My baby jogger is green, which I chose precisely because it was gender neutral.

Debating whether or not to get a buggy board. Ds hasn't been in the buggy since he was about 2 and a half but he had a go on the buggy board on my friend's pram and he loved it so he keeps asking if we're getting one for our pram. I don't think we'd use it that much though.

Teal is a lovely colour and perfect for a girl too. Go with what you want!
Still feeling exhausted after the epic shopping spree yesterday. It's our first wedding anniversary today though so looking forward to a pub lunch and a walk/waddle in the countryside. Can't believe how quickly the last year has gone and that I'm 6 months pregnant with our first baby!

CatFaceCrayola · 31/08/2014 11:22

Teal is perfectly unisex. Most colours are to be honest. (if I don't find a cheaper plan) we're going for the plum sort of coloured xpedior . My dad did the "it's a bit girly if your next child is a boy" thing... Told him (very nicely) to sod off ;)

I'm feeling pretty lousy again today. Aching all over, including a pounding head. Feeling a bit nauseous again too. All with added crazy hormones making me feel crappier . Am trying to find something to do/somebody to keep me distracted for the next few days before I return to work.

26weeks today :)

CatFaceCrayola · 31/08/2014 11:23

Happy Anniversary Hug monster! Enjoy your day

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 31/08/2014 13:17

Happy anniversary!

I am in the middle of a massive declutter, having convinced DP that it needs to be done. Everything is everywhere. I am zen. I am calm... I am medicated Grin

CatFaceCrayola · 31/08/2014 14:43

Managed to persuade DH to start binning his tat (that is currently in what will be the nursery). He made a decent start but has now given up and is watching a film :(

My back and hips seem more painful than normal today. Don't handle sitting still doing nothing well though. And I have no patience for films!

Lucy90 · 31/08/2014 15:14

Had a bit of a fright last night with some pinkish discharge (sorry if tmi!!) OH took me to the hospital and it turns out its just a urine infection and baby is all okay! Felt a bit silly when we found out what it was because id gotten myself into a right state!
Hope everyone is having a nice weekend, im in work all day :(

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 31/08/2014 15:42

I am no longer calm. Everything is chaos....

SassehMonsta · 31/08/2014 16:37

Heartburn. Blergh. Need ranitidine please.

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 31/08/2014 18:36

BHLS you've inspired me into a bit of nesting this afternoon. I washed up and wiped all the surfaces and made a cake Shock now back to playing video games, though.
DH has been building his new computer all day, which he's waited all week to do, so I've had plenty of time to myself.
My brother and sister surprised me today by offering to buy us a cot! I'm speechless, it's so generous of them! Literally everything we have, bar clothes, is second hand, so it will be really lovely to have one new thing for the baby. My sister asked me for hints on what features I'm after but they're going to surprise us Smile I said we'd buy the mattress as they're expensive and DH will want the very best!
Neighbours were banging again today, so I was playing music loudly to drown them out and the baby was responding. Still feels icky but I'll have to start getting used to it, eh.
Hope everyone is well?

CatFaceCrayola · 31/08/2014 18:42

glad all is well Lucy. not silly at all...i'd have been in a flap too!

I have been tidying and cleaning all pigging day! feeling good for being productive, but am flaming exhausted. Good job DH has a tasty roast dinner nearly ready for me

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 31/08/2014 20:05

Ah Lucy that would have frightened me too! I thought I had the same thing the other day, but it was just the colour of my fingers through the paper ConfusedGrin haaaa.

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 31/08/2014 20:47

Peace That's lovely that you've been offered a cot! People can be so nice sometimes.
Our declutter went ok, Dp listened to me and didnt cause too much chaos.all at once, and everything is back where it should be. Its a start, by no means is this house baby ready but we are getting there. We are going away this week for our last holiday sans baby. It'll be camping again but shouldb e easier as the weather is better. Then back to work Sad

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 31/08/2014 20:48

Lucy I'd have freaked too. Glad everything's ok. xx

CatFaceCrayola · 31/08/2014 20:53

Today really has been a mega-nesting day. Got so much done and feel much better (in the brain) than I would've done had I sat about all day (the body isn't quite as happy with me)
If only nesting was a thing for dads-to-be too!!

Hopefully off to a sling meet tomorrow so I can decide what I want

CatFaceCrayola · 31/08/2014 22:17

For the non FBers...this is what I've been doing with my Sunday night :)

DillieDoily · 31/08/2014 23:33

Thank you for the reassurance - teal is my all time favourite colour and I am obviously a female so I don't know why I listened to these people!
The only thing that is still swaying me to red hood etc is we already have a red footmuff so don't know if that will go with a teal hood and really don't want to have to buy a new footmuff at nearly £100 a pop! Decisions decisions...

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 01/09/2014 05:55

Can anyone recommend a book on babys first year? I have very little family support and am worried about not knowing what to do!

Roonerspism · 01/09/2014 06:17

Lovely cat!

I am not really a FB-er so feel like things have really quietened down since folk moved to that. Ah well... Tis the FB world now....

lucy same thing happened to me in previous pregnancy at 20 weeks -except there was no reason for mine. Was horrible and it didn't happen again. I actually think it was a blood vessel on my cervix. Hope you are fine now.

peace why icky?! ;) you mean the movements? Wait till they start hiccuping incessantly and wriggle manically as if they are grumpy at doing so. It's just plain weird!

Exhausting weekend -elder DC's party which was lovely. If I don't eat regularly though and stand on my feet too long it takes me about 3 hours lying in the sun like a beached whale to recover :)

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 01/09/2014 06:58

Ahh the facebook site isnt that busy either. I just put it down to people being busy at the weekend!

ChineseFireball · 01/09/2014 07:01

Hello ladies...I was on the thread earlier on but just couldn't keep up at all, and EDD is 26/12 so I felt really far behind everyone. It sounds from lurking that everyone is having lovely movements and doing ok although the third trimester niggles are beginning. I've had insomnia since about 8 weeks so I'm sort of used to it now...Although now I'm having to get up for a wee a lot more!
I've seen mention of a FB group...would it be OK to join that? I understand that I'm not really a regular on here so if it's too weird it's fine.
23+3...and after the 20 week scan we are Team Yellow.

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 01/09/2014 07:12

Everyone welcome! Its secret at the minute but opened up when people want to join. I cant remember who opens it though...! It'll come to me I am sure...Grin

MrsW27 · 01/09/2014 07:15

Big hairy I'm reading first time parent by Lucy Atkins and am finding it pretty good

januaryjam · 01/09/2014 08:07

I'd love to join fb group too please, thought I'd missed the boat :) not sure how to find it though once it's opened?

LisaC2611 · 01/09/2014 08:47

Morning all just sitting enjoying my glucose drink for my GTT test. Not as bad as I thought it would be. Worst bit is I'm hungry as I've had to fast since last night.

Fb page is opened up by ladylel although I think there are other admins that can do it.

Had a lovely weekend, cooked a roast yesterday for 7 and sorted hubby's study out so that he's out of the room I want to use for the baby, although did lift quite a few bits that I shouldn't have as it was really heavy furniture. Mum told me offShock

Hope everyone else's weekend was good
