Won't know until I have my scan in January so AGES to wait........

Back to work next week so not lookin forward to the Christmas onslaught my busiest time.

emmyb · 17/11/2006 18:59

Been feeling really sick today especially from 2.00ish till tea time. Nearlly in tears at the prospect of this feeling until week 14 (thats when it stopped with DD). Mum came round with some flowers, its like a sixth sense because she didn't know I felt so bad!! Anyone got scan dates back yet who are due around the 9th?

pookey · 17/11/2006 19:20

Congratulations Miaou, havent read down yet as this thread moves so fast but just saw your name! What a lovely surprise to see you on here

Cyee · 17/11/2006 19:22

Hi all-
emmyb - I'm due on the 9th too and only know that the scan will either be before or after Christmas. Helpful!!!!
Saw the (harassed) midwife today. This is my first pregnancy and her opening gambit was, "so what can I do for you?"... I was like.. "I was hoping you could tell me!" Anyway - didn't quite turn out to be the informative and comforting sesh I had hoped for. Lucky I have MN!
Now that I have seen the MW the reality of what is going on has started to hit me. Has anyone worked out a way to give birth without actually giving birth? I can't even think about it now without my blood pressure rising.

Anyway - my new MS cure is buckets of hot water, and having 3 pillows at night. This morning I felt better than I have all week and I'm putting it down to these. Is anyone else having MS that is basically trapped burps??? Hideous! Only other sympton is excessively sore boobs, and I am missing tight hugs as a result

Hope everyone's doing well. Have wonderful weekends!

earthtomummy · 17/11/2006 19:27

Chooster, just been reading back. This is my 4th pg. and with DS I was nauseous and occ. sick from wks. 6 - 18. With my DDs I was sick from 4 wks (before I did the test) to when I delivered. This time I feel travel sick type nausea all day but not as bad as the 2 prev. Early days but hopefully it will stay at bay. Wonder if it's a boy in there. However, I would say I feel 10 times more tired than I did with any of them. Miao, how many wks. are you now? I know you're on yr. 4 th. Wonder when bumps will appear - my m/w said not to be suprised if it appeared at 8 wks...!
