Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Kitty, the pains are on the L hand side mainly, like a stitch really. I've had them on and off for about 6 weeks, but this weekend they got much worse. DD sat on my stomach yesterday which started it off, but I had noticed them before. If it is a wee infection, it is easy to sort so I'm hoping it's that. I had a couple with DD so it's quite likely. I also have almost constant thrush (sorry for TMI) so all is clearly not great down there. I'll let you know how I get on tomorrow.

Know what you mean about the stairs. DD climbed the whole lot this pm to come and see me in my bed. DH thought she was in the sitting room! Glad she didn't fall! She is quite good on them, but I don't usually let her do them unless one of us is behind her.

Take care everyone XXX

annaspanna · 03/09/2006 19:31

Dolly P -Fingers crossed all is OK for you chick.

Divastrop & Kittiwits thank you so much for not making me feel like an absolute leper. I thort I'd be the only one to smoke let alone fess up about it.

I only had no more than 7 a day usually 5 anyway. You know how we smokers lie but thats honestly how many. Divastrop i too started again when DS was about 2 months old. Sleep deprivation i blamed then but its really cus I'm weak. Even one a day is enough for me but i want to be free of the bloody weed. Its my vice and how i give myself reward. With some it a glass of wine or chocolate. And unfortunately pg turns me off alcohol & Pork scratchings but not smoking!!! Told the midwife i don't smoke. Bad girl!! Councelling & nagging isn't my bag baby.

Well done to anyone else who has stopped or is giving up. Its the hardest thing ever - for me anyhow.

When does the first trimester tiredness end?? So exhausted.

kittywits · 03/09/2006 20:10

My Granny just died

madhide · 03/09/2006 20:18

kitty witts - really sorry to hear the news thoughts are with you xxx

morocco · 03/09/2006 20:25

I'm so sorry kittiwits. my thoughts and prayers are with your family.

divastrop · 03/09/2006 20:28

sorry to hear ur news,kittywits

kittywits · 03/09/2006 20:38

You are all so kind.
Diva I had to go out with a fag and a glass of wine. I figure that if it eases my stress then it's better all round.
She was 98 years old and tough as old boots. Always sent birthday cards to all of her grandchildren and 22 great grand children, always with a £5 note in them. She had a stroke last Saturday and since Tuesday had had no fluids so it was only a matter of time.
If I go the way she has, peacfully, surrounded by family then I will be very happy.
Still it's a big thing to get your head round. But I know she's up there now looking after us all.

fatfox · 03/09/2006 21:05

Kittywits - I'm so sorry to hear about your gran passing away, you poor thing, its so sad

Dolly - Maybe having the thrush is an indication that its a urinary problem, rather than ectoptic. I'm thinking of you honey; let us now when you find out what it is.

Penny - I know exactly what you mean about the temper; I think the short fuse is probably because you are feeling tired and PG and hormonal. I've managed not to lose it this pregnancy; have been too tired even to lose my temper; but was a complete monster to DH during first two pregnancies. I even remember thinking it was just as well I didn't need to have sex with him again for a while

Am 14 weeks today and starting to feel distinctly better. Or rather I was, until someone asked me this morning if I was 5 months gone

LaidbackinAsia · 04/09/2006 06:10

Morning all !

Kitty , sorry to hear about your grandmother . I lost my great grandma last year aged 100 in exactly the same way. She had a stroke, then died a few days later. She was a real character and very inspirational as a lot of women of that generation were.

I also have never had a stairgate. I went to a social services case conference once with one of my patients and the social worker was banging on about how bad she was for not having a stair gate and not ironing her sons school jumper. My client said " well LaidbackinAsia doesn't have a stairgate either " .... a few eyebrows were raised !!

Dixia - glad your Summer UK tour is going well. I am just about to embark on mine. It will be great, but have just got out my DS2's UK clothes and none of them fit... so have had to snaffle up a couple of things on ebay to arrive gthe same time we do.

Good luck to all those struggling with the fags . I stopped (again) about 15 months ago so know what you are going through.

fatfox · 04/09/2006 12:16

Hi Laidback

Where is everyone today? Are you all busy vomiting into your toilet bowls?

novadandypowder · 04/09/2006 13:06

lol Fatfox, this morning was a picture - 6.30am, sat on the loo whilst simultaneously feeding dd her morning bottle and vomiting into the sink. Such a nice way to start the day!

Having days where I feel about 50% and then I sink right back down to about 10. Found that spending a lot of DH's money on nice maternity clothes perked me up a bit mind

Finally beginning to get a snifter of the second trimester, hoping to make my booking in appointment for next week.

Sorry to hear about sad losses to Babycakes and Kittywits

Seem to remember someone new joining...(mumbles to self, scratches head....)

DollyP · 04/09/2006 13:08

I'm here fatfox . Only briefly though as I have got to go to St Thomas's in a minute to have a scan and find out what's going on in there. I am terrified and feel really sick (even sicker than normal!!) I hope there's something in there and it's OK.

