Mw in a couple of hours, I have to drop ds with my dad I hope he doesn't guess.

How is it posiible to wake up tired? i have gone to bed at 8 for last two nights.

bellaboo88 · 12/06/2014 09:12

Ladies, just eating my brekkie & all I can smell is pepper. Dp sniffed it no pepper....have I got imaginary preggo smells now?!

Xx

mrshjb · 12/06/2014 09:33

Haha sounds like it!! Enjoy :)

Burmama · 12/06/2014 10:03

Hi becca and lawyer, welcome! and hello to everybody else :) sorry to hear about your nausea jen proudly and mimosa I've found that one salty biscuit in the morning is helping enormously. That, and eating pretty constantly throughout the day. Nausea seems to be worst at like 4am right after a pee (odd that) but, apart from one rough morning last week, I've been managing to keep it all down so far. Fingers crossed it lasts!

JacktheLab · 12/06/2014 11:22

Mrshjb

I made my husband sit at the other end of the living room to eat dinner last night because of the smell, the same thing as my ds and I had eaten a couple of hours previously!

Hello newbies I think might start a new thread on the weekend for the stats unless anyone else wants to do it?

mrshjb · 12/06/2014 12:03

Haha it's crazy isn't it! My DH was drinking whisky over the other side of the room the other day and I could smell it like it was under my nose! Anyone know the reason for it?!

Stats sounds good to me :)

hanflan · 12/06/2014 12:15

Apparently the smell thing is on an evolutionary level. Back before we had "best before" dates it would allow us to know instantly when something had gone off and would possibly be harmful in pregnancy!

hanflan · 12/06/2014 12:15

Especially with meat etc in the caveman days haha

mrshjb · 12/06/2014 12:44

That was my best guess but I wasn't sure! Aren't we clever :)!!!!!

hanflan · 12/06/2014 12:53

It is amazing, I love how our instinct takes over during pregnancy. We crave what our body needs, we get all vommy over things we probably shouldn't eat, it's awesome :)

mrshjb · 12/06/2014 13:04

Yeah it is true :) Not sure people who are constantly sick would agree with you though!

Have you told anyone yet?

hanflan · 12/06/2014 13:08

Only my mum, sister, and best friend at the moment. Pretty much because I know I would need their support if anything should happen. I think DH's family will be told in a couple of weeks or so, whenever we see them really! What about you?

mrshjb · 12/06/2014 13:27

Yea

mrshjb · 12/06/2014 13:28

Whoops!

Yeah I'm the same for the same reasons. DH doesn't want anyone else to know until after the 12 week scan. It's hard not telling work though when you feel like crap all the time! Have you got your midwife appointment date?

hanflan · 12/06/2014 13:30

Nope not yet, I have to see the GP first (next Wednesday!) and then he will sort out a referral. I'm dreading feeling crap at work. Actually I'm dreading the commute the most. Being on a packed train (often standing) wanting to chunder everywhere can't be too much fun :(

donkir · 12/06/2014 15:45

My DS asked me to smell the milk this morning to serif it was off. Big mistake on his part I was retching for the next half hour. It was definitely off.

Memphisbelly · 12/06/2014 16:27

Had midwife, she was very supportive, I gave birth at a hospital on other side of city last time, they were amazing but we have moved. I am unsure which one to go for and explained that I had PND and PTSD last time and worry sbout making a decision I regret so she said she will book the scans at nearer hospital and if I change my mind later on its just a phone call to change it!
She also said the amount we see her is less than last time but if I have any concerns, worries or just need a chat to just call her!
My scan is on Monday, dh is able to be there.
Had to sip water the whole time as im so sicky and have napped for 2 hours this afternoon, I have no motivation!

Serafinaaa · 12/06/2014 17:19

Hello! Can I join? I'm supposedly 5 weeks with #1 but I actually think it's more like 4 by looking at my chart. I don't have any real symptoms other than sore boobs and occasional mild cramping. I've phoned the doctor and the receptionist has put me into the system so the midwife should phone soon. Very exciting!

GeekyHybrid · 12/06/2014 18:48

Evening all, I told the boss. Very scary moment but it went OK, he shared more about their attempts to ttc than ever before, turns out she had a suspected early mc just last week when they were on hols :-( so I still feel really bad for them. However, it is one less thing to be anxious about, I now don't have to do anything involving chemicals / pesticides and I've got out of any heavy lifting :-) Now I just get to concentrate on getting through the day - the nausea is constant though luckily I'm not actually vomiting. I've also seen the GP who simply fills in a referral to ante-natal and says I'll hear from them in due course. Lots of waiting to this pregnancy malarkey isn't there!

GeekyHybrid · 12/06/2014 18:51

PS - Jack stats always sound like a good idea ;-) Thank you

MrsCK · 12/06/2014 19:03

Hey all! I had my first appointment last Friday and I've been given an earlier edd based on the fact I came off the implant and then fell straight away. However I know when I ovulated so I think they are wrong. anyway. I'm HUGE. like literally I'm either growing twins or I am further gone than I thought. or it could be bloat. First maternity clothes bought....They are so so comfy!!

Memphisbelly · 12/06/2014 19:27

Mrsck what date did they give you? I was massive with my first and in maternity clothes by 10 weeks.....embrace the elastic waistband Grin

MrsCK · 12/06/2014 20:07

12th January now which would make me ten weeks!

Memphisbelly · 12/06/2014 21:00

wow you will have your scan soon! how exciting

LittleMissSunshine33 · 12/06/2014 21:33

MrsC when did you think you were due?
Geeky glad all went well with your boss!

Ladies I am 4 +5 and today I stopped feeling pregnant the last week I've had bloating pulling sensations sharp pains reminding me I was pregnant then today nothing I can even breathe I without it hurting? Blush
