Hi all!

Wow Kyz, 15 weeks today!!! I feel so far behind ha ha... I keep wondering if my EDD will move when I get my scan. Glad to hear there's been no more falls Smile

Interesting chats re food and drink. I have too been struck by the demon thirst. I need my cup of tea first thing but after that I'm not fussed for anymore, I am just craving juice and water. it doesn't matter how much liquid I drink though my urine is always quite strong in colour and odour (sorry for tmi) but has been like that since my positive test so hopefully nothing to be worried about. I guess if there are any probs they will tell me at my first scan on 16th.

I've been pretty good and have stayed away from the 'foods to avoid'. I love seafood and fish but tbh even cooked prawns etc can make someone who's not pregnant ill, so I just don't think it's worth the chance. Christmas Day, I would normally have a huge king prawn and smoked salmon cocktail starter, however this year I will be swapping for a salmon fillet salad.

I've read the standard 'starting to show' is around week 16... This is my first but I'm wondering if this is right? At 10+3, my abdominal area is already starting to thicken and in the evenings I definitely look pregnant (still bloating I think). I plan to tell my boss on Dec 23rd which is the day we come off for Christmas and I will be 13 weeks exactly. Can I just ask, at 13 weeks, were people able to tell you were pregnant? Did you grow a huge amount between 10 and 13 weeks? Or am I just paranoid and will get away with wearing baggy jumpers lol? Sorry if this is silly, I guess I just don't want people guessing, I'm telling my family on Christmas Day then I'd like to tell everyone else.

I feel like I have a slightly rounded tum but definitely don't look pregnant (I still haven't regained the weight I lost 1st trimester), but come evening am usually super bloated and definitely look about 5m pregnant then! Have filtered my work wardrobe to avoid waisted items!! Frustrating as I am trying to hide it till Jan and without the bloat I don't look pregnant at all!

cuphat · 05/12/2014 13:27

Just realised I'm 15 weeks today! I have a bit of a bump but this is my second.

Chookford · 05/12/2014 13:28

Afternoon ladies

osney hope your feeling better soon, and detective hope you have a good poo soon! Grin

sun I have the rage from time to time as well it's quite scary how my mood can just flip! I'm another one who mostly eats like a pregnant woman anyway try only thing I am really missing is red wine I do love a big glass of that!

I had my 16week midwife appointment this morning, after baby finished playing hide and seek we heard a lovely strong heartbeat, and then I got a very lovely gentle boot just to say I'm ok mum don't worry!! Was very re-assuring! Midwife guesses a boy as its a little pickle already Wink

jazzyjenbo · 05/12/2014 13:58

Afternoon all, just had a quick read of todays posts and glad i'd just made my lunch or else i'd b in the car to tesco (with 4 kids) to buy pate and cheese!!
As it happens i'm also sitting down to a cheese and ham toastie!
I'm 14+5 and can feel my uterus and wearing mat jeans but no bump yet. I'm not planning on i forming the minded kids parents until after 20 weeks at least... Starting mat allowance from may and back working sept.

TheDetective · 05/12/2014 14:29

Did everyone enjoy their toasties then?! Grin

Mine was a let down! I did cheese and tomato, but it wasn't quite what I'd hoped for!

Should have gone to a cafe! Except I'm feeling quite crap, and am still in my christmas PJ's. In fact, I don't intend on getting out of them all day.

It's my last day off work (been on annual leave) as I am doing an extra shift saturday night so I can put some extra £ aside for mat leave.

DS2 is sleeping, and the house is a mess. I really CBA though. I'm full of a cold, and it isn't shifting. Every day this week I have woke up wondering if today will be the day I will feel better. And nope. Nothing!

Might do some online christmas shopping. I've no idea what to get my mum - it's her birthday 6 days before christmas. My budget is £15. For each. Any ideas anyone?! She is a young 56 year old. And I've got the hump with her, which probably isn't helping in my present buying!

