Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 16th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 33rd outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates! It's a bit quiet at the moment, but with all these upduffed viroids hopefully it won't be for long!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

So, roll call below please, viroids!

My scan has been moved to tomorrow morning because epu are not happy with me getting these cramps. They are pretty much constant :(

ZylaB · 01/12/2014 14:38

min so sorry for your loss xxx

la try not to fret, some people ache and cramp when they would have had AF every month, some people bleed every month. I know it won't stop you worrying but try not to let the scanxiety get too much.

cookie that's an ace sleep!

lauren you should just ask them if they meant to be so rude! Or when they got their medical degree and where they specialised in obstetrics ;)

ZylaB · 01/12/2014 14:40

Fx la at least it's just one more sleep until scan now xxx

FurryScoob · 01/12/2014 14:54

So sorry min Flowers glad you got to say goodbye x

laurenamium · 01/12/2014 15:15

It's good that epu are taking you seriously la, fx everything is fine and its just banging about getting comfy in there. I imagine them hanging photos on the wall and positioning their chair and bookshelves...all that wriggling can't be comfy for the house Wink

Leela5 · 01/12/2014 15:36

I know - I do feel positive about this one and I'm sure it must be wind or something, but I'll not relax until I see a baby.

Cookie I can't believe he's big enough for rolling already :)

ChatEnOeuf · 01/12/2014 15:43

La hopefully everything is fine and normal. My CL was huge with DD and hurt a lot - so much that when I went in having bled and fainted at 7w, they thought I was an ectopic. It was huge on scan, much bigger than the little blobby bean Grin Hope it's something simple like that.

So many rude bump comments! I can't believe people say such things!

Tree is coming down from the loft tonight, very excited! DD and I are decorating it this week. Thoroughly enjoyed the Christmas markets this weekend, have now got most of our presents, just a couple of things to pick up in the UK, and something for FiL, the man who has everything.

freshstart4us · 01/12/2014 16:10

min so sorry for your loss, although it was great that he was lucid and got to say goodbye to those closest to him. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family, and particularly with you and minimin.

la am crossing everything for you, one more sleep and a wonderful scan tomorrow to reassure you.

Had booking in appointment today, the midwife was just lovely and quite weirdly the same one who actually admitted me with DD! She didn't deliver me (really wished she had, she was lovely and very experienced) but she listened and gave a lot of support throughout my appt today as she recognised immediately I have a lot of regret about last time and anxiety about this time. Referred me for a review of my last birth with the supervisor of midwives, and a couple of other additional things which makes me feel very happy and well-looked after immediately. EDD now 17 June, so I'm 11+5. I asked to listen to the heartbeat but she said it was still too early. One more week till scan, wish I had a tardis!!!

TheBooMonster · 01/12/2014 16:15

Oh min I'm so sorry for your loss, as others have said at least he was surrounded by family and went peacefully.

rpopz In reference to the conversation about pumps from days and days ago, i'm just catching up some electric pumps can be converted into manual pumps. the TT manual pump is seriously crap, I had bought myself one of those ready for DD and I didn't get anything out with it despite managing to hand express, the hospital grade medela symphony pump was a life saver, but I'm not keen on renting so this time we've gone for the Ardo Calypso and a kit for converting it to a manual just in case I need to use it out and about.

had anyone experienced branston hicks as a sharp pain followed by lower bump cramping? I know the hicks aren't meant to hurt but just be uncomfortable though my body turns most discomfort straight into pain...

wilmabedrock · 01/12/2014 16:32

I wouldn't say I get a sharp pain but the cramping is at bottom of bump. I probably would describe it as uncomfortable rather than painful but it can be very uncomfortable and if I have one when I'm walking I find it difficult to keep going. Where is the pain you get? It could be to do with baby's position, maybe the contraction makes it push against a nerve or something?

La I have been really achy and sore throughout pg. I think it is mostly to do with my digestive system. Do you feel worse after eating?

RPopz · 01/12/2014 16:40

Only one more sleep then La! Grin How exciting Smile

Leela5 · 01/12/2014 16:47

Yes - worse after lunch and at night. I'm hoping it's poo/wind

Leela5 · 01/12/2014 16:47

(That was a weird sentence!)

