iLove, thinking about you. Good luck with consultant tomorrow.

Am currently doing a summer school. I thought it wouldn't be too hard, but I am exhausted!! And bump goes v quiet during the day when I am running around!

Having a mothercare stress, did an order of little bits and bobs last week, 7 day delivery said they. 7 days in, guess whether it has a) been processed, b) arrived or c) says still processing?! And have I heard anything from them? Have I hell. Realise this not hugely important in the grand scale of things but it is irritating.

ilovemonstersInc · 15/07/2014 19:36

I got my bras the other day so was pleased as im super comfy now! And they were from the mothercare exclusive sale.

Thanks everyone.

Back homr as internal was normal and see consultant tomorrow. Will be begging to be induced at earliest date!

Both boys were over the moon to see me. Ds1 kept crying lol ds2 kept giving kisses Grin

Glad ur at home ilove and finally get to see ur consultant tomorrow. Hopefully u will get some answers and a clear plan of what is going to happen.

Had my growth scan today. My SIL came with me as DH was on a course so couldn't come.. Baby is measuring completely fine. On the middle line of growth chart. Obv I just have a small bump so hoping that means I haven't put on too much weight so far.

Nursery furniture all up. The quality of the mothercare range is not that great. There r a couple of scratches on the top of the changing unit and a dent on the inside of the cot near the mattress, but with the terrible customer service some of u have received, there was no way I would risk asking for replacements as god knows when they would turn up and I just want the room all sorted. Mum is bringing over all the baby stuff we stored at hers (remember MIL brought over a ton of stuff when I was 13weeks!!) can't bloody remember half of what was there, so once I have a sort out I can work out what's left to buy.

topmammy · 15/07/2014 22:40

Agree with you Cindy about the quality of the mothercare nursery furniture. I got the summer oak range. It's definitely better than argos flat pack but there was a slight scratch on the oak bit of the changing unit and another scratch that looks like it's been painted over on a bar of the cot. Getting the doors on the wardrobe was a farce. The holes they had drilled were just not big enough. DH had to go buy a drill to finish the job! But despite the minor imperfections it looks nice. Will never buy big items from them again though. If only Oak furniture land did nursery furniture, I bought bedroom furniture from them and its super quality and brilliant delivery service!

Hope you get some decent rest ilove :)

3 days of work left.... I am so exhausted now!

Fairypants · 16/07/2014 07:42

I'm so jealous of you top! Ive still got 5 weeks at work and really struggling already. At least they are supportive and flexible at work unlike some workplaces.

Topsyloulou · 16/07/2014 07:57

I've got 5 weeks left too. Fortunately I've got two short weeks coming up which will help with the tiredness. Had my last work trip to London yesterday & got my last overnight trip next week. All the lasts are starting to happen now!

Ilove hope you get on well with the consultant today and they can come up with a plan to ease the pain. Let us know how you get on.

cookielove · 16/07/2014 08:29

Hello all, I am not impressed with this heat. Makes me all sweaty and yuck, what I wouldn't give to work in an air conditioned office!

Stupid nursery with its stupid natural ventilation (grrrrr)

ilove glad you are home!

tops and fairy so jealous you've got only 5 weeks I've got 8!

xxmissbrightsidexx · 16/07/2014 09:18

Hiya ladies, just checking in haven't been about for a while x
Hope everyone's okay xx
Into single figures today, 31 weeks it's going so quickly!
Got a scan today and seeing the consultant, just to check everything's still looking positive for our little lady and check growth/bowel etc. Hope to be discharged from consultant today, fingers crossed :)

dontevenblink · 16/07/2014 09:44

Good luck today ilove and missbrightside hope everything goes well Smile

whiteblossom · 16/07/2014 10:01

ilove I hope you get some answers today and a plan on how to procced. I cant believe they keep sending you home!

misb lovely to hear from you, you sound positive which is fab, good luck today, come back and let us know how you got on, fx for you x

Im feeling like I have no more room for this baby, he keeps wanting to grow outwards not upwards and by belly button is about to split open. Ive gotten through so much body butter and body oil.

My ds let it slip to my dm that we are having a boy- her response...oh well you can have another one or just keep going until you do {have a girl}. Shock

xxmissbrightsidexx · 16/07/2014 10:15

Thanks blink & blossom I'll definitely be back later, scan is at 1.30 x Been going through a lot mentally so tend to distance myself away, trying to get myself sorted which is easier said than done xx

IAteSomeofthePies · 16/07/2014 10:20

Good luck with the appointments today, iLove and miss!

Ella how great that the consultant gave you such a positive review. I'm glad the GD seems to be under control.

All you people with nursery furniture on order are putting us to shame. Must get busy.

We're just back from a long weekend in Sweden. It looks like things have really been kicking off on this thread. I didn't expect so much action so soon! I hope things settle down for a while.

