Glad you managed to get some sleep. Presumably the bleeding means things are starting to speed up - have they said much about it/examined you?
Hope the pain stays manageable for you x

This might make you laugh, took my 3dc up the gondola (cable car) we have where we live this afternoon and at the top there is a short ride that tells the story of the city, which my dc all love. The woman who was manning the ride looked open mouthed at each of my dc (eldest is 6), then stared at my bump and exclaimed "you're having another one?!!!!" I was tempted to say 'yes this is actually my 10th' as I think she may have fainted Grin My midwife has 7 pretty close together so 4 in my head seems quite small compared to that!

whiteblossom · 14/07/2014 12:57

Good luck Ilove x

Is anyone else getting nagged about packing their hospital bag? im also being nagged to take it easy and put my feet up, to not get wound up over anything.

I feel like there is so much left to do but Im just so tired and its too hot to go out! My parents have taken over the school run- I think my little fall scared them!

Do we have a list of due dates ?

Im sep 6th Smile

oh and I discovered my first stretch mark above my belly button. Gutted and I nearly sat and cried in the changing room. The baby is really low and always has been- why dosent he move up where their is more room?

I was also up half the night with acid reflux and stretching pains. Sad

TeamEponine · 14/07/2014 14:45

ilove - Just wanted to say that I'm thinking of you! The way that you are coping and still managing to keep us all up to date is really inspirational Thanks

Oh no WhiteBlossom!!! I've been inspecting myself, and I'm sure they will emerge soon as my bump feels like it is about to split open Alien style. I'm really not sure how my skin will continue to stretch for another 10-12 weeks Shock

Other than that, it has been a relatively quiet week for me. Another failed attempt at the 4D scan (she really isn't a very cooperative little thing!), and they asked for me to contact my midwife to ask for a growth scan as she seems quite petite. I'm not too worried about it though as her growth is following the right trajectory, just at the very bottom of the chart. My Mum also said that I was a very similar shape to her measurements, so I'm thinking she's just a wee thing.

Thank you all.

Ive been moved back on to the ward again rather than delivery. Contractions hsve stopped just got dull back ache. They think bleed was because of internals but when ive had them in the past its caused a different type of bleed. She said its like a water type bleed. Those who have had babies before you know once waters go the pinky that comes its like that.

Eek Ella I can understand how the experiences you described have made your IBS vicious circle worse but that's the past and doesn't mean it has to happen again. Keep fighting it :)

White Last weekend I suddenly got about 4 or 5 stretch marks at once. I was like :O!!! It literally felt like more popped up as I was looking. Scary lol. Oh well I knew it was most likely to happen.

My DH has been asking me a few times when am I going to pack my hospital bag. He admitted yesterday that he is actually starting to feel a bit nervous and wanted to know who he should ring etc when the time comes. Glad that he is taking his duties to get me to the hospital seriously :)

Ilove, really feel for you, it's like one step forward two back at the minute. Hopefully you'll be a bit more comfortable now the pain has eased a bit & manage to get some sleep.

I've got as far as writing a list for my hospital bag. I'm away overnight with work one night next week & after that I won't be using my little case again so will get it packed & put it in the boot of my car ready. I live a 40 minute drive from the hospital but the hospital is only 10 minutes from work so if he does decide to come early would rather have my bag with me rather than someone have to go all the way home to get it.

Ella my mum has ibs & she used to have the same fear as you about going out in public but she just got used to planning trips out well & making sure she knew where the nearest toilets were etc. it took a while & she had a few setbacks but it's much better now & she's always out & about. She still has the odd day she can't leave the house but overall she's a million times better. Hope you can conquer it too, just have to take it a day at a time.

KitKat1985 · 14/07/2014 22:09

Ilove you must be getting so frustrated with all of this. Have been thinking of you and am sending virtual hugs. Thanks

I really need to think about packing hospital bag soon. I dread to think what DH would pack in a panic if I left it up to him!

Speaking of which DH has just decided at the weekend that the nursery (which is now full of baby things) needs a new coat of paint. I am pleased he wants to do it, but mildly frustrated that after months weeks of nagging to get started on the nursery and get all the nursery DIY jobs done, he only decides now to make a start on it. Hmm Plus also he works in the week and he is busy for a couple of weekends this month, so I can't see him actually finishing the nursery until August sometime. Plus the cot is still not assembled, the curtains aren't up, etc, etc. Why couldn't he have just done this months ago like I asked!!! And now the nursery is full of baby things everything is going to have to be moved out that room for him to paint it, and presumably the house is going to be covered in clutter for a few weeks. I'm pleased he is doing it don't get me wrong, but get so frustrated at him leaving everything until the last minute.

New work rota came out today. My last shift is confirmed as the 29th August. 6 weeks and 4 days to go!!! So tired these days I know the next few weeks are going to drag.

ilovemonstersInc · 14/07/2014 23:36

Cmon ladies get them bags packed! Even if you just stick some pjs and undies in a carrier bag thats something that's what you'll need the most.
Once I got in on Friday I repacked my bag.

