Just Shagging Grads Thread 9 - Roll Up, Roll Up all you graduated Viroids!

HungryHorace · 07/06/2014 21:41

Welcome to the 9th grads thread...celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed. :-)

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 24th outing!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

For those not in the know, a viroid is an autocorrected version of 'ladies' from the 1st JS thread, which then stuck.

So, roll call below please, viroids. :-)

I'm not even going to bother telling you pair off again for venturing out of here Angry .

Haha yeah that would be the extent of MrWil's bathroom 'cleaning' as well.

Have to go out and I want to go but so tired.

Nessalina · 22/06/2014 15:37

Back from Mothercare with shiny new bras! Took off my old bra to put a new one on, and DH was like 'woah! Hot cross baps!' Hmm Thanks mate Confused

RPopz · 22/06/2014 15:42

Haha not me this time Wil!! Its pretty ropey in there at the minute Dulce, I've vowed to stay out until Wednesday!

DH is a half assed cleaner as well Ness, I almost prefer to do it all myself (almost... Wink )

Seem to have acquired some massive bras and elasticated linen trousers from my Mum's haha! Saw Dad and he all but blanked me so.... he is still non the wiser about the pg situation. Ho hum.

DulcetMoans · 22/06/2014 16:33

I don't normally go in there now wil but I was waiting for a coach!

Weds is so close now popz! Decided what you will do with the rest of your day off?

No parcel when I got back horace but expect it will come tomorrow!

Love hot cross baps nessa. Do they measure you in mothercare at all? Don't expect they do but just wondered! There's a mothercare evening thing here this week but think it might be a little early!

cookielove · 22/06/2014 16:34

I'm back from LA and god I am so tired!

Weighed myself earlier, it's not good, but meh!!

Ankles are all swollen again, they had just calmed down from flying out, luckily not so bad this time.

I too got the wetness down below, its nice to hear others have had it to and it's not just me!

Minion · 22/06/2014 16:47

Oooh lurvley sale in mam and paps today. Picked up 2 Christmas sleep suits and some Christmas socks, £10.99 in all, fab bargains! We also got some bootie types footwear in Italy so hopefully little pear will wear that coming out of hospital.
It's getting a wee bit real now.

HungryHorace · 22/06/2014 17:23

That's annoying, Dulcet...clearly first class post isn't that reliable. :-/

Mothercare do measure for bras, Dulcet. I got Blooming Marvellous ones which are great.

We've had DD's birthday BBQ today and I'm exhausted! I've been on my feet what feels like all weekend and I need sleep!

Hope everyone else has enjoyed the weather.

DulcetMoans · 22/06/2014 18:02

Oh don't worry horace, I have a theory our postie doesn't bother around here towards the end of the week - we can get nothing for a couple days then everything together dated from week before. Stupid really!

Great day for birthday BBQ too horace. Hope you had family fun!

Those scales lie cookie. They are all in on it. Hope your feet recover soon.

Christmas sleep suits min - squeeeee!

wilhelmeaner · 22/06/2014 18:19

Hehe are you a bit of a shopaholic Min?

How was L.A. Cookie?

Are the boobs no better Ness?

I feel rank today Sad

RPopz · 22/06/2014 18:51

Not sure yet Dulce - though we've got a plasterer coming so no chance of peace and quiet whatever I do!!

How was LA cookie?

Sorry you're feeling crappy Wil. I'm just starting to feel better and its a bloody relief! So I feel for you lady. Hopefully won't last much longer for you.

Mum today has proclaimed I have a bump already! (I don't lol) and that I must be having a girl because I'm "fat and sick" like she was with us.... lol!! Also its good she lives 40 miles away from us as apparently she has already told "everyone she's laid eyes on" ! Not much of a secret huh Wink

RPopz · 22/06/2014 18:52

Love Mamas and Papas Min - that does sound bargainous! Grin

Minion · 22/06/2014 19:07

Not a shopaholic no, but just couldn't resist the little things. Sooooo cute.
In fact I've always said we will not go overboard with buying clothes etc.
I may have to purchase a hat and eat it. It'll have a better more funky wardrobe than me or the husband.

DulcetMoans · 22/06/2014 21:45

Babies clothes are generally cooler and cheaper though min, you can't be blamed!

Sorry you are feeling rank wil. I've felt rough last couple of days but think the heat (and travelling on coach) made it worse. Could it be that maybe?

wilhelmeaner · 22/06/2014 22:32

Yeah it's mostly hayfever and lack of sleep I think.

My wardrobe is awful, never get new stuff. The toddler on the other hand has mountains. No VAT, what's not to love about shopping for kids? Having a girl is definitely more fun for shopping. You have to search a lot harder to get cool boys' stuff.

Nessalina · 22/06/2014 23:26

Dulcet - yep, they do a measuring service, no appointment necessary!

Welcome back Cookie! Hope you had fun Smile

Aww, Xmas sleep suits! Envy I'm sooo ready to start baby shopping now lol, I just know I'm going to have to rein myself in!

