Seriously why does my right boob leak when I go to bed??? Nothing til I try to go to sleep. And now I need a wee too Hmm

BlueC2 · 15/05/2014 22:35

plate my MW nearly forgot to give me my matb1 - def ring up to try and get it, not sure if there's a deadline when you need to hand it. In but important to get. It to your employer ASAP.

My bump not behaving...still feels as though little one is transverse and doing some v painful, awkward feeling movements plus gets a little over excited when I lie down for sleep and starts wriggling and kicking all over the place until around 3am when it decides it would be a good time to sleep and finally lies still Hmm hoping this isn't a sign of things to come!! DS has been so good today, genuinely think he was totally exhausted yesterday after two days with the childminder running around with the older kids.

8 weeks left both feels like nothing much at all and a lifetime away...bump feels huge already, wonder what size it's going to end up this time?!

BlueC2 · 16/05/2014 02:05

Argh!! restless legs driving me insane -just want to sleep :(

NancyinCali · 16/05/2014 05:13

Ugh sorry blue hope you managed to get some rest.

Had 30 week check today. All fine although little monkey currently breech. Hopefully she'll turn in the next few weeks. I now start going every 2 weeks for checks. Bought a second hand co-sleeper cot today. Things are starting to get more real!

icklekid · 16/05/2014 06:29

auntie I keep having dreams my boobs are leaking. ..very odd

nancy plenty of time to turn! Mine was transverse at 30 now head down (thankfully not engaged) at 32.

blue hope you got some sleep!

Must find energy to be cheerful. Why did I think joining in Jamies Food Revolution Day was a good plan- lots of cooking in my classclassroom today! Kids better be nice is all I can say!

MrsA2 · 16/05/2014 08:08

Auntie mine have started to leak at night too, rubbish.

Zing I can also throw in a massive recommendation for packers. They really were not that much more expensive than the removal service alone and it was so easy. It sounds like you have too much on your plate right now as it is.

I've had two days in London this week including about three hrs commute each way, too much. The bottom of my bump has been really achy for the last couple of weeks and this week I've been getting some sharp shooting pains down below too. I'm pretty certain it's just baby moving down and things stretching but have my next midwife appointment this morning so will check what she thinks just in case.

AuntieMaggie · 16/05/2014 08:14

Well that was a shit nights sleep :(

Went to bed listened to my weight loss hypnosis thing to help me get to sleep then DP fecking wakes me up and I spend the rest of the night tossing and turning in pain and even the codeine didn't help Angry

I've got to go and have my bp checked yet again today as its been high all week (are they surprised with the pain I'm in?) and the nurse I saw the other day didn't know what she was doing Hmm

I have got another appt with physio next week after talking to her yesterday (she's lovely) so fingers crossed!

Hope you lovely ladies have a lovely day :)

ZingWatermelon · 16/05/2014 11:58

Thanks all for replies, sympathy and especially the advice about Diazepam.

I decided not to take it - I do not want it knock me out when I look after any of them and as I don't know how it will effect me I'd rather not risk feeling worse.
I read about all the side effects - frankly it scared me.

Hope you are all ok, coco especially.
selfishly, again, I'm only skimming threadBlush sorry for not chatting properly.

Blue

Yes, moving company is booked for both Thursday (packing) and Friday (moving and unpacking into appropriate rooms).
Also our cleaner is coming for the day to hoover/tidy as rooms get emptied.
Kids will be at PILs on Friday & Saturday, including sleeping over on Fri night.
DH will be home from 22nd till the end of the following week.
it will be fine once we are in.
It's the build up that wears me down.

I'm much better since Wed.

zing so glad things are feeling a little less overwhelming, just think- one week and then you'll be in! Yes there's the unpacking to do and yes with baby due there is a deadline but that still gives good time to get stuff fairly well sorted and the older DC can at least help with unpacking more easily than packing! And then roll on the work you want yo get done and the creation of your hideaway sewing room :)

auntie so sorry to hear you're in so much pain and had such a bad night- hope today goes quickly for the start of the weekend.

I had a terrible night too with stupid restless legs ALL night...could've happily performed self amputation at several points!!! I think it was being sat still at a meeting for the whole evening which set it off. But have managed ds's swimming lesson this morning although he seems to have regressed and now only wants to play with the watering can and not actually do any swimming!

ickle hoping my little one makes the turn to head down soon too!

Right... Power nap time and then some more work while DS is hopefully still asleep!

Plateofcrumbs · 16/05/2014 13:55

Went to dentist this morning - dentist wanted to do a small filling without an anaesthetic. I lasted about 30 seconds of drilling before I demanded an injection. Not sure this bodes well for any illusions I have of drug-free childbirth Grin

mixi82 · 16/05/2014 14:27

Hi all, sounds like everyone's having a right time of it so sending lots of Cake and Thanks

Had my last MW appointment down on camp(I'm in Navy for those who didn't know) which was 31 wk check. Everything all good apart from MW saying my uterus was larger on the right side than the left but nothing to worry about. Baby head is down and back running along the left side with all the little limbs on the right having a good poke!

Just 2 wks left at work now and DP comes back from detachment :) and I'm back home to relax as best I can until baby arrive. Two months today officially!

All that are experiencing restless legs, I found if I take my Pregnacare supplement before I go to bed, my legs seem to settle. Have tried so many other things but this seems to work best!

As for night time leaky boobs......have had that for the past 4 weeks and more comes out the left than the right! I sleep with bra and pads now cos was fed up of random patches on my pj tops!

