ella I had thrush early in the pregnancy I was given a five day course of pessaries, although the pharmacist gave me two packages as the company only does 1, 3 or 7. So they gave 2 boxes of three it cleared up really quickly so I've kept the 2nd box in case it reoccurs, make sure you wear cotton knickers and do try natural yogurt like ilove suggest!

ilove oh how awful it must be, my thoughts are with you. Hopefully they (the contractions) will stop soon!

ella the tablets can affect your tummy, with wind and diarrhoea, but I didn't have any side effects at all. They recommend having them with food and building up the dose as that seems to help. No advice on sweet treats, except for have it after a meal as that will stop the sugars rising so quickly or conveniently forget that test! Which actually is my favourite way to go if I'm desperate for something! Also been told to avoid diabetic stuff- better to have a small portion of the 'real' stuff don't really know why.
ilove hope things settled for you overnight or they were nice to at the very least if you went back in.

BooSurprise · 13/07/2014 06:30

Oh and the thrush thing too, I had it in early pregnancy, gosh it was awful the pain and itching, only had the one pessary and cream, do carry on, it can take a week to clear up, but others are right I think I read guidelines somewhere that you can have a pessary a day for 5 days, so you could head back to the GP- in my case it would take me that long to get an appt!

ilovemonstersInc · 13/07/2014 07:39

How are you feeling today ella?

This thread is keeping me sane thanks guys Flowers

I'm still getting pain but it holds off for a bit just gets really tiring in between having all that pain.
Dh ia going back to work, I will be at mums and dhs work is 2mins from there so if I needed him he would be able to get out quick and come up.

My plan is to get to Wednesday. If I can then brilliant as I see my own consultant who is lovely and we can make a plan..im sure she wont let me carry on likw this.
Hes the same weight now as a term baby so if he comes out he will hopefully be ok. I have that mothers instinct feeling that hes not happy in there for some reason and needs to come out. Hes heart rate kept droping on the monitor and randomly going upto 200 without him moving. That did concern them at one point until they needed the bed Hmm

I wanted to be induced at 38 weeks latest before this happened. I will be nearly 34 weeks when I see her and baby will be even biggee then.

If I bleed any more, waters go or feel the urge to push or pains get worse will go back in. Im hoping all thw hard work is being done now so the actual labour isnt too bad but enough to get to the hospital!

cookielove · 13/07/2014 11:58

ilove fx you get to Wednesday, it must feel like ages away with how you are feeling! It's good to know I am sure the your dh and dm are there or a stones throw away.

ella well once again different areas do everything differently, I think you definitely need a course of pessaries, the cream did nothing for me and touch wood since finishing the course I have had no issues!

The curse of being pregnant!

I am sorry but I can't remember the name of the poster who was struggling with her mother, I've been thinking about you and hope your mother has text back!

Thank you. I just hope all the hard work is done so not much to do once im actually in hosp.

Found discharge notes from ds2. Apparently I only pushed for 6mins Hmm [shocked]

Starting to feel like I need to poo Hmm but not with contractions.

Ella have you told your mw how you feel? They might be able to help in another way.

Spoke to soon. Pain coming on

bugoven · 13/07/2014 12:50

ilove been thinking of you and keep checking the thread. Glad to hear you've got help near by but this must feel like the pain has lasted forever. Hope to hear you're more comfortable soon.

ella I am also a moaner and someone who planned to paint the whole house and organise a wedding but as long as I shower every day and eat something I feel I've achieved a lot at the moment!

cookie I have had mum issues and thanks for thinking of me. I have had one very cold text explaining there would not be time for me to see my dad on his birthday with not even a kiss at the end. She also said I had hurt her and she wasn't over it yet. I have lost a lot of sleep (not that I was getting much anyway) but am accepting I need to just look after myself and let her make her own choices. I am really suffering with sickness and so tired at the moment but thankfully have a lot of support from some wonderful friends and family, just not her. I am so lucky and trying not to over think it all Thanks.

topmammy · 13/07/2014 16:12

Keep up the good work ilove you can get through this! You are really coping well from what I gather in your posts, despite the length of time you have been in discomfort now. Thanks

So it seems the dizzy spells I have been experiencing recently are probably not due to my iron levels afterall. Mum got another MW to check what my iron level was at 28w checkup (it hasn't been written down in my notes) and its good, apparently at a similar level to what some ladies are at their booking appointment, and I'm nearly 34w pregnant so not bad going there. So I have been told that it's probably low blood sugar so I must eat something calorific every couple of hours. Yep, I think I can just about manage that!! (I've just been food shopping and bought about a ton of chocolate).

I have 5 more days of work left. It will drag and wear me out massively now but I can see the finish line now at least.

Sorry to hear you're still having IBS troubles Ella really not nice I know. One way to help it might be to face the fear and just leave the house even if you don't want to. If it ends up being ok enough times it might help to relax how sensitive your physiological response to the thought of needing the loo while you're out is.

LH1981 · 13/07/2014 16:40

Hi Ladies,

Just catching up. Ilove and Cookie, it's strangely familiar reading your posts as I've been having really strong BH for about 3 weeks now. The last few days they have turned into painful cramps, with back pain and I've had a few bouts of diarrhoea (sorry tmi). The other night they actually woke me from my sleep.
I'm 30 weeks now. Haven't been to get checked as figured just severe BH, and didn't want to bother anyone but I may go tomorrow after reading your experiences.

They come and go and range from every 30mins to every 5-10 mins.

This is my third baby so I figured I should know the real thing when it happens, but it's so confusing!! xx

cookielove · 13/07/2014 17:14

Oh yes bug it was you, so sad that your mum is like that, it must be ever so hard. Glad you have lots of other support though.

lh1981 oh no not another one of us with cramps, luckily for me, mine wore off by the end if the week with only twinges. Thia is my first so I am clueless, but I think if your concerned you should call your midwife.

top so jealous of you getting to eat chocolate!!

ella glad you'll be able to pick up a prescription, you really seem to be having a tough time! Anxiety Ibs, does not sound fun!!

It's good that you can admit you have an issue with your IBS though Ella. That's the first step. Maybe when your thrush dies down (ouchy :( poor you btw) you could have a go at feeling the fear and going out anyway :) People will be too wrapped up in their own dramas and busy lives to be bothered about your loo habits I promise. When you go out I reckon your gut will either stop playing you up as your brain won't want to deal with going to the loo in public, or if you really do have to go, your brain will enable you to just go and do it in order to stop feeling the discomfort. Let us know how you get on :)

I will have to be careful how much chocolate I do eat though. My butt is competing enough with my bump as it is! lol. I've bought some Freddos and plan on having one of those every couple of hours as they're not too big.

Oh no ilove hope you're ok and not in too much pain. Is that the test about the likelihood of labour? What have the hospital said? Hope they are being better this time.

Keep us posted when you can, I'll check back in as much as possible (dd and ds1 have been intent on screaming at each other for most of the day so far though so have turned into a referee today Angry )

Take care Flowers
