Hi everyone,

I've been on the June thread but my 12 week scan today has given me a due date of 29th May. I'm going to be having an ELCS (previous ELCS due to breech baby) so it'll probably be a week earlier. I hope you don't mind me joining in here too.

Mslad · 21/11/2014 14:27

Welcome cup hope you've been having a stress free pregnancy so far?

Great news snooky I wonder would they have told you if you were borderline low risk? So the fact that they just said low risk might be a good thing?

Mslad · 21/11/2014 14:41

Oh I mean to ask- I'm someone who hasn't exercised in months, but had to really sprint for my train this afternoon, do you think that could cause problems or am I just looking for things to worry about?

Smileysar1 · 21/11/2014 17:24

Hi all
I think I've started to feel the baby move....not quite sure it doesn't feel like wind. I'm only 15+2 so I think this is probably too early. I can't remember when I felt first movements with my son the first time around.
Has anyone else felt anything? Do you think I'm probably imagining it????

piglet81 · 21/11/2014 17:49

Hi Smileysar, the past few days I've been wondering if I can feel the baby moving (I'm 16+1) - in my yoga class last night I think there was something going on but it might just have been my insides reacting to the yoga movements. I really don't know, as it's my first! Am desperate to feel it though - think it'll be really reassuring (unless it then stops again, of course...).

cuphat · 21/11/2014 18:25

Thanks Mslad. I've had a very easy pregnancy so far, with no nausea/sickness, however that has led to a lot of anxiety! It appears I've just been lucky though and I can relax a little more now.

Chookford · 21/11/2014 19:38

Hi ladies

Am I ok to join too? I am on the June thread but my actual due date is 24th May so will straddle both threads if that's ok?!

mumxof3x · 21/11/2014 20:18

Welcome cup and chook :)

Great news on all low risks.

Smiley, its definately not too early with your second to feel bby move...it gets earlier each time. Im 14+3 with 4th and feel little movements :)

Kyz · 21/11/2014 20:24

Hi all :)

sunshine i too have no preference but refer to baby as he when i'm thinking about it, and may have said he once or twice, I think i'm having a boy but don't mind either way.

My 20 week NHS scan is 12th Jan, but i've got the private scan on 18th Dec so that's something to look forward to a little closer, and my 16 week appt is 10th Dec so even closer still. I forgot to mention though i've got to see haematology this coming wednesday because I have protein S deficiency. I'll have a few appts with them but fingers crossed i'm still healthy enough not to be considered a high risk pregnancy. With DS I just had to have daily fragmin injections for a week post birth. My poor mum had to have them for 6 weeks either side of my youngest two sisters births, she was black and blue by the time she'd done!

snooky that's great news :)

brill tits glad your appt went well :)

waves to cuphat and chook :)

Chookford · 21/11/2014 20:38

Thanks mum

Hi kyz!

BeanCalledPickle · 21/11/2014 20:50

Hey cup hat:-)

I had my sixteen week today. Child doctor wouldn't listen to heartbeat in case she couldn't find it. Sucks! Did book my section though, for May 1st. So that's cool.

Only weird thing is elevated ALT on liver function test, if medical people out there understand that! Didn't seem too worried but all tests repeated. Nuchal was 1:28000, contrasted with 1:40000 last time!!

LinaDee · 21/11/2014 21:33

Good evening!
Had my 16 week app today with mw.
Heard a lovely wee heart beat at 158bpm!!! So fast! Haha!

On cloud 9 tonight now as I was starting to feel a bit anxious again Hmm

Sunshinesaz86 · 21/11/2014 22:06

It's weird isn't it kyz are u going to find out the sex?