Due date 1st Sept. I think I'll probably end up working right up until d-day, but we'll see. I need to save leave for after. So, 6 1/2 weeks left?

KitKat1985 · 16/07/2014 10:34

Good luck to everyone with appointments today.

whiteblossom can't believe your dm said that! What did you say in response?

Can't believe I'm 31 weeks today. Only about another 2 months until baby is here. Still don't feel very prepared. Nursery is a mess (see previous post about DH only just deciding to work on it - aggahhh), haven't packed anything for hospital bag, still got lots of bits to buy, don't have a birth plan (unless 'I'll take any pain relief going' counts), and just mentally don't feel I've got my head around impending motherhood yet.

Just over 6 weeks until my last shift at work, although am hoping that after this week I can focus a bit more on baby as after this week am using up some annual leave each week and so am only going to be working 4 days a week, and also have a whole week's annual leave at the end of July which I'm hoping to use productively.

Also weighed self this morning. Have basically put on 27 pounds, so just under 2 stone. Ekkk!!! I feel like a hippo. Sad

ilovemonstersInc · 16/07/2014 10:36

Good luck missb

thank you everyone.
pains are starting again but trying to keep myself busy.
Dh had noticed id had my eye om the urban decay naked palette 3 and he ordered me it so I got a little distraction this morning doing my make up with lovely new things! Kept me busy for a bit but pains are getting bad :( will beg to be induced im the next few weeks can't go om like this

on a brighter note my make up looks luuurrvvvlllyyy Grin

kitkat in response to my mum I just shook my head in disbelief, I was a bit too stunned to say anything but if she does say anything else Ill be ready!

I haven't dared weigh myself in a few weeks. Everyone keeps telling me how 'neat' I am and how I look the same apart from the bump. However I can see it going on and I know that I can carry weight well so it will only be clear as to how much after I have had the baby.

Superdrug have Johnsons wet wipes- the water ones for new borns on offer at the moment and boots have the new born ones on offer too. Tesco have the big boxes of pampers for £8 though a friend of mines strongly recommends Aldi nappies so Im gonna get both and see how we go.

Ive bought a couple of nighties and some pjs from m&s all of them in a mega soft stretchy fabric. The pjs are black and look a bit like yoga wear, which I figured might be handy after the baby is born! Grin Bought all my normal sizes too. (she say's eating a twirl) hehe

Ilove when do u see the consultant?

xxmissbrightsidexx · 16/07/2014 14:34

On the way home from the scan. Am I worrying myself pointlessly, OH thinks I am, baby's est weight is 1.5kg but got to go back for another scan in 3 weeks cos baby's below the 10th centile, what does that even mean?x

whiteblossom · 16/07/2014 14:57

hi missb 1.5kg sounds ok maybe a little on the small side but that's not necessarily anything to worry about. Did they not explain anything to you today? The scan in three weeks will be to check the baby is gaining weight. If your worried ring your mw and ask for an explaination. Other than that was everything ok??

I weighed just over 5lbs (2.3kg) when I was born so don't panic small babies can be just fine too! Huge hugs your clearly having a stressful time xx

ps plus scans can be far off correct.

xxmissbrightsidexx · 16/07/2014 15:07

No nothing was explained, scanned me on some brand spanking new machine so the consultant and nurse were talking amongst themselves in medical jargon but not to me & OH, so was left feeling with mixed emotions about it all cos I don't get it :/
Going to see my mw about it at least she explains it all simply to me and tells me what's what x

xxmissbrightsidexx · 16/07/2014 15:08

From what I can gather, the baby was okay and heartbeat was good so not in distress or anything x

whiteblossom · 16/07/2014 15:21

well I think that's fairly rubbish of them not to explain anything to you! Im sure if anything was wrong they would have said something so take that as a positive. let us know what your mw has to say.

urgh does anyone want their body back- I sure as hell do. I feel so restricted in what I can do, I cant roll over in bed, do more than an hours shopping, I constantly need to rest/tired. It so frustrating, I want to take the dog for a lonnnngg walk, work out, sleep on my stomach, have a glass of chilled wine, eat soft cheese!

misog2000 · 16/07/2014 15:34

I'm having another day where the baby is super quiet and beginning to worry Sad stuck on a conference call at the moment but going to go home as soon as it's over so I can do the cold water and lay down thingy. The midwives weren't concerned at all last time I called them, so reluctant to start bugging them again, but it's really hard to know what to do for the best.

I do have an anterior placenta so I'm wondering if it's just that when the baby gets in certain positions I can't feel the movement - doesn't stop me worrying though

whiteblossom · 16/07/2014 16:37

misog, you could try running your hands under ice cold water and placing them on your bump, this can wake baby up! Otherwise an ice cold can of pop & good old chocolate/cake.

holls2000 · 16/07/2014 18:02

Misog, I find mine us pretty quiet during the day when I am working. The odd flutter here and there but wakes up later when I do the cold drink quiet tine thing! Xx
