Baby boy Fender was born by ELCS yesterday weighing in at a healthy chubby 8lb2. I'm up and about feeling well and he's an absolute superstar, we're very much in love

How are you feeling after your sweep comms?

I'm feeling a bit sore/crampy but no labour signs at all. Going to go for another on Friday if things haven't kicked off by then.

Congrats Fender! 2nd night after the section was the worst for me - recovery has been amazing since then. I'm almost feeling ready to go out for a walk somewhere one week later.

comms Yeh i am pleased its finally booked, still hoping he will come naturally but i suspect he wont lol.

Still no labour for me. Woke up with cramps and backache, asked DH to take the day off as I was convinced this was 'it' then all my symptoms went away.

Had my 41 week midwife appointment. Good things - we're both healthy and she thinks I'm about to pop. Bad things - she tried to do a sweep but Jr is so far engaged that he's pressing my cervix with enough force for her not to be able to get to the membrane. So I have the induction booked for 24th March.

I'm so bored and tired with my body almost going into labour, then backing away.

Dita sorry things are so on and off for you. Must be so frustrating. It sounds really positive from the midwife though, hopefully it won't be long for you.

dita sorry to hear ur not progressing aa well as ud hoped u will get there surely all the signs must be doing something! At least with the induction booked you have a date and hopefully your body will kick things off beforehand, ul be induced 2 days after me
I too honestly thought i waa going into labour this morn, woke up at 3am really painful period cramps on and off until 7:30ish with a bad back but now nothing its so frustrating.

comms how did you manage that lol?? That is impressive i cant even put my trousers on easily

mtb it wasn't my best job! So frustrating when things stop and start - I've had similar a few times now. It's all productive though even though it doesn't feel like it!

Thank you all for your congrats. Came home on Tuesday after staying in for one night and just settling into feeding, though my boobs are so engorged- Jordan eat your heart out! Nearing deciding on name, middle name is Evie and 1st name either Lilian or Lily????

Midwife just been and will come again tomorrow to weigh baby, so I get even more visitors on my birthday!! Gonna have to a glass of something because she is the best birthday present ever!

Contractions started at midnight, been using the wonderful TENS machine since the start (sooooooo helpful for me), now nearly ready to head off to the Birth Centre. See you on the other side.

comms i am clinging onto the fact that "something" must be happening! Im feeling extremely tired with occasional nausea, i have napped so much in the last 2 days which is unlike me! Think my body is getting ready for sats induction!!

I've had a major cleaning session today (I'd like to think I'm nesting but I love cleaning anyway...). I think I've lost some of my plug as well and I'm feeling a bit crampy but after the last few weeks of stop start I think I'll be at the pushing stage before I even contemplate that I might be in labour!

Fingers crossed for you comms that this is the start of something.

Maybe I will be the last Martian standing, due on the 26th but other than a few cramps no signs that anything is happening.

Ooh good luck Dita, hopefully I'll wake up to another Martian announcement tomorrow :-) you're super busy comms, don't wear yourself out too much in case you do start in labour! It's frustrating because you want to fill your time productively too. Only two more sleeps before your adventure begins MTB, is Sat 'our' 40+12 date?

Love the name Lillian BSpice, just my opinion but I think I goes better with Evie than lily - perhaps because of the two 'eee' sounds together?

We've settled on Luke as BabyFenders name. Nice and simple and easy enough for people to spell / pronounce We're all home safe and sound, and getting into a new sort of 'normal' whatever that means!
