Pains are starting up. Had some paracetamol. Will have a codeine when I get in (baby had no milk so had to get him a few bottles all I did was walk to milk aisle) dh wanted to buy micro nappies for baby. They were for 2-5lb nappies really tiny things.

Will see how the pains go. Had a warm bath not hot still losing plug too. She said my waters were bulging so will see if they go

Things have really moved on, ella sorry your having such a tough time controlling your sugars, I finally seem to have got mine back on track and have managed to get some treats in.

Though dh is saying I shouldn't trust the results because of the my hormones being bad already.
What do you think?

ilove sorry to here it's been so tough for you!

misog I have never seen the same midwife twice at hospital, I've only seen my community midwife twice out of 5 appointments! When I went to hospital on Monday I apparently went to the wrong one, it was the only number I had. They told me if it happen again to go to the hospital I am booked into where they know me better Hmm

Every single appointment I have had, I have had to explain everything about everything, no one knows me!

allisgood1 · 11/07/2014 18:20

They sent you home losing plug with bulging waters?? How close are you to hospital? Please go back if pains carry on (I know you will though!)

ilovemonstersInc · 11/07/2014 19:02

I am finding the pregnancy much more annoying now!! Grr definitely can't wait till the birth so I can eat some cake!!

I spiked tonight, but I had a lazy dinner with no veg!

DearDinah · 11/07/2014 22:42

cindy I've not had a growth scan, but had a private one at 21 weeks & they said no water, empty bladder. Think baby is big enough now & having a full bladder can distort the picture.
Good luck with it x

Could you try the diabetic range of chocolate? I know Thorntons do them.

Managed to get some sleep. Still in pain but until something else happens (waters, more bearing down etc) will try and cope at home with breathing techniques I van feel a big tightening coming on

cookielove · 12/07/2014 09:56

ilove I was told not to eat anything from the diabetic range, but I am sure others have been told different as it seems to be very hit and miss the information we've all been getting!

Glad you got some sleep, I really hope it all calms down for you :)

ilovemonstersInc · 12/07/2014 10:30

Hmm then I dunnoo what to say about having the odd treat sorry.

Actually. ....
my dad enjoys coconut water ice lollies from thr supermarket. They are naturally sweet nothing added to them. Maybe you could try them?

Ilove go to hospital x

CumbrianExile · 12/07/2014 11:03

ILove - I would go back to the hospital if I was you! Hope things are ok.

I got a letter today from the health visitor arranging the first visit. As this is my first can anyone offer details of what they do at the first visit. All it says on the letter is 'to get to know each other'.

ilovemonstersInc · 12/07/2014 11:05

Im trying very hard to breath through them.
Ds came upto me and said mama wheres baby tummy hurt? So trying to keep a straight face through pains x

ilove, you need to be in hospital where they can (hopefully) put a stop to them before it's too late. GO!!!

Cindy5389 · 12/07/2014 11:17

Oh no ilove. R u getting regular contractions? How long r they lasting? If they r lasting a minute or more, I would get yourself back up the hospital.

Woke up really early with loads of energy today. Have tackled quite a lot of housework so very pleased with myself. Maybe that nesting instinct is finally kicking in.. 31weeks today :)

Trying not to think about Tues. DH can't come with me to the scan so I will b on my own. Can't help thinking its my fault the baby is measuring small. Should I be eating more?!? I really don't want to put on loads of weight tho, so trying no to eat too much more than I would normally eat.

I have a dilemma regarding the birth. I really want to try a water birth. There r 4 birthing pools at my local hospital (3 in MLU). The problem is this hospital is very busy and there seems to b lots of pregnant people due around the same time. This hospital is 20mins away.. There is another hospital approx 45 mins away which has 3 birth pools, but the hospital is much less in demand and someone at my NCT class said that they told her at the tour that they have never had to disappoint someone who wants a water birth as they r always available.. Should I make my decision of where to go at the time of labour, or discuss with my midwife now. Ideally I would like to give birth at my local hospital, but am I going to b disappointed on the day if all birthing pool rooms r full..

(Sorry for long post!)

ilovemonstersInc · 12/07/2014 11:50

Contractions coming every 3ish mins lasting just over a min. Had the codeine, going to have a bath to help ease pain and if that doesnt help will go back ti hosp.

Cindy don't blame yourself x I would choose the nearest hosp as theres still a possibility you could have a water birth

Cindy5389 · 12/07/2014 11:56

Ilove I really would go back to the hospital if I was u. Those contractions r coming very fast and r lasting a long time. Have u called them again to ask for advice?

ilovemonstersInc · 12/07/2014 12:21

They will just say come back in.
Just got out of thr bath. Bath helped pain while I was in it. Was still contracting and still am. Arghh.

Hope you listen and go in ilove. Good luck, thinking of you! X

Inbl00m · 12/07/2014 12:47

Cindy have you been to look around the MLU? If I were you I'd go for a tour yourself to get an idea of which you'd prefer to go for. I was all set for a hospital birth then ended up having a random check-up at the MLU and it totally changed my mind. Have since had a proper tour and am hoping to go there. As long as you haven't got any major complications and are ok with the idea of a transfer to hospital if you need to during labour then they look like brilliant options - much less busy than hospital so more individual midwife support and easier access to birthing pools, etc. They also seem to be much more relaxed about partners staying in with you if you want them to.

Cindy5389 · 12/07/2014 14:01

Haven't been to look round either hospital yet. Both MLUs are located next to the main hospital maternity unit (just a short corridor splitting the two) so either way it won't b an issue if I need to transfer to the other unit.. I will have to arrange a visit soon.

Hope ur ok ilove.
