Haha yeah maybe it is!! Im still trying! I finish 24th December! Im so lazzzzzy!! I am intending on using my full holiday allowance from 2nd jan to due date then 12 mts maternity. The only positive of infertility is our savings!!

broodysnoopstie · 04/11/2014 08:31

When is your due date again? You aren't lazy if you don't think you can go longer than that's up to you only you know how you feel! Smile

woodwaj · 04/11/2014 10:03

It just makes sense to use my holidays first because if i use them before the end of the year (cant carry over) my mat leave will stop and i wont get as long off. Im intending to do the usual nesting cleaning batch cooking clothes washing i can just take my time! Im due on 8th feb!

broodysnoopstie · 05/11/2014 09:48

Well everyone says it's the last time you'll get to rest/sleep so make the most of it! If I could afford to I'd definitely give myself another week or two! just been for my gtt for diabetes results tomorrow. 28 week bloods done too so mw doesn't have to do those. Can't believe I'm 28 weeks already!

woodwaj · 05/11/2014 11:03

Its flying by isnt it! Keep me posted i hope it's all ok. Im getting some not so subtle hints on what presents i may or may not like at work haha

woodwaj · 12/11/2014 18:24

How did the appointment go?

broodysnoopstie · 15/11/2014 09:35

So went for midwife app at 29 + 1 yesterday. Told her about the fact I'm finding it hard to stay hydrated as my wee is always dark and I'm thirsty all the time. She checked results of gtt and said they were normal but then dipped my wee and there was sugar in it. She looked for number of gtt and said it was 5.8 which is borderline so has arranged for me to go repeat gtt on Monday.. hopefully it's just a precaution and I'm not developing gestational diabetes!

Ladies......I have the very great delight of sharing with you that I seem to have jolly well gone and got my BFP!!! Grin

I'm still in shock! Found out on Halloween (trying not to read too much in to that!) just before we were going on hol. Cycle 19 was the one! Was completely giddy for a week but now seem to have developed the pregnancy madness of thinking everything is going to go horribly wrong...so much so that I didn't want to post in case I jinxed things. But I've had a word with myself and realised that what will be will be and me sharing my news with you isn't going to change the course of things so here I am!

Think I'm 6 weeks and 2 days, time appears to be standing still!!!!! Waiting to hear from midwife but from the letter the GP gave it doesn't look like they will see me til 10 weeks so it's back to the waiting game, got fairly well practiced at that through ttc for so long!! We were actually facing IVF, been consented and had the needles and first lot of drugs ready at home, we just had to give them the nod when we were ready to start which was going to be Dec/Jan time, but this little bean (think its described as a lentil at this stage!!) had other ideas thankfully!! Grin Just keeping everything crossed......

Glad to see you're both getting on well and talking of mat leave, how wonderful Smile keeping my fingers crossed you're not getting gestational diabetes broody, had you eaten anything sugary beforehand?

Not much else to say but woooooooooooooohooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Grin Grin Grin

woodwaj · 15/11/2014 23:00

Onelife that is amazing! Dont be shy join in all the fun with us! It will feel more real once you feel ill (although i hope you dont!!) I think it was cycle 19 that was the lucky one for me!! At first i was expecting a complicated pregnancy but apart from morning sickness i have had it easy really! So what do you think your due date is? Its so exciting!!

Broody thats rubbish i hope thats not the case do you have to have some nasty drink?

broodysnoopstie · 16/11/2014 20:29

YAY CONGRATULATIONS ONE that's the best news ever yippee!

How exciting lucky cycle 19 wooooooo Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

I think it's only natural to worry I think everyone does but you and your little bean will be just fine Smile

Boo do you have to fast till tomorrow now ? How long will the results take?

Come back and be excited one!! How did your fella take the news?

Im good thanks! The tiredness is creeping back in but other than that i can't complain. The baby was kicking the cat before he was not impressed!!

Having a few weeks off decorating but the nursery painting will commence soon!!x

onelifeonechance · 17/11/2014 17:20

Thanks girls! Grin Still feels surreal. My due date is sometime between 6-9th July. No major symptoms except feeling bit queasy and have completely gone off all vegetables (when I normally adore them!) Only things i want to eat are cheese and crisps!! Hmm Can you remember back this far how you both felt? My boobs feel and look the same, I'm not needing to pee more, I am tired but no more than usual - all the things I thought would happen haven't so far, although I prob shouldn't speak too soon should I?!
DH was over the moon, he was completely shocked as we really had settled on the fact we were facing IVF, I gave him the tests in a box before we went on hol telling him it was a little going away pressie Smile
When will you get your results Broody? And Grin at your bubba kicking the cat!! He's just letting him know who's boss!!

woodwaj · 17/11/2014 20:38

If you have a few signs now they will probably get stronger! ;) I had normal boobs and still do. Underwired bras are uncomfy though. I went off veg too and still pretty much off meat. I lost my appetite for ages and had lost weight. Im a chocolate pig again now!! I did pee a lot but not that early i think! I think most things kicked off around 9 weeks!