Tori Grin how dare he!

I had cheese on toast for lunch, first time I've felt like a dairy hit, I've hated the thought of it for weeks.

I don't have a hint of a bump, though I'm still all a bit bloated. Only 11w though, and I didn't get an obvious bump until 26w with DD. Strong abs, apparently - unlikely, given the amount of exercise I do Grin

We're off to Cologne for a Christmas Market mooch this weekend. The one in Brussels is great too but less German.

BingoBonkers · 05/12/2014 16:28

I look definitely pregnant. Number 3 and stomach muscles are thoroughly shot to bits. I'm massive. I've also put on about a stone. I've taken the eating handbrake off however I have bought silver skin pickled onions and pickled baby beetroots to snack on. The downside to this is that the toxicity level of one's wind is possibly going to reach new levels.

Need to start my Christmas shopping. Not sure if it's just me but seems like everyone on FB is already organised with gifts bought and wrapped plus decs up. So far I've done zilch and feel like time is running out!

Oh now I'm hungry and missing Germany! I usually get to go on a school trip to Köln Christmas markets right about now, but we couldn't go this year. Am going to berlin (hopefully) on a trip at Easter - I'll be 28 weeks and I really hope school will be ok with that. It's an amazing place! I used to live there and I miss it.

Last week I ate some Brie and cranberry without realising - It was a big 'oops' moment. I bloody love it though.

pasbeaucoupdegendarme · 05/12/2014 17:25

I've not done any Christmas shopping yet... Haven't got my brain in gear at all. This year and last year I've just felt a bit panicked by the amount to do rather than enjoying it, which is a shame as I usually love buying for people. Not at all sure what to get dh either!!

Came home a bit early today and have eaten my obligatory packet of crisps with dd holding out her hand and saying "Just put one here, mummy!" Grin Better go and rescue her from nursery now though.

BingoBonkers · 05/12/2014 17:52

More antibiotics for me today. Flipping teeth. As an extra bonus more thrush! Thank ABs!

HexyQueen · 05/12/2014 18:01

bingo, have u tried gyno daktarin? I found it much more effective than canesten cream for thrush. It has little cardboard tubes that u fill with cream & insert like a plunger (sorry tmi). My teeth are a mess too thanks to all the vomiting of last 8 weeks. Made a dentist appt too as starting to ache. Boo. Hope u feel better soon. X

BingoBonkers · 05/12/2014 18:12

Oooh Never heard of it. Can you use whilst pregnant?

AnythingNotEverything · 05/12/2014 18:30

Quick TMI question - 11.5 ish weeks. Light brown stringy discharge. Nothing to worry about, yes?

jazzyjenbo · 05/12/2014 18:42

Have u been doing any exercise that could of triggered it or DTD? Anything strenuous can cause abit of spotting as cervix and pelvic region is so vascular when pregnant.
Brown usually means old and the CM might just be clearing it.
Without looking at stats, have u had ur 12 week scan?

OP posts:
AnythingNotEverything · 05/12/2014 18:50

Nothing strenuous (other than lots of toddler lifting) and no DTD as DH has been away nearly a week.

No pain or even discomfort. Scan is on Wednesday.

jazzyjenbo · 05/12/2014 18:54

It could just be the lifting of toddler, or you may of had a cyst thats now shrinking thats caused the spotting ... I wouldnt worry to much, just monitor and if it turns pink/red then see if u can go to epu on monday.
I know from experience that seeing anything on wiping makes you worry but your scan is very close now x

jazzyjenbo · 05/12/2014 18:56

(Lots of ppl hav cyst on side u ovulate from when you become pregnant as ovaries suddenly stop working the same.. I had one this time)

Thanks Jazzy. So lovely to have somewhere to discuss the random worries. At last toilet visit CM was back to normal colour so fingers crossed. This is my third pregnancy and I think I'm more neurotic than ever!

So close to scan now and hopefully feeling some movement.
