Glad to hear its nothing serious Ella. Hopefully the tablets will do the trick & you'll be able to get a decent nights sleep & feel lots better in the morning.

cookielove · 05/07/2014 23:03

ella fx a good night sleep does the trick!

I had a buternut, spinach and mushroom risotto, it was white rice, some crackers and some pringles (bbq flavour) sp not the best but not that bad.

I must steer clear of white everything!

ilovemonstersInc · 06/07/2014 09:51

Glad you got checked and it wasn't anything serious Ella x

For those with GD its the carbs that make your sugar levels go up and they are the things you wouldn't expect it from.

How is everyone? Still got spd here. Still huge and still very much crampy

Hope you're feeling better this morning Ella :)

Cramp in my calves this morning and a really sharp pain where I think the round ligament is on my left side when I rolled over. Ouch!!! Not really suffered with these yet so it was not pleasant having both at the same time lol.

Had to have a nap yesterday afternoon too. Not done that since first trimester. I think I am well and truly heavily pregnant now!! 7 and a bit weeks to go Shock

Hope you're all okay Thanks

cookielove · 06/07/2014 10:13

Sorry hoping someone can answer this for me, what can eat that is snacky that isn't fruit or carbs? I am popping out to the supermarket and need to get some stuff in!

cookielove · 06/07/2014 10:30

Had a quick Google and have got a better idea of stuff i can get!

The only time i am struggling is in the evening, all other times my sugar level is within the normal range, it is really frustrating. So jealous you are having chinese, that's my favourite.

Just had a munch bunch raspberry and strawberry mix, it was so yummy! Also had a cheese chunk and a walkers cheese and onion. So hopefully that won't impact to much.

Also i don't know if i mentioned about being diagnosed with the under active thyroid, but it basically stops your metabolism working so that may link in with gd to, so i got pills for that which i am starting tomorrow. So i am hoping that helps my gd!

2 and half months for me, which i am so look forward to the end as he is too long and keeps stretching out and i feel like i can't make any more room for him Confused

topmammy · 06/07/2014 18:07

Have been fighting the urge to nap all afternoon. ZzZzzzZzzZz

Must stay awake!! O_o

CumbrianExile · 06/07/2014 19:39

Haha Top I gave in to the urge to nap. Will be struggling tomorrow going back to work after a week off!

Topsyloulou · 06/07/2014 19:43

I've been fighting the urge for a nap too in favour of an early night. DP who did have a nap (sympathy tiredness definitely not hangover) has just announced that we are writing our complaint to BA tonight & then watching a film! Not capable of either right now.

topmammy · 06/07/2014 19:47

Lol topsy sounds like your DH had a proper power nap there! I have successfully powered through the sleepy feeling now. I'm trying to decide what to have for tea. Still feel a bit full from Sunday lunch though (had it at about 1pm so not exactly recently!). Hmmm.... got an urge to eat chips and tuna mayo Confused

cookielove · 06/07/2014 19:58

Top i have had my feet up all day today, mainly due to the fact that i had to get two pieces of "home" work done, but also i was on my feet all day yesterday and my feet swelled to the size of a rhino feet. And i still feel tired, wish i had napped! Got to leave at 10pm to collect dh from bloody Sonisphere and he wants a maccy d's on the way home, i am not impressed!!

topmammy · 06/07/2014 20:07

Oh my goodness, hope your DH treats you like a queen for having to go out at 10pm lol. I think I will be zzZzzzZzzZz by then.

I've escaped swollen feet so far, although my mum keeps telling me that as soon as I finish work I should put my feet up in the afternoons. So I might have the joy of swollen feet to look forward to yet!

I ordered some elastolabo perineal massage cream today.... gonna be such fun!! Hmm

cookielove · 06/07/2014 20:20

Well dh knows he has it good Hmm but i can see how its going to be already, he will basically be all cheeky and cute and understand how unfair it is for me but he will point out that have had the bed to myself for ages and how he has been on a blow up, poor him going away and drinking solidly for three days. And then it will be back to normal tomorrow and i'll be extra tired cause i am on earlies tomorrow!!

lilone1234 · 07/07/2014 06:28

I'm so tired - been tossing and turning all night as I get so stiff if I stay on one side for longer than 20 mins, opening and closing the window. It's too hot with it closed but too noisy with it open, every noise sets the dog off. Middle of the night trip to the toilet and dog decides she needs to go out too. In the mean time, DP continues to snore ALL NIGHT LONG despite several prods and kicks he just won't roll over. In the end i've given up and got up 5:50am half hour before my alarm. And this is the same EVERY NIGHT. And he wonders why i'm too exhausted to DTD ever. Angry

I thought it was the baby that was meant to keep you up all night, at this rate she will just be keeping me company!!

misog2000 · 07/07/2014 07:56

I'm struggling to sleep again too lilone, it's so frustrating! The only place I am ever really comfy is on my side but more onto my front (if that makes sense) but my bump has got to the point now where the baby doesn't like it and kicks me if I lay like that. My poor hubby has really early starts too, and we don't have a spare room for him to escape to so we are all tired in the misog household (except the cats of course Grin)

Other than the sleepiness I'm still feeling pretty ok, but I'm due end of September so a way behind a lot of you. Fingers crossed I can stay feeling okish as I really can't afford to start my mat leave before I have planned (22nd Sept).

Hope you are all feeling better soon and those with GD manage to find nice things to eat that are ok for their sugar levels, at least the temperature seems to have dropped a little, this is the only summer ever that I have been glad when the really hot weather passed, normally I love the heat but it was a bit much this year.

ilovemonstersInc · 07/07/2014 08:05

Im not sleeping too bad atm buut its fasting now so dont get to actually get in bed til 11.30pm then im up at 1.30am/2am and back in bed for 3ish so asleep by4am.Then up at anytime between 6 and 7.30amwith the kids. So the little rest in between means I do sleep lol

RedToothBrush · 07/07/2014 10:17

Last night I got up four times. This is pretty usual.
Lying on my side I get incredibly sore hips, arms, and legs, so need to walk around to relieve it. And when I get up I need the toilet. When I get back to bed, I'm still uncomfortable so I can't lie on my side. I have a neck pillow, and use that to try and get back to dose off sat up. But eventually I get uncomfortable like that, but by then I've settled a bit Iand I'm able to lie back down again.

On Saturday I woke at 3am, went back to sleep only to be woken up by a huge kick an hour later. I don't have a baby, I have a ninja, but this is the first time, its actually woken me up. Normally I'm just bugged by constant kicks as I'm going to sleep as the ninja doesn't like how I'm lying.

I'm shattered and starting to panic about the lack of sleep when it arrives as its going to get worse than it currently is. The last time I slept 3 hours solidly was over a month ago. I don't think I ever will again.

ilovemonstersInc · 07/07/2014 11:44

ilovemonstersInc · 07/07/2014 16:36

How come cookie? Hope your ok!

I wont go until

  • they are unbearable or regular
  • waters go
anything else that makes me worry with 2 dc, 1 with sn and it being fasting its very hard for me to go and waste 5 hours to be told if it gets any worse come back to waste another 5 hours plus I know im seeing my consultant on Wednesday after scan and will ask her to do internal and check everything properly.
