Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 16th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 33rd outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates! It's a bit quiet at the moment, but with all these upduffed viroids hopefully it won't be for long!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

So, roll call below please, viroids!

furry it's ness who's little boy has tongue tie. Although to be fair I think Eli may have slight tt to just undiagnosed which led to the failure of bf :(

Nessalina · 01/12/2014 19:29

Yep, it was J with the TT Furry, what do you want to know? Smile

ZylaB · 01/12/2014 19:56

DH just earnt himself a massive pile of brownie points! Im not a skinny thing unfortunately and I asked him if he thought id lost a bit of weight around my hips and arse and he replied with 'yes I'd noticed that, your bum is always lovely but it's been looking particularly pert recently!'

I melted :)

FurryScoob · 01/12/2014 19:59

Thanks ness just wanted to know Is the op as quick & simple as breastfeeding counsellor has said & how easy was it to continue breastfeeding after? Midwives spent the entire time I was pregnant telling me how nipple shields will put a baby off a real nipple but I need to use them now to get food into Skyla.

TT seems to be a common reason for babies to not bf very well but they don't seem to check for it around here. You did well to bf as long as you did cookie, breastfeeding counsellor was amazed im still going, my nipples are in pieces! I would of switched to formula today if it hadn't of been found.

laurenamium · 01/12/2014 20:21

DP has just rang and asked me my ring size Shock he's setting me up for disappointment this Christmas isn't he! Grin

ZylaB · 01/12/2014 20:33

Oooh lauren!!!

Nessalina · 01/12/2014 20:34

Ok, caught up! I think... I keep reading bits then getting distracted and not getting chance to post and forgetting what I've read!!

Furry - yes, it's incredibly simple! The doctor literately takes a little pair of scissors and does one cut to open up the tie. J cried for about 10secs, and was fine! They asked if we wanted to BF straight away and showed us to a little private room, and we had a go but couldn't get him latched. But bar some blood in his mouth he was fine!
We've been using nipple shields right from the start coz he couldn't get on without one, and after the snip we tried for a few days to BF without, but it was tricky. He'd go on when he was chilled / not too hungry, so second boob was ok, but getting him on the first when he was hungry was so hard, that we gave up pretty quickly to be honest... He's getting on well with the nipple shield, eating regular, putting on weight, and it's so much easier to latch him on, that I figured why not just carry on? Midwives have encouraged us to try to wean him off them, but no one has actually been able to tell us why they're 'bad'! My nips are in good condition, and he's happy.

Amazing sleeps for Eli cookie! I'm sooo jealous Grin

La, really hope you're feeling ok, glad that they're moved your scan forward. Hoping you get a nice clear view of miniLa tomorrow to put you at ease. It's so hard getting to 'milestone' moments when there's been issues before, I was absolutely terrified before our 12 week scan with J that they were going to find a problem, and the relief once it was done was amazing!

Fresh, how lovely to have the same midwife again! And great that she's so supportive Smile

Gosh Boo, that's a bit scary! The Toni's for me were never painful, just a weird tightening feeling, but I did get owchy cervix feelings late on that felt like my cervix was being poked, and I also got bad round ligament pain, which was kind of like a killer stitch Confused

Hurrah for an awesome day Lauren! And more good news to come...???Smile That's a relief to have a replacement - I love that someone you don't even know is ok with taking a risk on you, but your mate wasn't Hmm

Zyla - Best. Compliment. Ever! I long to be pert Grin

We had good news here today work-wise, DH has another long term supply contract agreed for the new year - he'll be working afternoons covering maternity Smile Which is fab, coz no early mornings for him after sleepless nights!

I'm impressed at you organised Xmas folks! We're not having a tree this year coz the place we'd usually have it is where the nursing chair now lives! Confused And I have ALL the presents to get still... On the plus side, I was worried about affording Xmas, but having hardly left the house in a month, I've never been so flush! lol. It won't last...

wilmabedrock · 01/12/2014 20:59

Fx Lauren! Do people actually know their ring size?

I have finally made a dent in the Christmas shopping today. Wish I could have mulled wine to celebrate.

TheBooMonster · 01/12/2014 21:08

oooooh lauren that's a bit exciting. Fingers are different sizes aren't they so he must have been after a specific fingers size... unless I just have freaky fingers...

passes wil some mulled punch

wilmabedrock · 01/12/2014 21:19

Ah thanks! Is mulled punch any good? Was going to buy some but didn't want to be disappointed.

RPopz · 01/12/2014 21:31

Oh Furry how bloody annoying!! Poor little Skyla. Hope all's sorted quickly now they've found out what's going on.

Yep Pis this is my last week so should shut up whinging really haha!

I have cravings Zyla ... kind of. In the first trim it was just stuff I'd get in my head that I thought would make me less nauseous - usually salty carbs. Now it just tends to be sugar/ junk... Confused Quick high energy stuff I guess. Congrats on your great arse Wink Now I want rice pudding..... Angry

Oooh exciting times Lauren! I've no bloody idea what my ring size is... no idea how DH picked my engagement ring. He was only one size out though Shock

These Scottish faces are cracking me up! Grin

How you feeling La?

laurenamium · 01/12/2014 21:32

Excellent news about your DHs job ness Grin so are you splitting your maternity then and going back a bit sooner/ swapping with DP?

