Wow congratulations Tonightsthekindofnight!!!!

angeltattoo · 25/06/2014 17:32

Blankfornames, I have brown discharge and lack of symptoms! So your post made me feel a little better, we're in the same boat!

Wow night, twins! Congratulations SmileSmile lovely news. How special.

6+4 here, and trying not to worry/hoping the spotting doesn't et worse. It's so worrying. I am desperate for a scan. Trying to hold off til 8 weeks to book one.

BanglesSpangles · 25/06/2014 17:33

Ooh

BanglesSpangles · 25/06/2014 17:36

Balls, bloody Internet. I was going on to say ooh congrats tonight - did you have absolutely no inkling at all? Exciting stuff!

LittleMissSunshine33 · 25/06/2014 17:56

Tonight congrats!! How exciting!

Well I lovely welcome home by OH he said - you look big today has anyone at work not noticed?
Thanks darling! I'm only 7 weeks I've just been eating more!! Confused

GeekyHybrid · 25/06/2014 18:39

Exciting, our first twins! Congrats tonights.

LittleMiss - if my other half said that he'd of wished he hadn't come home! Almost wolloped someone at work today who commented that maybe I shouldn't be eating a cupcake because of getting into my wedding dress - cheek of it! And little do they know that I've purposely gone for a more 'forgiving' style considering I'll be 13 weeks at that point.

I'm also considering whether I should chase up ante-natal appointments. I'm coming up to 8 weeks and when I went to the GP he said they'd 'be in touch' but that was almost 3 weeks ago and I've heard nothing. What do people think?

JacktheLab · 25/06/2014 18:52

Goodness, congrats tonight!!!

tonights, congrats! A little part of me is really hoping for twins, we'd love two DC, and I'm not overly keen on doing the pregnancy thing twice ;)

Strange and emotional day, my Grandad's funeral was a lovely service, lots of reminiscing. Got home to a letter from the hospital, my dating scan is on 6th August and another on the 19th! Quelle confused... the countdown begins!

Memphisbelly · 25/06/2014 19:06

I managed to cook tea tonight, I did a curry, fdh loved it I couldn't face it so am now starving he is away tomorrow night so I may go out to eat with ds than cook for it to be wasted.

WarmSummerBreeze · 25/06/2014 19:42

Wow! Twins! How exciting! Do twins run in your family? Are these your first babies? Gosh - it's great to have twins on the thread.

mildatheart · 25/06/2014 20:10

Hello! I feel brave enough to join. I'm 6 weeks today, got my totally unexpected BFP on 11/6 as a result of first round of IVF. I still can't believe it's real as it's taken so long to get here. My official due date doesn't matter as I'm a type 1 diabetic and so will probably be induced at 38 weeks which is the 4th of Feb
Don't suppose anyone else is diabetic?

GeekyHybrid · 25/06/2014 21:02

Welcome mild, congrats on making it here. I'm not diabetic but have type 1 (paternal side) and type 2 (maternal side) in the family so half expecting to develop it during the latter stages :-/ Hang on in there chunderella, hopefully it will begin to clear before too long, and stay away - my ms faded, made a comeback, and has gone into remission again but I'm not holding my breath. One day at a time and all that Thanks

GeekyHybrid · 25/06/2014 21:05

PS - frenetic I agree with you there, it would be great to get 2 dc out of one pg and not have to go through it all again ;-)

tonightsthekindofnight · 25/06/2014 21:14

Thank you everyone for your lovely messages, it certainly feels pretty special. No twins in the family so a fairly huge surprise. I have a 5 year old son and a 13 month old daughter and currently work full time. Fair to say I am going to be pretty busy!! My lovely husband thought with it being my 3rd pregnancy I might relax and lay off the baby books but the news about twins throws me back into first pregnancy anxious overdrive!! Gp has prescribed an anti sickness although the shock of today seems to have diverted my nausea. Hope everyone is having a relaxing evening.

Memphisbelly · 25/06/2014 21:18

my waist has gone up 4 inches Shock Shock

BanglesSpangles · 25/06/2014 21:46

Welcome mild nothing to add on the diabetes front, I'm afraid

Geeky, I'd call- no harm in checking! In fact I should really take my own advice- called my doctors earlier this week and the first appointment they could give me is in 3 weeks time, so being an impatient sort I self referred myself to the midwife team, which you can do where I live. That was 4 days ago and they said someone would call within 3... I think I've probably got myself in the system twice now-gah!

Ticktick · 25/06/2014 22:11

Wow tonights, twins ! Such exciting, and probably a bit scary but still wonderful news :)

Thanks for everyone's comments on the my thirsty post. It's reassuring to know I'm not drinking up the country's water supply alone!

6w+5 today and a bit of nausea creeping in when I get hungry... Starting to regret complaining about not having symptoms, eek!

ProudlymadeinSA · 25/06/2014 22:16

8+3 here and ms has just hit a whole new level. Want to curl up and die. Going to use surrogate mother for future children. Please someone tell me it gets better soon. It doesn't get continually worse until 12 weeks does it?!

blankfornames · 26/06/2014 09:27

Wow Tonights, twins are so special. I have twin nephews and they are so close. It's a very special relationship between them. No wonder you have been feeling so ikky!

Angeltatoo, it is nice to know that others are in the same boat. I spoke to my friend yday who had it for a month, she's now 22 weeks pregnant! Hopefully it won't last that long for us!

Gingerbreadlady1 · 26/06/2014 09:56

Hi ladies! I'm on the march thread but it is still very quiet. Can I ask some advice please as I'm a little worried. Ill be 5 weeks tomorrow & still very crampy, no blood or pain, just a constant churning sensation. Is this normal? Thanks, and congrats!!!

(I've read through most of this thread as edd 28/2 or 1/3 depending, feel like I know you despite being a stranger lol)

Memphisbelly · 26/06/2014 10:00

gingerbread I felt like I had period pains for about 2 weeks at the start. my mw reassured me it was normal and has now passed.

Gingerbreadlady1 · 26/06/2014 10:09

That's great, thanks memphis, taken us a long time to get here so bricking it tbh. If march doesn't get busier soon I'm gonna abandon my post & slink over here!

Burmama · 26/06/2014 10:20

Hi gingerbread I definitely felt the roughest so far in the 5th week. Somebody mentioned the phrase "hormone spike" to account for feeling extra rubbish right at the start. I definitely did but feel loads better now (almost 9w). Get a lot of rest! hugs :)

Gingerbreadlady1 · 26/06/2014 10:28

Hi burmama, I feel not too bad (like a fraud actually) although bit ropey today but think that's general sleep deprivation. Very jealous of you ladies that bit nearer to the 12 wk mark
