Any evening classes in the Manchester area?

Hi! Apologies if this is something that has already been covered, but I'm new to mumsnet and so far haven't come across anything similar in previous threads...

I was looking for something like yoga or tai chi, as I feel it could help me prepare for the birth of my second child, due in January. Last time I had a pretty traumatic birth experience, and so I'm hoping things will be different this time round - anything like yoga I think may help - it's worth a try anyway!

I can't find any evening classes (I work full time) in the Salford / Manchester area, so if anyone knows of anything (doesn't just have to be yoga) please let me know!

Thanks

Hi Spalex

I am looking for an afternoon yoga class but keep finding evening ones! The ones I have found have been at the local colleges usually once a week and I think they are just due to start. Have you tried Salford College of Further Education, Eccles College, Pendleton College or any other local centres. I sometimes see them advertised in shop windows too.

Good luck.

Hi AndyJ,

Thanks for the tip, I've rang a few of the colleges and found some Thursday evening sessions through Salford College. I tried Eccles College first, but apparently their yoga classes don't cater for pregnancy
While I was looking I found some afternoon yoga sessions advertised at the Angel Centre in Salford - these may suit the times you're after? Anyway, you can have a look on www.salfordangel.org.uk Or I've found that they also do yoga and tai chi the Esporta gym on Salford Quays. Hope this helps - good luck!
