Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 16th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 33rd outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates! It's a bit quiet at the moment, but with all these upduffed viroids hopefully it won't be for long!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

So, roll call below please, viroids!

Just caught up on thread after a busy few days.

So sorry to hear your news minion. Thinking of you and hope it all goes as well as these things can Flowers

la that is amazing news! Grin so lovely to see that little heart thumping away on the screen isn't it. Great news that dates all ok too.

dulcet me me! I would love a pain au chocolat right now Grin

Shock kato what an awful thing for your friend to say! Some people just don't know when to keep their traps shut!

I've got my 20-week scan on Monday. Really nervous. Just have The Fear that they'll find something wrong. I'm an idiot because there's nothing I can actually do about it, just have to get on with it and stop worrying! Hmm

How are my scan buddies feeling lauren fresh?

ChatEnOeuf · 02/12/2014 12:04

Tori! Hello!! In my first pregnancy I genuinely didn't get a proper bump until about 24 weeks. It was very neat all through :)

laurenamium · 02/12/2014 12:12

Mini I have the fear too! I can feel it wiggling every day now but I'm on edge about how much it's grown and if there's anything wrong especially with the low papp a, I'm excited too though to find out if its a boy or girl. I keep swaying between excitement and fear!

minimooo · 02/12/2014 12:22

It's so nerve wracking isn't it?! I've been having fairly regular movements too - until this week (it's gone a bit quiet in there) but I keep telling myself it's probably just kicking somewhere I can't feel.
Can't wait to find out boy/girl. Do you have any suspicions either way?

laurenamium · 02/12/2014 12:28

I have no idea! DP really wants a boy and DD really wants a girl...do you have any feelings?

freshstart4us · 02/12/2014 12:29

Hi moo, yes, all good here. Wanting a time machine for Monday scan... I came this close to booking a private scan for tomorrow, only 39 and 5 min walk from work, but MrFresh wouldn't be able to come so I have resisted the selfish urge.

minion I truly hope you are being supported, you do sound strong but I also know it feels somewhat like you're on a train you can't get off.

kato your supposed friend needs a slap. Popping at 16 weeks is pretty good though - I'm not even 12 and already look like I did at 16 weeks last time! One of my NCT girls was at DD's party on Saturday, love her, great girl, but she was looking at me very leerily so I told her, and I quote: "Yes, I was wondering, noticed your belly was poking out further than your boobs, not normal for you Fresh." Blush I think that can only be called a compli-sult!

freshstart4us · 02/12/2014 12:36

lauren the only thing I can say with regards to a feeling is that my symptoms (nausea, vertigo/dizziness, crazy dreams, etc) are all very similar to those I had with DD so I think it's quite likely to be a girl again. DH also really wants another girl, but tbh I will be very happy either way.

Leela5 · 02/12/2014 12:42

The last pg I had real strong feelings it was a boy. This time I'm getting girl waves. I'd really like a girl first but just for it to get here safely would be amazing. Dh isn't fussed. I don't want to find out, I want a surprise :)

minimooo · 02/12/2014 12:47

I keep calling bump "him/he" by mistake and I have a feeling it might be a boy, but it's not based on anything even remotely scientific! I'll probably be proved wrong on Monday and then feel like a complete numpty.

Well done on the scan willpower fresh. We're almost there now!

Loving hearing about all the inappropriate bump comments. It's amazing what people come out with! I keep getting the "you're huge" comments too and I don't think I'm even that big... I think people just like to make a comment and don't always know what to say. Still, that doesn't excuse it in the slightest.

ChatEnOeuf · 02/12/2014 12:55

Mini that's the most scientific of all the ways, you know Wink. I really want a surprise again - we didn't find out with DD and it was lovely. Everyone said she'd be a boy, but I was accidentally calling her 'she' rather than some nonspecific nickname.

RPopz · 02/12/2014 13:16

I've been calling bump a he the whole way through... might be awkward if it's a girl now!! Smile

Dulce - I'm pretty sure a heartbeat at 8 weeks = your mc risk drops massively.

freshstart4us · 02/12/2014 13:39

Thanks popz I was wondering about the 8 week thing too!

la I'm with you. Safe, healthy, with all fingers and toes. Flavour very much secondary to that!

Pisghetti · 02/12/2014 13:41

I read somewhere recently that about three quarters of mums correctly predict the sex of their babies which suggests there is something in the idea of mother's intuition. With DS I had a sneaking suspicion I was having a boy and only had decided on boy's names whereas this time I was pretty sure it would be a girl.