Kyz · 21/11/2014 22:30

I think so sunshine are you? Sorry if you've said already. I didn't want to BUT dp does, it is probably more practical for us and it'll be nice to say to DS baby brother or sister. I also enjoyed being able to say he with ds :)

Sunshinesaz86 · 21/11/2014 22:34

Yeah there's definitley positives with finding out, but no I think we're have a surprise. As it's out first as well, however saying that it is sooo tempting to find out, it'll be hard saying no on the 20 week scan! Grin

cuphat · 21/11/2014 23:07

Thanks everyone and hey bean Smile

Titsalinabumsquash · 22/11/2014 02:05

ARGH! I'm wide awake contemplating the layout of my house, wether to stay put and gut it out and really put the £ in to make a small but workable house we already have. The area isn't ideal but not unpleasant iyswim, no parks/shops or spaces for the kids to play footie or anything un supervised, we do have direct assess to the train station and there are shops 5 min drive and a tiny park across the train line but I worry the kids aren't having a chance to gain any independence as they get older like their friends at school are, they can't for instance walk to a local shop with their pocket money or go to a park without everyone going as a family, which is alright now but DS1 is getting to an age where he's not going to want to do that soon and all their friends are 15 minute drive away In 'ideal location' (see below)

OR, we could try and get an exchange but the area we'd want/need that would be ideal would likely take a very long time to get, be more expensive and we'd have to do up this place enough in the mean time to tempt a swap before then doing up any house we exchanged too, plus we have to have a couple of criteria in any new house such as downstairs toilet for DS1 and decent parking (same reason)

Sorry, I know that's not baby related but I can't seem to make head nor tail of it and I keep going. Round in circles.

Are you renting from a housing association Tits? Sounds like a swap would be a good move for you without losing the security of a HA tenancy.

My son is six now and I dread when he wants to go out alone, I'm very anxious about it. I was the same with my little brother who is 12 yrs younger. He would be out playing and I would be constantly checking on him. I think it's important for kids to have their independence so it is an important consideration.

Titsalinabumsquash · 22/11/2014 04:30

I am with HA but people just dint want to move out of the area we want to get closer to, there is another area that we could look at, I grew up there and there is more child friendly stuff and there is another secondary the other side that's fairly good but the public transport is dire so I'd still have to drive everyone everywhere, we do at least have trains here.

Between

where we are now (A)
Ideal location (B)
My home village (C)

They all have plus points but also they all come with some hefty downsides.
I think I'll have to have a long discussion with DP tonight whilst out on our "date" Smile

tits could you put in for a swap and just see what happens. Always hard trying to make a decision before you really know what your options are.

I am in paris today! Celebrating my mum's 70th. Shattered though as dd was up half the night which is really unlike her these days. Reminder of things to come I suppose.

Chookford · 22/11/2014 10:42

tits I agree with longest put in for a swap and then see what happens, you may find that a decision is made for you that way?

Can I ask ladies is anyone else suffering from really itchy boobs? Mine are driving me insane and nothing seems to be helping in relieving the itch except scratching!

Chookford · 22/11/2014 10:43

longest enjoy Paris, what a lovely way to spend a Saturday!

Ameilius · 22/11/2014 11:16

I not posted for a couple of weeks or so, but I'm back now!

Been feeling so awful and being so sick I just haven't been able to enjoy being pregnant or looking forward to having a baby at all.. But, the sickness seems to have lessened (now on second day of not throwing up!) and so starting to feel more positive! Smile

It's lovely to start to see everyone having 16wks appointments and hearing heartbeats! We don't have 16wks appointments here but just have the anomaly/gender scan at 18wks - mine is next week! Think that will make it feel more 'real', I can't wait to find out what we're having!

Hope everyone has a lovely Saturday morning - my awesome DH is in the kitchen making me waffles for breakfast! So I get to catch up on thread-reading Grin

Scottishgal78 · 22/11/2014 11:52

Anyone else had this? Woke up a good few times last night with pins and needles at one point on the left hand side of my stomach. Pin and needle really as was at one specific point! Weird. Dr Google telling me it's baby on a nerve but I'm only 14 weeks - would he be big enough to do this?

SmileyScooby · 22/11/2014 11:53

Chookford I've had itchy boobs this week on and off, kinda awkward trying to nudge them discretely whilst teaching hehe
