Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 14th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 29th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates! It's a bit quiet at the moment, but with all these upduffed viroids hopefully it won't be for long!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

So, roll call below please, viroids!

I don't count the kicks and I have to say, the people who I know who do seem to have an increased anxiety about the whole thing as a result!! I felt like it was something I should be doing, but I'm not even sure how I would! I'd like to think intuitiveness would kick in... I know basically what times s/he's most active so I'd worry if I felt nothing then. Couldn't be doing with downloading apps and counting 100 separate movements or whatever it is!! Just my two pennerth Smile

RPopz · 01/11/2014 08:22

Also don't they tell you to start counting at 25 weeks now or something? I was still feeling quite light and subtle movements then (not like the punches and kicks I get now!!) - and with working and being on my feet walking around all day I could easily go a whole day thinking I hadn't felt a movement - when actually I just wouldn't have noticed it.

TheBooMonster · 01/11/2014 10:49

I don't think I counted the kicks with DD, if i realised I hadn't felt anything for a while I'd sit the cat on the bump and give him fuss, his purring would vibrate my stomach and she'd start giving him a serious kick!

Think WoW broke my Mac :( I'm now macless till at least my appointment on Wednesday when I drag the whole machine in on the bus (in DD's tank because it's bloody heavy so she'll have to stay with DH, what a shame) and I've been saying for months it was unhealthy. To say I'm in a grump is an understatement! Now have potentially an entire week at home with DH with no computer, so I'll end up on 24-7 DD duty whilst he plays mine craft, or whatever game is flavour of the week >.> and this week that he'd booked off specially for boarding the loft so we could clear the 3rd bedroom and turn it into a guest / craft / bump storage room is going to amount to nothing as his parents are both too unwell to come over and he can't / won't do it by himself. I am dreading this week already grump

wilmabedrock · 01/11/2014 10:51

I think that's the advice these days Popz, just to contact midwife if you notice any change in the pattern of the movement. Although this includes an increase in movement so all a bit confusing Confused . I agree that in a first pg, it's quite hard to tell.

MiniWil is a devil today. I blame Halloween.

Nessalina · 01/11/2014 10:56

Morning all Smile

The CTK stuff really freaks me out. It always makes me stop and check if he's moving, and if he isn't at that precise moment then I worry! Confused And a watched baby never squirms!
I know it's good to raise awareness of these things, but I'm so paranoid already...

Oh god Boo that sounds AWFUL Confused
How stingy is your bloke? If he says he's not going to do it on his own I'd start ringing round to get quotes for someone to board it out for you. It might galvanise him into action, and if it doesn't then go through with it and just pay someone (from joint funds obvs!!). We paid £600 for someone to board out our loft, that included a new hatch cutting, and installing, with an integral ladder putting in, a light going in, and rejigging of insulation up there. Best money I've ever spent!

Can't believe WoW broke your mac Blush

DP is meant to be boarding out my loft soon. I have boxes of text books and folders from Uni hanging around the lounge until he does. I think he's stalling to try and annoy me into throwing them out. Not gonna happen..... It doesn't look like a fun job screwing all the legs to the joists but he does seem happiest with drill in hand. That seems like a really good deal Ness did it include all the materials (I.e. Ladder and boards) too?

Nessalina · 01/11/2014 12:53

Yep, that was all in. Up until then we'd been spending £50 per month on a self storage unit, so it paid for itself in storage savings!

nes PiL are convinced it's an important life skill that DH has to learn so want to do it themselves, and tbh the boards aren't that expensive compared to labour costs, so I'd rather he did it sometime this century and I had the extra money towards overly expensive tech :p

laurenamium · 01/11/2014 14:39

I want my loft converting to another bedroom. That would make me happy... Maybe in another life time Grin

Just back from the hairdressers. DD got her first ever hair cut (she's nearly 4) and I'm all sorted ready for Mils wedding reception tonight, they married abroad so it's just a big celebration party thing. Can pregnant people wear dresses above their knee? I'm panicking about clothes Confused

RPopz · 01/11/2014 14:41

Haha Lauren! - I accidentally wore a dress well over my knee for a friends wedding last month. It was a pre-pregnancy dress, not very fitted but I drastically underestimated the effect of my bump on the length! Grin Oops.

In other news, I think I need to seek help for my addiction to Laura Ashley bedding....

wilmabedrock · 01/11/2014 16:20

You totally can Lauren. I hate the length of all maternity occasion dresses. Like we want to wear things which stop halfway down our calves. I am a short arse though so that may be partly my fault.

You've just reminded me I need to look for a new bed Popz.

laurenamium · 01/11/2014 16:44

I love bedding. I have far too much of it! I've settled on posh leggings and heels while I still can

DP is in the pub Hmm I've just rang him and he said he's not going to his DMs until I get there so I can "mask him being drunk with my pregnantness" Hmm I'm very glad I decided against bringing DD!

splodge77 · 01/11/2014 17:59

Hi all, ugh knackered after last nights annoying insomnia & munchies episode, finally got to sleep just in time for DS to come in & jump on my head. Groan. Nice friend has lent me maternity trousers today. Such a relief to get me bloated belly into them. Phew! Hope u all had good halloweeny wknds.

splodge77 · 01/11/2014 18:00

Had?! I mean are having... My addled brain thought it was Sunday for a minute then. I need bed.

TheBooMonster · 01/11/2014 18:34

Lauren I have this piece of maternity clothing that I've never been able to decide whether it's a dress or a top, I have taken to wearing leggings with it, but no one says anything if I wear it with tights...

fattycow · 01/11/2014 18:36

How are you ladies with bras? Mine are killing me, so I need to buy some new ones. Not happy about it, as my normal size is a pain to get, so now it will be nearly impossible. Also, I don't have that much spare cash and any bra that fits will probably be quite expensive. Sad

wilmabedrock · 01/11/2014 18:46

That's crap Fatty. I've not been too bad this time round but last time I had to get comfy ones almost straight away. Maybe some cheaper ones online? Alot of maternity bras are cheaper than normal ones as no underwire etc. If you're thinking of bf, maybe buy nursing bras so you don't end up buying two lots?

fattycow · 01/11/2014 18:48

I was thinking of nursing bras, but my size is just terrible to get over here.

Nessalina · 01/11/2014 18:56

I really recommend these M&S bras fatty. They're not pregnancy specific so the price is ok, £18 a piece, and they go up to a K cup! The one I've linked is GG-K and only available online but they also do the same one in smaller sizes in store and online.

OP posts:
fattycow · 01/11/2014 19:02

I should have added that I'm not in the UK. Brands over here hardly stock my regular size (32E), so I can forget anything bigger for a reasonable price!

wilmabedrock · 01/11/2014 19:14

I think m&s do either cheap or free international delivery if you spend a certain amount. Jesus it's hard to get a 32e??? I'd be screwed.

fattycow · 01/11/2014 19:18

Yep, 32E is already nearly impossible, so now that I need at least an F, I'm screwed as well. I conceived in the UK, wish I had known! I would have taken some bras back with me!

fattycow · 01/11/2014 19:19

The problem with bras for me is more in the 32, not in the cups. Cups are available in many sizes, but not with a band a small as 32...

Nessalina · 01/11/2014 19:27

Is this a stealth boast?? Grin I sympathise, bras are always a bugger to get right, and if you want the best fit you really do pay through the nose for it Sad Where in the world are you? Smile