I've also heard that about 8 weeks Popz

I didn't have a pain au chocolat for lunch [smug] I had a black forest hot chocolate and a giant Jaffa cake instead

Fleurchamp · 02/12/2014 13:41

Hope you're ok minion try to take it easy, I know there will be a lot to sort out in the next week or two but try to look after yourself xxx

I don't know if I have lost weight ( I should do, I drink quite a bit and have been off my food recently) but my jeans are feeling a bit loose. Weird. I cannot imagine having a bump Confused

Haha Tori quite the opposite I suspect! I weight about 0.5 a stone more than I did with DD, and that is definitely contributing to me showing earlier!

freshstart4us · 02/12/2014 14:02

*weigh not weight!

teejayem · 02/12/2014 15:25

Trying to catch up.. Pis Snap! I am slurping my Black Forest choc as I type. So pleased your scan went well La! Oh Min so, so sorry to hear. xx

Really struggling with MiL again. Finally convinced her to back down over nursery-gate and then Sunday was just a catalogue of 'She only means well because she's excited' disasters, involving unwanted advice, decorations, and god knows what. I am really conscious of being a total wanker, but I honestly want to avoid her for the next 6 months. And if i hear 'MY grandchild' once more... ugh. Actually, it's my baby, thanks very much. I'm currently growing it. (I know, I know I am being fairly irrational here, but it's how I feel). Told Mr Tee - I feel bad as he's in the middle of things, and he agrees she's being a bit overbearing. Whether this will make any difference is anyone's guess, and I really don't want to fall out with her, but my tolerance for people in general is just so low (Hello preggo rage) can just see myself going apocalyptic.

phew. Feels better to get that out. I am a bit of a miserable moo at the moment, have a hot wheat bag stuffed down the back of my leggings to try and take the edge off sciatica, which I knew I'd get, just not this early.. Can't get a Drs appt for 2 weeks because my useless GP is on holiday and the Locum is only seeing emergencies. Toying with going to the Osteopath but a bit nervous it'll only make it worse. Humph.

Pisghetti · 02/12/2014 15:36

God Tee she sounds like a nightmare! You're actually not being irrational at all! Hopefully she'll calm down a bit as time goes on. You're probably better off seeing the osteopath or a physio rather than the GP for sciatica.

freshstart4us · 02/12/2014 16:03

OMFG can't believe I forgot to say - THAT IS FNG AWESOME NEWS la. So, so happy for you!!! Lots of non-alcoholic Wine for celebrations!!!

freshstart4us · 02/12/2014 16:06

And yes tee I agree your MiL sounds like a complete PITA. You are completely in the right to feel proprietary about the contents of your womb, and while others may be invited to join in, they are NOT permitted to impose or otherwise overbear. Tell her to back the feck off, or if you don't feel comfortable doing that, get Mr Tee to do it.

And yes, I'd recommend a manipulative physio/osteo type for your back, personally don't even bother with the GP for my longstanding (whiplash-and-office-worker related) neck flareups.

teejayem · 02/12/2014 16:38

Yeah, I've been having Physio for years because of my Spondy, but I like to loop my GP in when I have a bad flare, if only for the referral which I can use to leverage my BUPA cover through work and also document the problem in case I need to be signed off further down the line.
Thanks fresh. I did wonder if I was being a bit presh about womb contents, but I'm glad you don't think so either!

TheBooMonster · 02/12/2014 17:56

yikes tee your MiL sounds like a bit of a nightmare, I expect she really does mean well, but it's hard to hold your tongue when they start to sound suspiciously like they're dictating!

Viroids I can reliably inform you that the mulled punch is grim... bump and I disliked it so much it came back up Shall just have to stock up on spices, dried oranges, dried cranberries and apple juice and make it myself, meanwhile I've had a glass of mulled wine to get over the shock.

laurenamium · 02/12/2014 17:57

Lots of interesting boy/ girl feelings! My symptoms are totally different to last time, I'm carrying smaller and much sickier, more pains etc. but my job is more demanding this time round and I have a healthier out look to food compared to last time so it could be because of that!

I just popped into the bathroom where DP was getting out of the bath to catch him DRYING HIS PENIS on the hand towel Shock apparently he always does it! Then just pops it back on the rail and puts the big towel on Confused urghhh

TheBooMonster · 02/12/2014 18:10

I was convinced I was having a boy because my symptoms have been much worse than last time, and I'm showing so much more, but I was completely wrong, lol

oh no Laurenamium I'm suddenly infinitely suspicious of the hand towel in our bathroom! though DH has a bit of a tendency to stand legs akimbo in the bedroom drying himself, so perhaps my hand towels are safe... Why can't men dry like normal people?!