Hope all is well with everybody. I'll let you know how I get on later on today. Keep your ovaries crossed for me girls.

Take care XXXXX

annaspanna · 04/09/2006 13:34

Oh Kittywits - i am really sorry to hear about your gran. My dad had a stroke 3 wks ago. He's out of hospital now but i can feel what you're going thro XXX

Still not had a fag. I will keep banging on about this cus I'm dead chuffed. Can't stop eating square crisps tho. I Keep feeling sick when i drive?? Weird? Anyone else got that? Not been sick tho fatfox, lol!!

Good luck with the scan Dolly P. xxxx

Piffle · 04/09/2006 13:40

Babycakes so sorry to hear your sad news, take care and take it easy.
Kitty also really sorry to hear about your gran

I'm really feeling the tiredness, just about this time of the day, I zonk out 40 minutes and then am fine til later in the night.

Nausea on and off, worst before bed curiously enough. Defintely getting better though.
Have two pairs of maternity trousers, which fit great

Hope everyone is doing ok I'm off to slumber...

Booboobedoo · 04/09/2006 14:09

So sorry kittywits : your Grandma sounds great.

My MS is worst in the evenings too Piffle: although it's not that predictable. Usually manage to keep a bit of dinner down (and I'm clearly not doing too badly as I'm blimping out).

Dolly: good luck with your test today. My friend had a urinary infection which made her MS worse: they just give you a quick course of antibiotics: all nice and simple. Also, mine gts worse when I'm anxious, which I expect you are.

I was 14 weeks yesterday.

EDD: 3/3/07

fatfox · 04/09/2006 14:44

Dolly _ GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR SCAN!!! Will check later to see how it went

Kitty - are you ok?

Annapsanna - another crisp addict emerging here - well done for not having a fag. Crisps are deffo better - the worst they can do is make you fat The best they can do is make you very happy

fatfox · 04/09/2006 14:45

Booboobedoo - our beanies are due to hatch on the same day 3 March? Are you beginning to feel a bit more human now you're 14 weeks?

Booboobedoo · 04/09/2006 14:57

Hey fatfox, I'm definitely beginning to see the light, thanks for asking!

How are you doing?

I'm still sick, but feel better in myself.

Wonder how close we'll both be to our EDD. Have you been pretty close in the past? This is my first, so nothing to go on.

My BF says that giving birth on your due date is just showing off

fatfox · 04/09/2006 15:11

Bobbodedoo - LOL . I was one or two days before for DS and DD. I've been given three dates for this one (26 feb, 28 feb and 3 march) but my text book date is 3 March so I'm sticking to that!

I'm feeling a lot better the last two days

kittywits · 04/09/2006 16:02

Hi all, feeling a bit spaced today. Have a great urge to go out and spend lots of money!!
Sorry for all of you that are stil feeling sick.

Dolly p let us know how you got on won't you?

morocco · 04/09/2006 16:37

-oh no fatfox! I know that feeling well. after #giving birth# to ds1, someone had the cheek to ask me 2 weeks later and in all seriousness, when ds1 was due! aaargh. worst part was, I'd seen her about a week before I actually gave birth, so it wasn't like she hadn't seen my enormous 9 month girth. and I was flattering myself that I had lost lots of weight

hope all went well dollyp

enjoy the uk laidback - don't worry - you can just pop along to primark and get entire new outfits for a fiver. I went on a mad splurge to get new stuff in size 16 which I fit with a bit of growing room and hopefully will fit back into again afterwards. bought loads and loads and only managed to spend £60.

I'm a bit paranoid about buying mat stuff yet - bod omens and jinxs. and I don't want to be stuck with prams and carrycots if things go wrong still. I'm being abit pessimistic this time round don't know why

DollyP · 04/09/2006 16:53

Hi girls

Scan was fine, one 11week old baby in there having a nice kip whilst its mother panicked. Still no closer to finding out the cause of the pain though. The tests won't be back til later in the week so I suppose I'll have to put up with it til then.

Thanks for all the support - much appreciated. Must dash now to collect DD from nursery. More later
XXXXX

fatfox · 04/09/2006 16:54

Ooooh I just love Primark - I get all hot and exited in there and come out with a huge bag of children's clothes for £20!

I Lurve Primark

fatfox · 04/09/2006 16:55

Dolly I'm so pleased. It must have been great to see the beanie all healkthy and growing happily.

Catilla · 04/09/2006 17:09

Hello ladies. Not posted on this thread before, just been lurking a bit, but just had my scan today so starting to "come out"...

DollyP, I was at St Thomas's today for a 12.30 appointment - just before you - how spooky! Glad it went OK for you.

I'm feeling nicely reassured. First time round I hadn't even thought about the possibility of problems - but this time I had started to worry, and even not quite believe I was pregnant! Luckily all was fine and I still can't quite believe how developed the baby is... even kicking legs and trying to suck thumb already.

Anyway, hello everyone, and wishing you all a happy journey!

My ds is 26 months
I'm 12+3 today - due 16th March, but bound to be late.