AuntieMaggie · 16/05/2014 15:54

mixi interestingly my baby is head down on the right and its my right boob leaking... wonder if its pressure from babys bum Grin

MW was ok - due to elephant feet today and blood pressure still being high she took some bloods and shes going to call tomorrow with results - fingers crossed they're ok otherwise I'm off to hospital... I am now measuring 38cm but she didn't seem concerned (I am... have I got a monster in there???) though may account for pain last night if I've grown that much in just over a week!

ZingWatermelon · 16/05/2014 17:19

Plate

Grin

But toothache is brutal. I couldn't have my teeth cleaned when pg as all tools gave me tiny electric shocks Shock Shock - apparently some chemicals in saliva alter it when pg.
And why notConfused

But yeah, despite literally only two sips of G&A with DS3 (he was too quick!) I'm staying firmly in the "drug me to my eyeballs coz I want no pain" camp!Wink Grin

Thank you. X

Hohhot we looked at all diff pain relief options yesterday at NCT-some side effects I had no idea about! Still open minded enough to go in hoping for as little as possible but not going to let it bother me if end up with epidural/c section as long as baby & I are safe!

Also top item for nursery as recommended by NCT lady-Ewan the dream sheep anyone any experience?

Plateofcrumbs · 16/05/2014 20:50

No experience but a Ewan is on the 'nice to have' section of my baby shopping list. Might see how we get on and the order an emergency Ewan if we have that kind of baby.

coco808 · 16/05/2014 20:54

Hello everyone!

zing i'm glad you are less stressed, hold on in there, not long to go before your move is complete...Smile

blue sorry to hear you can't sleep again. Know how that feels now with my itching!

plate how frustrating about the consultant! why have they referred you to hospital 3?

So I kicked up a fuss and managed to see my consultant. He spent an hour with me and we discussed everything in detail. The risk is the same but I now know not to take the tablets. He has recommended C section at 37 weeks, on the 24th of June. It is not ideal but there is nothing else anyone can do. I have to have ultrasound on my liver and more steroids Sad Sad.

fifi669 · 16/05/2014 21:13

How does everyone know how their baby is lying? The midwife never says anything to me!

Plateofcrumbs · 16/05/2014 21:25

coco glad you've managed to see consultant and got clarity on the medication. Sorry the whole birth and lead up won't be what you envisaged - how do you feel about an ELCS? We talked about CS at NCT last night and what aspects you could control and put in your birth plan etc to make it more 'your' experience - things like having your own playlist of music, how you want to be presented with the baby for the first time etc.

Hospital 2 have referred me to hospital 3 for a second opinion - I think it's just damned hard to work out exactly what's going on in there with the endo with a big baby in the way. It was kind of hilarious at the last appointment -the two doctors were practically fighting over the scanner arguing about exactly what the ultrasound was showing! They finished the scan, I got all cleaned up then they still couldn't agree and I had to hop back on the table for them to take another look! Anyway appointment at hospital 3 has been made for Tuesday. I really hope I see an actual consultant this time, I am beginning to think they are mythical creatures!

HomeIsWhereTheGinIs · 16/05/2014 22:14

Fifi if you ask they should be able to tell you. I get scanned every time so I know he's head down already.

By the way, has anyone else started noticing movement from outside? My whole tummy moves really visibly when he kicks!

Good luck in figuring everything out plate. Coco sorry about all of the confusion you're going through.

ismarah · 16/05/2014 22:17

Fifi you can sort of tell by the way bean kicks. When your MW palpates your bump just ask next time. #helpfulface

I now have a physio thing, an anesthesiologist appointment, MW appointment and a consultant appointment coming up. Happy to share with those that can't see their consultants...mine are all mean and boring and I can't get rid of them...

Anyone else boiling hot? I'm so overheated it's ridiculous.

AuntieMaggie · 16/05/2014 22:35

fifi it may say in your maternity notes

coco sorry things aren't going to plan but try to concentrate on the positive - you're getting the best treatment for you and baby and what you can do to make it work for you.

At our last antenatal class the mw was telling us about this thing where they put baby on you after birth and leave the baby to find its way to the breast to feed which was interesting. As were the instances of mothers who were going to bottle feed and in some cases had already given a bottle but the baby had managed to latch on and breastfeed anyway. I Also thought it was interesting that half the group missed that session...

ZingWatermelon · 16/05/2014 22:48

coco

you poor sausageSad

Please don't worry about the ELSC at 37 weeks aspect at all.
Yes, it's not what you wanted, but as I said before I know a least 5 people who had 3 C-sections (combo of emergency/planned) and dozens who had 2 C-sections (even V-back in between or after)

In fact another friend just told me she had all 4 DCs by ELSC for no other reason than she just decided she didn't want to go through labour.

I know it's scary and a major op and I wasn't thrilled about having one either (DS4 - footling breech).

But you will get to hold your baby very soon and won't be 2 weeks overdue in the heat (you lucky duckWink and at least the anxious pg bit will be over & done with much earlier.
Does that help make you feel slightly better?

(big hugs)

fifi669 · 16/05/2014 22:49

He seems to move everywhere! Sometimes it's right at the too, other times all the movement is down below, occasionally out the side.....

I still have money on him being a ninja

liquidstatehasrisenagain · 16/05/2014 23:54

fifi - I can't tell from the kicks either as legs are bent and arms are up... a bit like Hong Kong Phooey. Confused

BlueC2 · 17/05/2014 00:25

Just wrestled a duvet cover onto the summer duvet to take onto the sofa with me. Been so careful to try and 'relax' my legs this evening but the restless twitch is back. I'm so tired I just want to sleep but don't want to wake DH up with my constant shifting of position hence the sofa. Plus baby is in such an awkward position with bits properly sticking out far to the lower left and right of my bump! Sorry for the moan- will catch up properly tomorrow.
