Ilove I hope you are managing to rest as comfortably as possible at home, but can't believe that they have discharged you! Surely the fact that you are in so much pain warrants them keeping you for observation even if all they can do for the moment is manage the pain for you
on your behalf.
I ended up ringing the hospital last night as was concerned that babies movement had been much less all day, and he/she wasn't having their usual post dinner jump around. I was told as long as I had felt them move in the last few hours not to worry........if that's the case why panic us with the whole 'change in frequency of movements stuff' grrrrrrrr. Baby is back to normal today so clearly they were right, but I ended up sobbing on my DH where I had stressed myself out over it all day. It would help if I was clear on exactly what I should be monitoring etc, but as I've had 4 appointments with 4 different midwives so far I don't really feel like I know what's going on.
I've booked my whooping cough jab for next week (will be 30 weeks), not sure if I am supposed to or not, as midwife at my 28 week appointment didn't say and I forgot to ask, but I read the best time to have it is between 28 and 32 weeks and as I'm not seeing a midwife again till 31 weeks I thought I'd just take the initiative.
I also need to contact the home birth team and try and arrange to go to one of their 'place of birth' classes, the midwife I saw last week didn't know when the next one was and said she'd pass on my details and ask them to call me it it was over a week ago so I'm guessing she forgot. I'm going to ask them if there is any chance they can take over my antenatal care as I'm due to move house on 1st August and would really like to try and establish some continuity of care at some point.
I've got another 10 weeks at work to battle through and then after work for two of those weeks one of my friends is on holiday so I have her two horses to look after as well as my own - really hope it's not too hot!
