pas I think I may have been getting Braxton Hicks too. I know I got them early-ish last time but not this early. It's been mainly at night when I've been having coughing fits.

rolypolybird84 · 09/12/2014 13:48

Emz so pleased your scan went well!

Belle we are also due date buddies now after my scan I was brought forward a few days to June 25th - my birthday! Smile

Scan was so lovely I felt really emotional seeing it wriggling around in there! (I was desperate to pee and she made me go and let SOME of it out! Near impossible!!!)

Does anybody else find it totally bizarre seeing it move around but not feel it? So weird to think all that is going on in there! Smile

Anyway...will attempt to attach my scan picture...

If anybody knows anything about nub theory I'd love to know your opinion...

I am definitely getting braxton hicks already (12 weeks). I can feel my uterus quite clearly, and it is hard especially when I first wake up and my bladder is hard. Was the same previous 2 pregnancies too.

Rosie888 · 09/12/2014 14:50

Hi everyone, I'm a bit of a late comer, had a scan on Friday and I'm 11w2d today so I'm due 28th June. Having our next scan on 19th Dec at 12w5d, is it true that they may be able to tell gender then??

xXx

Chookford · 09/12/2014 14:53

roly massive congrats!

rosie welcome and congrats.. I think at the 12wk scan they can give you a best guess answer but it won't be definitive think you have to wait till your 16ish wks for gender but I may be wrong!! Smile

Congrats emz and roly!

Roly, if you post on the ingender site they have a pretty high accuracy rate on there apparently.

Rosie, it's unlikely an NHS sonographer will guess the gender that early on; private clinics will only do it from 16 weeks, but as above, if you post your scan pic on the site I mentioned they guess based on the nub and at 12+5 accuracy is quite high.

I had really bad heartburn last time (much later on) and the only thing that would help was the Gaviscon in the bright pink bottle.

I didn't have any Braxton Hicks last time.

Emz1989 · 09/12/2014 16:47

Oh congratulations to you too roly. Dh said the same, couldn't believe that I couldn't feel anything as it was flipping and wiggling about lots!!

BingoBonkers · 09/12/2014 17:07

forty I'm so sorry to read about your dog. There are no words. You will always have your memories and photos to treasure. Not the same as having them here I know.

Congratulations to everyone who has had scans and seen their wriggly minibugs.

I'm off out tonight and for some reason I feel sick. Lots of extra saliva type nausea and not the usual feeling queasy. Hope it doesn't mean I'm coming down with something. Hoping that it's due to drinking too much fruit juice. Think it was pomegranate and grape. Might have been that. Or a combo of being tired and pregnant. Who knows!

BingoBonkers · 09/12/2014 17:08

tranq you're almost there. It's Wednesday in a few hours, then Thursday and then you'll be making your way there.

StopEatingThatMud · 09/12/2014 18:18

Congrats on all the scan news!

sunbathing let us know if the massage helps the headaches? Thankfully mine have eased off in the last week, but having been replaced by this ridiculous virus, can't have everything I suppose!

Massive congrats emz and roly! Happy times. So pleased for you.

mummymog · 09/12/2014 19:02

Feeling pretty bummed tonight. :( dd whose 14 months seems to have decided she doesn't like the taste of breastmilk anymore. I keep offering, and she gets excited latches quite happily then comes off after a few sucks. I'll keep offering, but I think she might be weaning due to pregnancy making it taste funny. I wanted to feed her till 2 :(

AND my grand plan to get lots of likes on my new paper cutting Facebook page isn't working. Running a giveaway for a nursery print, and I've only had 2 entrants and 1 of those Didnt even like my page!

Orville82 · 09/12/2014 19:05

Lovely clear pics Emz and roly. Congratulations! Just 3 more days until mine and away with work tomorrow morning until 3am Fri so should hopefully fly by (excuse the pun). Eek!

cuphat · 09/12/2014 19:22

Mummymog , the same happened with DD at 17 months (a few weeks ago). I never thought she'd self-wean so I think that the taste of the milk must have changed. She did the same, reducing length of feeds until it was a few sucks, then one, then that was it. At least I'll have had a bit of a break before baby arrives. Are you allowed to share your fb page?

Tryingreallyhard84 · 09/12/2014 19:22

Evening ladies. Another wriggly bean made a debut screen appearance for us today too. Edd pulled forward two days to 20th June. I've taken a photo on my phone and I'm just trying to figure out if I can upload via the app. Grin

It was weird seeing it in there. That's science/nature at its best.

Tryingreallyhard84 · 09/12/2014 19:28

Let's try this:

Babies hand is being held near their face so me and hubs think it looks like predator without the mask on. Xmas Grin

trying congrats, lovely pic!

ChatEnOeuf · 09/12/2014 19:39

Scan all went well, pic will go up on FB later this evening but 12w exactly with a NT of 0.9mm so all good.

Mog, that's how one of my friends knew she was pregnant each time - the preceding child stopped BFing. End of an era Flowers

Forty, I'm really sorry - I remember when our cat died, feeling just like that. They are part of the family - look after yourself.

NoCupcakesOrCocktails · 09/12/2014 19:41

Hello do you mind if I join you guys? I'm a tad ashamed to admit I have been stalking the june group since the 1st thread. I've been too scared to post as I've been really worried about something going wrong. I'm 12+4 weeks with my first baby due on the 19th June, I had my scan today and all went well. I've had a very long ttc journey. It's taken 5 years and 3 ivf cycles to get to this point hence me being so worried.

Congratulations to everyone who's had there scans and I have been so saddened to hear other people's bad news along the way.

Forty I'm very sorry to hear about your dog, how sad. I am a real dog lover and know how much a part of your family dogs are Flowers

Tranquilitybaby · 09/12/2014 19:41

Lovely scan pics Roly and Trying. Great news x have you told people now?

Thanks Bingo, yep nearly there now. Felt a bit twitchy earlier bit i'm ok now thanks.
Did anyone else feel like they didnt actually want to shout it from the rooftops once they had their 12 week scan? Nope? Just me then... Maybe it's the losses, I don't know bit I quite like it being our little secret really, can't be doing with any judgement for those that don't know about the losses and the fact we'll have big age gaps.

Tranquilitybaby · 09/12/2014 19:42

From those, not for those

AnythingNotEverything · 09/12/2014 19:54

Welcome cupcakes! Congratulations!

Great news on scans today. Well done! Mine is tomorrow. I'm almost convinced I've made the whole thing up and they're going to laugh me out of the hospital tomorrow ...

Cup and Mummymog - I'm expecting DD to self wean any day. She's almost 14 months and feeds are getting shorter. I don't mind tbh. I didn't want to tandem feed and would like a break before this one starts. I'm glad we've managed to keep it up while I've returned to work though as I do think it's helped with the transition.

Very quiet over on Facebook ladies ... Anyone fancy posting their scan pics there? (Mainly suggesting because I can't see the pics here on the app Smile)

Chookford · 09/12/2014 19:54

chat congrats, more good scan news!!

nocupcakes welcome and a massive congrats, what a journey you have been on, we can all understand your worry jump right in and post away now! Smile

tranquility I haven't really been telling a lot of people but as I am obviously pregnant now people are asking so I'm having to confirm but I think after a loss or losses you will always have that feat until baby is safe and sound in your arms... Totally understandable... And the gap between your children is no ones business but yours and your dh! If people pass comment they are rude and simple!