Sucks that you feel crap Wil Sad Not long before it clears up - fx! If it's the hay fever that is dragging you down then it's worth calling your doctors and asking what they recommend. I suffer with a serious dust allergy, and I take an antihistamine daily, which I haven't stopped. The one I take (Cetirizine) is one that is not discouraged in pregnancy, and my doctor said I was fine to take it. She basically said that it's been tested on animals (Sad) and has been shown to do no harm in pregnancy, so they have no reason to believe it would be harmful in humans. They just can't test it on real pregnant ladies!

The boobs are still sore, though the new bra purchased today squeezes me much less, so that should help. I think it may just be gravity that is my enemy...

My new pain is finding a swimsuit for holidays Confused Have tried on my bikini bottoms and they fit fine, but the boobs are overflowing both bikini tops! The Mothercare tankini I bought sucks, no chest support at all, thinking about checking out Bravissimo, I know they do fitted tankini tops up to a size JJ! About £40 each though Shock

HungryHorace · 23/06/2014 05:03

Ness, I was going to suggest Bravissimo to you anyway as a good idea. I've heard many a pregnant lady of impressive norkage sing their praises!

I take Piriton while pregnant and bf. It was prescribed by the hospital doctors while pregnant and itchy with DD, so I assume it's another one that they feel is fine. Good job as it's grim hayfever season right now!

Your postal service sounds crap, Dulcet. How odd. I hope it arrives today.

My DD is 1 today. No idea how that happened at all! Seems bonkers, but it is definitely today! Doesn't seem like 2 minutes ago that I woke up to my waters breaking (hurrah for absorbent bed mats meaning the mattress was saved!).

What's more surreal is that I've only got a few weeks left til baby 2 arrives. Crazy!

OP posts:
wilhelmeaner · 23/06/2014 07:15

Oh Horace that's a tiny age gap, you're very brave! I couldn't even have thought of trying for another one until DD was well past 1. They'll be great wee friends for oneanother though.

Yes I'm going to see if I can get into GP for this afternoon and get a prescription. I wasn't sure which ones were safe so good to know those ones are. Chemist wouldn't give me anything without prescription.

Ness also see if figleaves or Next (online) have anything cheaper. I got a tankini last time and think it was cheaper than that although don't remember where from helpful. The pricier ones do often seem to do the job better though.

DulcetMoans · 23/06/2014 09:15

Another Monday everyone... whhhhhhhhyyyy?!

Give it a couple weeks and I am off to mothercare to get these babies supported!

Minion · 23/06/2014 10:19

Monday shoddy Monday! Although I much look forward to it more nowadays as it means I don't have to fly.
That doesn't bode well for my return to work does it?

So, question for people who already have kids... What does it feel like when baby starts to move? And when did you get it?
I'm only asking as I'm lying in bed right now lazy moo and I'm getting random tickles inside, but on both sides. I did get a feeling of it at 13 weeks but put that down to wind, so what you think?
Any chance it's my lovely pear?

HungryHorace · 23/06/2014 10:50

With DD I felt the washing machine movement from 11 weeks and kicks from 14 ish.

This time I have an anterior placenta and felt things 2-3 weeks later than with DD.

I think you can definitely feel baby!

OP posts:
Minion · 23/06/2014 10:55

In that case OHHHH MYYYY GAWWDDD!
Really? As in really truly?

It's stopped now, so I can clearly only feel it when completely still, but woah!

Thank you horace, people call me the oracle! but you girl, are mine x

DulcetMoans · 23/06/2014 11:31

Wow min, that's pretty amazing! Being in bed I mean, sounds delightful... Grin. Jokes - sounds like theres every chance its MINIon having a jig!

At least it's sunny, right?

JuniDD · 23/06/2014 11:35

Monday is awful isn't it?
I was complaining about feeling weak in my legs to MrJuni this morning so he suggested I do some exercise (he's an exercise freak) which then set off an hour's teary meltdown. I feel a lot better for being at work. Bloody men, eh! All that said, the Lazy Daisy classes start next week and that's a movement class so he was right, really!

Yay for feeling the mini-minion, minion! It's really cool once it gets going. Soleros/cold drinks get mine going. The bump is now nicknamed Thumper. Smile I got movements on and off around 18 weeks but now (23 weeks tomorrow) it's daily and I know when it will wake up & stuff. It's nice.

Might make MrJuni take me Mamas and Papas tonight to look at prams and get me some more shorts. Too. Blooming. Hot.

Also horace much props for that close age gap! My brother & I are 18 months apart, not sure how my mum did that but we did play together pretty well from early on. Smile

JuniDD · 23/06/2014 13:06

Another colleague has just told me I'll regret having a baby (after telling her what I thought was a funny story about my 2 year old nephew being defiant). God, I work with a bunch of assholes!!!

wilhelmeaner · 23/06/2014 14:22

Juni, I'm going to assume she was joking?! You won't regret it anyway, most definitely not. I was called 'Thumper' when I was in my mum's tummy!

I wrote off baby movements for weeks last time Min and just assumed they were something else. It's nice you're noticing so early. What are you now, about 15 weeks?

I have a prescription waiting for me at doctor's so hopefully hayfever will start to improve. Just got to wait for sleeping beauty to get up so I can go and pick it up.
