New thread ladies. I should really leave it to someone who can link the old one. Can someone add the edd list and whatnot? Or maybe we should start again now edds are changing after scan.

Hi all. I am a lurker. I have my scan on Friday and will join then properly if all ok. Had 2 mc so am crazy nervous as you would imagine. This is DC2 and I have found the lack of lie on particularly hard this time! Sometimes It's actually easier to be at work than look after him! (Except when having to stand up and do a presentation in front of people... So teachers, I really really don't know how you do it)
Last time I didn't feel better til 16 weeks but the tiredness never left me. But they say all pregs are different so I hope that if I make it through to second trimester I will experience that elusive burst of energy!!!! Yeah right. Grin
Hopefully see you back here with good news on Friday. Crapping myself.

TroubleAndFyfe · 31/03/2014 08:01

Good luck bingle! Smile

Kirstipops · 31/03/2014 08:22

Sending positive thoughts for a good scan Bingle! Hi fedup!

SwimmingMom · 31/03/2014 08:29

So sorry bythesea. Hope you are doing ok.

Bingle, fedup - good luck with your scans!

tak1ngchances · 31/03/2014 08:54

So sorry by the sea. Sending a big hug.

Going to the FMC for nuchal scan & harmony results ( including gender) today. Am a total bag of nerves. So glad DH is coming with me, partly because I'm still do nauseous. Thought I was having quite a good day yesterday but the nausea kicked in at 6pm and at 7 I was throwing up so hard that I peed myself. Don't fancy doing that in public alone!

It was a most undignified experience...

binkybunny · 31/03/2014 08:55

Hello new people, good luck bingles and other scan people! bythesea sorry to hear about your loss Sad.

Just catching up after weekend away. So pleased I have taken today off as a holiday day. 5 hour drive there Sat and 5 hours back yesterday. I feel like I have been run over by a bus today! Think lazy morning then might go for a swim to try and ease aches and pains from car travel. Not looking forward to the 8 hours to my sisters wedding in August!!!!

binkybunny · 31/03/2014 08:59

taking I know the embarrassment. I peed myself while throwing up at my parents over the weekend. Blush My mum quite helpfully told me later on, when baby is pushing on my bladder I'll have to make sure I carry spare underwear or tena lady.

I am starting pelvic floor exercises today!

Me23 · 31/03/2014 09:08

I'm so sorry bythesea Sad look after yourself, I wish you all the best for the future.

Welcome to all the lurkers and newcomers.

Good luck bingles and tak1ngchances

I'm tentatively hoping that the I'm over the worst of the worst trimester! Didn't feel sick at all yesterday and I don't feel exhausted this morning. We'll see.

I'm not back at work until Wednesday, have been on annual leave. Should be able to find out my screening results, though I'm sure it's fine they would have phoned if not. Plus nuchal was only 1.1mm so optimistic.

Re gender in my other two pregnancies I don't think I knew but I got what I wanted both times. This time if I'm honest I would like a girl but I have a feeling it's a boy. Obviously I will love whatever I have but would by nice to have another baby girl as my dd is 9 now!

mrsb87 · 31/03/2014 09:22

Hi guys, hope everyone had a restful weekend?

tak1ing I know that feeling, several morning pukrs I've not known whether to pee first or puke first and ended up with an embarrassing outcome. Not nice.

I keep having the most raunchy dreams and waking up horny as hell!! So so weird, not that dh minds. He think its Christmas or something!

mum2kiss · 31/03/2014 09:28

Morning all...feeling pretty sorry for myself this morning...ive had a reallt sore throat all weekend and was up half the night coughing with a pounding headache...ive had to call in sick and heading to see the doc soon...just want to know if this is a virus or hayfever and what I can take to help!

Good luck to those having scans today. Mine is in the morning...very nervous!

Binglesplodge · 31/03/2014 11:57

Wow. Baby is in there, wiggling about and waving its hands. Suddenly this is real! Good luck everyone, the first scan is really amazing x

pebble82 · 31/03/2014 12:03

Yeahy biggle. I was the sane as you. No sickness or any strong symptoms so was very worried. Just goes to show everyone really is different.

ohthegoats · 31/03/2014 12:19

Congrats on scans!

I don't feel pregnant anymore until 8pm, at which point Ifeel i've been hit by a bus. Oh and during the night when I have to wee every 2 hours!