Tightenings coming on again Hmm typical as I want to try and get some sleep. Ive asked for some strong pain relief to keep them at bay for a bit which should help.

If his monitoring is fine and im not bleeding will sign my self out as I see my consultant on Wednesday who will hopefully give me a date for induction (I would like it at 37weeks as hes a big baby and all of this pain too. Hes a good size and is making suckling and breathing movements on scan which was very reassuring x

I am on it ilove :) Have almost finished packing my main bag, feeling very organised compared to last time (but my lack of preparation last time was mainly due to the fact all our stuff that was coming on the shipping container from the UK, including car seat, didn't arrive until the Monday and I had ds2 on the Thursday - definitely cutting it fine!!).

I've split mine into two bags, one for immediately after the C-section, then one for DH to bring the day after. Don't need anything for before as we are only allowed to take in a hat for baby and a camera for the C-section as they don't have anywhere to store other stuff (apart from a small handbag!) so in an emergency at least I don't need anything for the section, and they provide nappies. We had so much stuff for dc1 it was hilarious, all the midwives had a good laugh at us Blush I have to pack a spare bag though as DH is useless at getting extra stuff, last time he bought me pink tiny baby clothes in for 8lb3 ds2 and a nightie for me that would have been indecent to wear [grin[

Great to hear ilove that your baby is doing well on the scan and is a good size. Hope you're managing to get some sleep now.

I am struggling as I carry my babies really high up, last time I kept being sick for the last couple of weeks as ds2 was so high up under my ribs, this time it's already started and I am constantly feeling sick and have hardly any appetite - and I've still got 7 weeks to go.......!!

ilovemonstersInc · 15/07/2014 03:52

The mw I had for a bit on delivery jad both her dc in France and they didnt have any gas n air!! They laughedat her wwhen she asked. All ladies book an epidural instead

that's good that youve got some stuff together
having a spare bag is a brill idea too. Not managed thst one myself but if you need to be in longer then at least you know you've got a bag packed.

Woke up been to the loo and there was more pinky blood so im guessing its not from the examinations as it should have settled down

dontevenblink · 15/07/2014 04:40

I'd heard that about France, one of my friends is from there and she said she'd much rather give birth in UK! I love gas and air, great stuff Grin

It does sounds like things are happening if you're still getting the pinky blood, hopefully they can tell you more and something does happen if it stops the pains for you, sounds exhausting for you.

ilovemonstersInc · 15/07/2014 07:51

I liked the gas and air too this time especially when it took paij away. I pretended I didmt though Grin

Just feel very periody and starting with some niggling pain.

And it starts again Hmm this baby needs to make his mind up!

ilovemonstersInc · 15/07/2014 09:38

Plan is
if bleeding continues then another examination, pains hold off then I can have my blood thinning injection andgo home if examination is ok this evening (if I dont complain which im not doimg lol) I see the consultant tomorrow so im back then anyway.

OP posts:
allisgood1 · 15/07/2014 15:09

Have you asked for a scan ilove? Would have thought they would give you one as they can tell if the cervix is thinning a lot better than via examination which carries it's own risks.

ilovemonstersInc · 15/07/2014 15:38

Nope no one has mentioned a scan will ask about that.

Still waiting for a dr Hmm

You're being so positive ilove - really hope it goes well with the consultant tomorrow!

Is anybody else struggling with emotions this week? I've been feeling pretty good for the past couple of months really but this week a uti and antibiotics (which are making me feel extremely nauseous) have turned me into a wreck. I cried earlier because I found one of DH's jumpers that he thought he'd lost Confused Feel like a total madwoman!

Glad you're still keeping positive ilove. Not long to go til you can see your consultant now.
I'm also very hormonal this week. Bought and altered nursery curtains at the weekend but had a bit of a cry when DH tutted that I'd taken the hooks off when I altered them. That was when I realised he probably needed a heads up as I'm clearly not sane.
Have a day off tomorrow to rest but will spend it shopping with dd1 for sixth form clothes. I'm tempted to put it off as my feet are so swollen and I'm exhausted but, let's face it, things are only going to get worse in that department so I'd better get things done ASAP.
We've finally got everything sorted with mothercare furniture (ordered 15th may!). Their customer services dept have been so rubbish so many times (delivery didn't turn up, didn't return calls every day for a week, second delivery had broken parts, didn't send replacement or call back for 3 weeks, eventually sent entire replacement wardrobe and called 2days later to arrange to collect excess parts then didn't turn up on two separate collection dates. Have called them 14 times and only ever had one call back and never an apology) but haven't ever mentioned doing anything to make it up to us. DH made a fuss on twitter though and they e-mailed a £100 voucher. I think twitter is clearly the place to complain!
