Reading all the comments on here about the new service has made me chuckle. The 111 is not to diagnose you but to get you the best Care that I need speak from experience of using the service and it has always treated me well. On numerous occasions I've gotten the care that I need for my symptoms. People generally feel they are more ill than they are and feel that they deserve an ambulance cause they feel weak with a cold . People shouldn't underestimate the stupidity of the general public yes the questions seem abit strange are they breathing but it's clearly there for a reason yes people decide to call the number for what others would sensible realise they need an answer. Everyone's rating the ooh but most are saying they are waiting for a call back from a doctor for hours on end don't you realise that it is the ooh doctor your waiting for it's just a different way to access. If People were actually truthful and answered the questioned honestly there Asked for a reason to rule out things that are life threatening . There wouldn't be a back log to the services. Stop googling your problems any tom dick or Harry can put stuff on the web