TroubleAndFyfe · 31/03/2014 12:49

Yay biggle, it really is magical isn't it? Still on a high from mine! Congratulations!

Cherie037 · 31/03/2014 13:13

Hello everyone, I have been reading all of the happy/frustrating/sad entries and all of the support everyone is getting and was hoping I could join. I am 11 weeks along but I had my first scan at 6 weeks b/c I did IVF. I have my second scan next week, so fingers crossed everything is still alright!
This is my third pregnancy and it is by far my worst!! My first 2 pregnancies were a cake walk compared to this one!! The only thing that gets me through the afternoon is a coke and a Crunchie chocolate bar.
I have tried crackers, fruit, nuts, tea and nothing seems to make me feel better. Is there anything anyone else is eating that helps with the nausea???

diamondbutterfly · 31/03/2014 13:22

Thanks bythesea

stigz you are my scan buddy for next Mon. I too feel time is going slowly, with dc1 I bought a house so the first bit seemed to much quicker

binkybunny · 31/03/2014 13:35

Congrats bingle. It is just a lovely and amazing experience and brings home how real it all is!

cherie ice lollies have been the only consistant thing thats helped me! Especially for breakfast Grin Constantly grazing on anything I can eat and keep down has also helped. I think its just a case of trying things til you find out what works for you.

Kirstipops · 31/03/2014 13:43

Yay Bingle, I'm still surfing the wave of my 12 week scan from last week!! It definitely feels so much more real to see a wriggly little mini-person on-screen!
My tum feels like it's firming up a wee bit lately, at the lower end anyway - anyone else feeling the same?
Hi Cherie, hope your nausea passes soon, I had to eat and eat until it passed...i ate pretty much everything! If coke and chocolate are getting you through it just now I wouldn't beat yourself up too much about it, needs must and all that!

tak1ngchances · 31/03/2014 13:57

Scan went very well.

Am kind of in shock/numb, these things always take ages to sink in with me.

Two main things we found out are that we are low risk for chromosome disorders and It's a little girl!! I would have been happy either way but it is nice to know. I'm the kind of person who doesn't like surprises.

She was very active and wriggly with a heartbeat of 155bpm. I am 12+4 today but measured 13+1.

I am going home now instead of to work. Was hanging on to a lamppost retching on my way to the clinic earlier and am just exhausted. Probably just as well, I really don't know how I would concentrate on anything Smile

SwimmingMom · 31/03/2014 14:11

tak1ingchances - that's excellent news! congratulations! you must be thrilled, relieved and am sure the nausea will be gone in days.

Enjoy the high feeling and don't stop looking at the scan pictures.

Cherie - try eating tangy & spicy food (if you can take it), its really soothing on the tongue and goes down well. If not chilli, then tangy will suffice.

Loulou888 · 31/03/2014 15:08

Cherie I've found that sucking on polo mint helps a little With the unpleasant tAste all day. Unfortunately nothing has helped me but starting to feel better on the odd day and also not all day like it was x

akachan · 31/03/2014 15:37

Hi all, great to hear more scan good news! I've finally got a date for mine, it's in two weeks, I'll be 13+2.

I've been really sick today though. Been really lucky up till now but suddenly feel dreadful :(

ohthegoats · 31/03/2014 16:16

I have a grim TMI type question, but I figure I'll be able to ask it here (I googled, and don't think I'll ever be quite the same after some of the images!)

Discharge. Yerp.. that joy.

Anyone else constantly feeling as if they've slightly peed their pants? I'm thinking that I really should be wearing some sort of knicker liner every day just so I can be sure nothing is leaking through my clothes. It's weird, and changes colour (sometimes beige, sometimes white, sometimes clear, sometimes a delightful yellow tinge), and consistency according to what I've eaten, but doesn't smell in any sort of disturbing way. Oh, except after sex when it smells of erm.. jizz. But that was always the case.

Just the amount.. urgh. Makes me think I'm bleeding or something. And the further I get along, the even less I want to keep thinking that that might be happening. Normal? Or a thing I need to get checked?

akachan · 31/03/2014 16:19

Yes goats I have that! I'm actually really glad to here I'm not alone. It's when I walk a long way especially - gravity I guess ewww. I get really paranoid I'm bleeding and I have to use quite a lot of willpower not to perform a knicker check on the packed train.