Pisghetti · 01/12/2014 16:50

Isn't this your last week before mat leave Popz? Hope the next couple of hours go quickly!

Gx for tomorrow La! lauren that's a great image - little embryos airing the place out and rearranging the furniture Grin

I don't remember getting Toni Braxtons I could feel with DS. I did used to sometimes notice my bump was harder than usual and assumed that was what was happening. Haven't had anything noticeable this time around yet. I hope my uterus knows what to do this time though and doesn't keep me waiting Hmm

My hotel room doesn't have a bath #firstworldproblems so I'll mostly be hanging out in bed this evening. I have a networking event to go to first. Couldn't want to do anything less but need to show willing. Will be escaping at the first available opportunity!

Pisghetti · 01/12/2014 16:52

Um what are these all about Confused ??

wilmabedrock · 01/12/2014 17:01

Hahhaa is that a wee Tam face for St Andrew's day? Class.

La honestly if I eat a lot I feel dreadful and can really struggle to walk sometimes. I didn't know what it was for ages but then kind of realised it felt more stomachy than pregnanty if that makes sense. Have you tried having some Rennies?

Pisghetti · 01/12/2014 17:09

Ah that explains it - thanks Wil Grin

ChatEnOeuf · 01/12/2014 17:13

My Braxtons with DD were painless but breathtaking. My bump went all weird-shaped and hard, usually after a period of time spend working too hard!

Token angry scot face Angry - will have to find a use for that!

laurenamium · 01/12/2014 17:14

Glad your booking in app went well fresh Grin do you have a scan soon? Are you one of my scan buddies for Monday?

I'm having a good day today, got finished work early, managed to get DD to lay in my bed watching a film for a whole hour while I napped neglectful, got to the stables and my DM had done half the jobs so I only had 2 horses to muck out. And now my Step dad is making me and DD our tea Grin I've managed to secure another mindee between now and maternity leave so that's the money lost through my friend pulling her child out early recovered Smile

wilmabedrock · 01/12/2014 17:16

That's great Lauren.

Are you coming back to the UK for Christmas Chat?

ZylaB · 01/12/2014 17:24

Is there a particular time during gp that people get cravings? I don't think I've really had one yet, but developed a bit of a doughnut infatuation over the weekend and also really really fancy rice pudding, almost enough for me to go out in the cold to get some. The problem with these is they're really carby which will mean extra insulin!

TheBooMonster · 01/12/2014 17:26

wil it's quite low down, roughly where I imagine my cervix to be, I have 'elements of chronic pain syndrome' so I get a pretty out of proportion pain response to stuff which I assume is why it hurts, it's not painful enough for me to lean towards thinking it's a UTI because I ended up in hospital on morphine last time I had a UTI >.

wilmabedrock · 01/12/2014 17:37

Ah ok, that probably explains it Boo. Def chat to midwife if it's bothering you though.

Think I got very mild cravings for things in first two trimesters but they were never like you see on the telly. Suppose I do still get a wee notion for things sometimes but it's more like fruit when I'm thirsty etc so totally understandable.

ChatEnOeuf · 01/12/2014 17:37

I really love rice pudding, I just can't tolerate the milk right now. Hopefully soon I'll be back on it :) I never had too many cravings - I ate a surprising amount of yogurt, given how much I dislike it usually. They can represent low iron which I was lucky to avoid so maybe that's why.

I am coming home this Christmas, Wil. DH has no-one coming into the office here so it'll be really quiet - so he's "WFH" for a couple of days over the festive period. But we're here for the whole of DD's holidays which will lovely, allowing us to catch up with pretty much all of our close friends and family. Driving back though, so bit of LHD car on UK roads anxiety! DH will be doing the bulk of the driving I expect. Next year, all being well there will be a 4yo and a 6m old so I'll be aiming to drag the whole family here. We'll see if that happens...

FurryScoob · 01/12/2014 18:52

ness cookie was it one of your DS's that had tongue tie? Can I be a pain & ask you a few questions?
After nearly 2 weeks of insisting DD isn't feeding properly I finally got to see a breastfeeding counsellor who diagnosed tongue tie within 30 seconds of seeing DD. Sad