How cute i bet he is over the moon! You get treated like a queen too (and so we should!)

broodysnoopstie · 21/11/2014 16:01

My boobs were the telltale sign they were like boulder and nausea and morning sickness and tiredness by 16 weeks I felt great though! 30 weeks aches and pains and tiredness are setting in. turns out I do have gestational diabetes Confused but it's only for another 10/12 weeks! xx

OP posts:
woodwaj · 21/11/2014 17:33

Oh no! What does that mean now? I had some glucose in my urine on wednesday and she didnt seem bothered. Said she would just check again in 4 weeks!

broodysnoopstie · 22/11/2014 08:13

I think it's my dad being diabetic that means they were worried I'd get it turns out they were right! I just have to eat sensibly cut out all extra sugar and test my blood sugar 4 times a day. x

OP posts:
woodwaj · 22/11/2014 21:41

Well that sounds like a pain in the arse. I think your dad owes you a present. A sugar free one! So exhausted today! I apparently woke myself up snoring twice last night (and then another time laughing?!) Dont remember it though. Hope im not getting a cold!

broodysnoopstie · 23/11/2014 00:13

I'm sure I read somewhere that preggo women snore!

OP posts:
woodwaj · 23/11/2014 09:41

As long as it goes away!! I dont think i did it again! Todays plan make room in the kitchen for bottles etc!! I bought the perfect prep machine as a treat!

How are things onelife?

onelifeonechance · 23/11/2014 18:59

Doing ok ta, a bit too ok... Hmm Yesterday and today I honestly wouldn't know I was pregnant, I thought symptoms were supposed to get worse not better. So I've caved and booked a private scan for next week when I should be over 8 weeks, just want to know one way or the other and can't bear the wait for the 12 week scan. Feel like I can't get excited yet as just doesn't seem real. Seeing midwife Sat for booking appt, then scan week after so hopefully there will be a bean with a heartbeat (please, please, please) In the meantime I have started a 600+page book to try and take my mind off things!

Broody, sorry you've got gest diabetes, hope it's not too much of a chore doing your blood sugars, sure it means they'll keep an even closer eye on you and your baby which is reassuring. Have you got much of a sweet tooth anyway or is it going to be tough cutting out the choc?

Very impressed with your organisation Wood, did you get done what you wanted? Have you started on the nursery yet? Exciting times Smile

onelifeonechance · 23/11/2014 19:01

PS love the snoring tale, I won't tell DH about that symptom just yet!!

woodwaj · 23/11/2014 20:04

Its unusual for me to snore for no reason. I feel so manly haha. Yes kitchen all cleaned out i also tested the steriliser and prep machine both all good to go! Decorating hasn't started yet...i need to clean the garage to make room for the pram to come out of the bedroom so we can paint! Next weekends job i think!! It never ends does it!!

What day is your scan? You should defo see something i did at 6 weeks. Was literally a dot though but its the dot thats important! I don't blame you for booking it. Its a long wait not knowing. It was the start of tri 2 i didnt feel preggo! Was weird!

broodysnoopstie · 25/11/2014 08:40

One I have got a major sweet tooth I'm struggling already!!!

Good luck with your scan I had one at 7 weeks because of bleeding I saw a blinking blob!

Keeping my fingers crossed you are one of the lucky lucky ladies who has no symptoms and feels great all the way through!

xx

OP posts:
woodwaj · 25/11/2014 18:32

Is there anything sweet that doesn't have sugar in it?! Im presuming it doesnt exist :(

onelifeonechance · 27/11/2014 16:29

Scan is on Mon eve, seeing midwife Sat, eep! Have been sick once, boobs pretty the same but if I really look closely I suppose they are a tad more full than normal, but my main symptom is still that the thought of vegetables makes me heave!! Not how I thought pregnancy would be so far but hey ho. Let's see what the scan shows.....keep all available limbs and extremities crossed for me please Smile

Wood, any more snore wake ups? Grin

Broody, my complete sympathies, how you can face the next couple of months without choc or sweets I do not know. Courage sister, courage Smile