Wil I have no idea of my ring size! I said ill have to get it measured and let him know! I think it'll be more likely an eternity type ring over an engagement one, mainly because we couldn't afford a wedding at the minute and I don't think he would like a long engagement...ill get him the engagement ring finger size and if its an eternity or random costume jewellery I can wear it on my other hand Grin

Mulled punch? Is this a non alcoholic Christmas drink?!

wilmabedrock · 01/12/2014 21:43

Ha we've been engaged forever Lauren. I can't really convince myself to be arsed about getting married much to both our parents' disgust.

I saw non-alcoholic mulled punch in a shop the other week. Hadn't heard of it before.

DulcetMoans · 01/12/2014 21:46

Ooooooh. lauren! Exciting, whichever way it goes I am sure it will be lovely. Smile

More aversions than cravings here zyla but a couple of things I 'had' to have and then couldn't finish - like doughnuts! Congrats on the fab beehind though! Wink

Glad you have a scan in early la. Hope you can sleep tonight! Fx for everything!

Appointment was last Monday popz. You're right, I'll wait another week!

TheBooMonster · 01/12/2014 21:54

It is indeed a non-alcoholic Christmas drink! I found it in Tesco, Asda apparently sell it but they replaced it with Mulled Wine on my online order! I am yet to try it because I've been making my way through Apple juice with Tesco's version of extra special Mulled Wine spices which has been beautiful.

wilmabedrock · 01/12/2014 22:08

Hot?

fattycow · 01/12/2014 22:20

Hello viroids, how is everyone?

Nessalina · 02/12/2014 03:18

Lauren - no fear, I'm having the whole year mat leave Grin
DH quit his teaching job at the end of last school year with the aim to retrain in a new field, but so we don't starve we decided it best that he do supply part time whilst retraining in his spare time. It's worked ok so far, and we've been super lucky that he's been given short term contracts so far rather than taking day to day jobs. The only PITA is that he doesn't get paid for his 2 weeks pat leave, Xmas hol, or sick days! Confused But the flexibility is worth it Smile

Nessalina · 02/12/2014 03:20

Good thanks fatty Smile Just feeding my very snotty baby. Poor thing is grunting like a little piglet!

Minion · 02/12/2014 05:07

Morning girls.
ness snotty hee too... Booo!
Thank you for all your kind words and wishes, I have passed them on to my family. Just got to sort out funeral etc, and both mine and husbands families are supremely concerned about me going into labour during the service.
I'm ok, getting through it though.

Still reading etc and wish la a fabulous scan today and hope all babies with suspected TT get snipped ASAP xx

Min, you sound so strong, I'm in awe. I wasn't very good at helping with anything when I lost my Dad. Hope Minion stays put for a while Thanks .

Hi Fatty. How are you?

What's Mr Ness retraining as?

Yuck, should be up by now, want to cry at the thought of it!

laurenamium · 02/12/2014 07:04

Thanks Min, I too hope that miniMin stays put!

That's good ness that he will be around a bit more to help! It seems like a lot of teachers are quitting and retraining these days...makes me glad I never got into it after qualifying but does make me panic a bit about what I'll do long term for work when my DC get older!

Good luck today la! What time is your scan?

Leela5 · 02/12/2014 07:40

Morning grad viroids! I'm absolutely bricking it in anticipation of this scan. Good side to that is it's cleaned me out through nerves as I was worried I'd be constipated and she'd not be able to see anything. I just keep thinking oh my god what if it's like last time and there's suspected ectopic - or no baby!? I don't think I could cope :( but I'm focussing on my symptoms which are strong and hoping this means good.

I'm hoping they will find I'm further along (we've only guessed because of mc) because I want 12 week scan before Christmas. So we can just relax at Christmas.

Lauren ooh to ring size! You can do it yourself with bit of paper and ruler but better to go and get measured at jeweller. I was an N I think

I love the thought of baby putting up pictures, scattering cushions etc. going to keep that in my head. I just feel like I need to do a big poo! I read a website by a dr that said a lot of the cramps are practice labour pains.

Dh is still snoring and we need to leave at 8:30. I really hate going to epu after last time.

min this is an awful time for you, I hope you're getting lots of cuddles and some rest. How is minimin feeling?

ness feeding a snotty baby doesn't sound fun, poor mite!

I'd never heard of TT until I was on here, that's really useful to know. Hope Skylar gets sorted.

Hi fatty how are you?

I have had the odd craving. At mums I wanted tomato juice. Now I'm not interested in it. Last night I was really upset that we didn't have any ice lollies. I've gone off a lot of stuff

Nessalina · 02/12/2014 07:53

Glad your scan is early at least La! Update us immediately after you're done! Grin

DH is retraining as a computer programmer! All self taught from home. There's loads of resources online, and he's so keen, he's already learnt a lot and done some small jobs which is fab Smile

Min - great to hear from you, stay strong xxThanksxx I'm sure miniMin won't make an entrance until you're ready for him/her. I bet you get back home in a week or so, relax, and things get moving then. When's the funeral? Xx

ChatEnOeuf · 02/12/2014 08:05

Ooh, lovely ring shopping, Lauren! That sounds great. I think I'm a J but it's so long since I bought a ring or anyone did that I've forgotten.

GOOD LUCK today La Hope the womble-lodger is really there and you are reassured. For at least a week or so.

Mulled punch, sounds interesting. I am seriously considering simmering the mulled wine for several minutes to evaporate off the alcohol. Anyone know how long it would take vs how bad the resulting product would taste? I'm not even sure I could stomach it, DH's red wine breath yesterday made me want to slap him Blush

Hi Fatty, I'm OK, how are you?

Hope the snotty babes keep out of trouble.

Min, still in our thoughts here Flowers
